I remember when I started skating there was this kind of "pressure" that u have to do this, do that, etc, and as I think back of when I actually ollied a 4-5 first time ever, i barely had any board control, and the whole thing was so fuckin sketchy, it could've gotten like really bad, so the point is, I guess you just really gotta skate a lot, and get good at ollies, before actually trying it down shit. Cause commitment is important and all, but it's a lot easier to be commited when you actually have ollies down really well. I guess a lot of times skating can look competitive for a beginner. And people think they gotta try shit. So anyways i guess there's no point trying something real hard just to get it crossed outta your list of tricks. It's better to gradually build up to a level where u progress, but u feel comfortable on the board at the same time. Consistency is really important.

Dude once you land a 5 stair once the confidence for drops increases exponentially, I immediately took it to a 5 block after my first 5 stair and the locals said it was the size of a 7 stair

The 5 stair at my local skatepark is way bigger than a normal 5. Really just longer than taller so I haven't sent it down yet cause it's really more like a 7 stair size
The reason that stairs at skateparks are so long is because the more speed you have, the less impact you have coming down, so they make them longer to force you to have a lot of speed.
Tried first time today and I broke the mental barrier then I feel most times but I was nearly clearing the set it clearing it then I ollied and next thing I know I’m doing the splits and now I’m way to scared

3: get buck
