Oh how I miss those days years ago when they had an actual makeup display! I loved their eye shadows and the amazing scent of their shampoo! This is back in the day when all of us were addicted to Love Spell! lol now it spells like cat pee to me! 😂

I love it because it's so unusually strong for a body mist. It has better performance than some of my perfumes, which really surprised me, and it's a large bottle so you can't go wrong! Unfortunately, here in Bosnia, we only have about 7 of them available in drugstore.
I think they might have changed the formula for Amber Romance. I had a bottle about 3 years ago and I just ran out. The new bottle that I bought a few months ago smells different and has more of a synthetic smell to it.
My only VS in my wardrobe right now is "Amber Romance."It does remind me of an amber incense I burn, I wore the VS and later got wafts of creamy amber and then with start recalled I spritzed this on. Quiet radiance that last for hours...warm and a tad woody it's great for those over sixteen. I feel that hair spray vibe is from the bottle but on the skin it's not there, just a coy amber scent that's good for evenings and colder weather. Got "Love Spell" in the cream and body scrub- very assertive and girly. Don't bother with VS much, it's 100TT or more in the VS stores here and the price of some affordable perfumes. I have seen some women in the office spraying on scents from bottles that look like that. I think they are smart to have them on hand for working long hours They are not too powerful yet I can still detect them through my mask. and I like the fragrances!

To be real, one of my friends from high school once said that all the VS fragrances smell like cheap sex. That was a while ago but to this day, it stuck to me.

Tell your cat I love him. In general I automatically love amber scents, but I would recommend BBW Sensual Amber over Amber Romance. Amber Romance is surprisingly sweet (I'm thinking a vanilla note? and I'm guessing VS in general veers towards sweet), and it's not my fave, but it does last a good while and I'll use it for bedtime. Apparently it keeps away mosquitos! There's been at least one experiment with it!
I'm a dude and I came looking for reviews on the Amber Romance because I had asked a lady in the store today what she was wearing and it was the AR. I loved the smell. I find it fun you mention that it smells like an old school scent from the 90's and it does. In fact it smells like a reformulated lighter version of a V. Secret scent called Heavenly, which was a favorite of mine. The 90's scent was a lot creamier and heavy. Back then they had a line Angel, Heavenly and a couple others.
Amber Romance (and Love Spell) has been around for a while! I wore it in early high school lol. It reminds me of a cherry vanilla scent I wore from Limited Too in elementary school haha.

I love Amber Romance. And it reminds you of an older perfume because it is… Amber romance is one of the OG Victoria's Secret fragrances, I believe it came out in either the late 90s or early 2000s. Maybe it's a nostalgia factor for me, but I really love the way it smells. My absolute favorite fragrance from them is strawberries and champagne which unfortunately they do not make anymore. I’m so glad they brought back Strawberries and Champagne - it was my favorite back in the 90’s! Whispering Mist and Pretty in Pink we’re favorites, too. They also had one called Vanilla Lace, I believe it was, back in the day that smelled like the 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods. I always preferred their “Secret Garden” body mists to BBW. So nostalgic to smell them again!

I can't for the life of me figure out why VS and BBW watered down their scents. Back in the 90s and very early 2000s, they were super duper strong. I remember VS Pear Glace' being so strong that if you sprayed on more than 2 sprays, people would be able to smell you across the room. I guess they lasted forever and they weren't being used up fast enough in order to get people back in the store buying more. But....man what it does to me is want me to find a good dupe that will last. It's a waste of money to keep buying these watered down scents.
The Love Spell you showed IS a limited edition version, its not the same as the original (its the La Creme'). Just FYI for anyone heading to buy. The Pure Seduction La Creme is way better than the OG as well. Mango Temptation is pretty good, I only really like First Love EDP from VS and some of their Very Sexy EDP's and mists.
I have the Very Sexy edp, red bottle, and love it. If you have the mists, can you tell me if they are worth buying? How is their longevity? I'm wondering if I should buy their mists instead of spending money on the edp for the others from the Very Sexy line.

I was probably around 9 when I first encountered VS body sprays and I have always loved Amber Romance since the first sniff and also, Pear Glacé. I still dislike the smell of Love Spell. I truly do not understand the hype about it, really. To me, it smells like an air freshener that cabs used to have. I just can't stand it. I bought a decant of Melon Sorbet along with other VS and BBW mists and that one smells heavenly! I plan on getting a full bottle. Favorite VS mist at the moment.

It was a crime to discontinue that one! I still have a little bit left in an old bottle and I cherish every drop of that shit lol. Same with my vintage Love Spell, which was way stronger and less sour smelling, very close to Hawaiian punch. The new formula is nothing like the 00s one.

I like the way you describe the scents. I can imagine the smells. One day I owned everyone one of them. That was 2006 and now at 2024 I have “Love Spell” only. I found your video to try and remember and I do recall the amber one was pretty awful. I think lovespell is my favorite. I was surprised when someone guessed my perfume. I really thought “Victoria Secret” was a little out-dated. I guess it’s not. I really want to compliment you on your description. You did a great job. You have a talent fir describing for sure. It was a crime to discontinue that one! I still have a little bit left in an old bottle and I cherish every drop of that shit lol. Same with my vintage Love Spell, which was way stronger and less sour smelling, very close to Hawaiian punch. The new formula is nothing like the 00s one.
I finally have the Victoria secret velvet petals body spray and lotion and my mom has the Victoria secret pure seduction body spray and lotion aqua kiss is another one of my favorite vs scents and I've recently tried amber romance and I really like it

I’m looking on the website for the “creme” version you talk about here. I only see “Untamed”, is this what you’re talking about when you say “creme” ?
No, that must be a new version. The creme must have been a limited release but honestly it is not much different than the original

I’m sure you’ve tried it, but I think a thousand wishes from bath and body works is the best year round available body care from Lbrands (although I think Victoria’s Secret and Bbw just separated)
