@@dougbarker2227 yes he does. I don’t anyone bombarded him and especially Ana on that issue. There was a time when I was writing to them daily on comments and every other way you can think of on that. At least he now acknowledges the truth. That’s an achievement
I love Armenians. In Middle School, I became best friends with 1 Armenian, and it soon turned into many, and even being called 'honorary Armenian' by the time I got to High School. I don't agree with most things that Cenk says, but I think he's right on Palestine, and also the Armenian Genocide.

I don’t watch Cenk because of the name of the show, young Turks, plus he is too liberal for me but on the Palestinian issue he is spot on. It’s just that in this show, he shocked me with his comments about the Armenians and Greeks. Didn’t expect that. I guess Ana was able to prove to him with facts that there was genocide because Turks were occupying our lands and we were fighting back just like Palestinians are now. It’s so good to hear about your experience in life with Armenians. All the love!!

the thing is that you need not look further than Northern Ireland and the acts of terrorism they commited and yet there was no religion doctrine as the basis for it. Occupation always ends in terrorism because the occupation itself shows that the oppressed can in no way shape or form win a land war against their oppressor so they have to resort to other tactics like Terrorism. It is a sad truth but we have multiple examples just like Ireland to confirm this

Israel has never been about a two-state solution. Everyone can see that it has never been on the table. People are finally willing to accept the reality of this genocide, and we are acknowledging what’s happening in Palestine at the moment. Israel did not expect the world to stand with the Palestinians. Otherwise, we would be speaking about Palestinians in the past tense.
What about the 1947 partition proposal from the UN that Israel accepted?

Well, not only the partition plan ... But the camp David accords, the Oslo accord, etc... there could have been a Palestinian states 6 or 7 times already but the Arabs there are not interested ... They just want the destruction of Israel! They chant it, they say it out loud at the television and in big rallies, they act on it. They even write it down in their charter (then, they were forced to slightly review their wording in 2017 ... But they still believe they need to get rid of Israel!).

@@katuiran his rebuttal was ridiculous. Obviously Pragar isn’t saying the size and scope of Hamas and the Nazi’s are the same, or the territorial control or mass killings equivalent. He’s arguing that the brazenness with which Hamas acts is greater than the Nazi’s since the Nazi’s tried to hide what they were doing. His rebuttal was a classic example of straw manning to win points in an argument rather than grappling with the actual argument. And Pragar called him out on that.
Saagar did a great job moderating this debate. If only presidential debates were ran so well...

@@mikelewis495I thought they were all terrible. I've spent hours and hours researching this and this is the worst debate I've seen yet. None of them did justice to their casues and I actually thought Cenk was the worst. I'm not sure if that's because of my prior knowledge of watching manipulate and mislead on so many things or not though. Regardless, I thought they were all very bad at adding anything new or constructive. I'm sure they did a good job being cheerleaders for the people who watched that have already made up their mind and decided that they have the right of it, but for people coming in unbiased who are just trying to understand and make an informed decision -- this was awful.

I can't think of a single example off The top of my head a politician who did the opposite of what the people wanted and lasted. Politicians I have voted for who did the opposite of I want in recent memory only did so because what I wanted Was what the minority wanted. Not a perfect system, but still better than the other 195 countries by a long shot.

P.s . I've been on both sides of this argument and I am still open minded. But the older I get the harder it is to believe that there is a cabal of a small collection of people Who want to make society worse for everyone and they happen to be running it. The vast majority of people are good. The vast majority of people have the best intentions. Unfortunately, however, the vast majority of people happen to be dumb as dirt.

I despise when Cenk puts words in the mouths of either his debate opponents or the side he is against. I also notice that the idea of humiliation is a big deal to him and others in his stance on the conflict. I feel that this is very telling, when lives are on the line the utter hollow subject of pride is downright disgusting. The descendants of Jordanians and Egyptians in the two occupied territories should return to the country where their grandparents had birth certificates issued from. To take up for the made-up land of Palestine, one needs to ignorantly swallow a pack of lies at the foundation of the claims, or worse be complicit in the plan to destroy the only Jewish state by purposely throwing away the lives of the people of Gaza or the West Bank. Dave literally lost the whole debate in the first 10 minutes like cenk usually does, when they admit their arguments can be used to defend Hitler but claim it's different because Hitler was less powerful. As if war was supposed to be a fair fight sporting event and it doesn't matter how evil a a government is or how many times they attack others. they should get a pass if they are smaller. This is how a debate should be run. While there were a few moments of intense rebukes, it was mostly civil while remaining very passionate arguments for both sides.

Actually less than half of the panel said it’s not a genocide, Ungar conceded that it’s more of an ethnic cleansing, and Dave Smith said he doesn’t care about the term because of its definition, but has called it a genocide in the past. Prager is the only one who said it’s categorically not a genocide. Also Prager sucks ass

Cenk needs to publicly come out with a correction about the reference to the casualty numbers after the UN came out yesterday to say the number is less than half of what was previously stated.

I'd usually agree but Cenk had good points here. His delivery needed more eloquence, but he's a compassionate dude, and this is a very emotional situation for many people.

She does not minimize the destruction, she minimizes any implication of evil intent from the Israelis. If you start a war against a more powerful opponent while stationing your troops in a civilian populated area, you are primarily culpable when 10 civilians die for every combatant killed.
Total death on each side of a war is a factor of battle tactics, military strength, and success, not the level of evil intent on each side. The Japanese were the clear aggressor in WW2, yet their casualties were 20 times higher than the Americans. I can both admit to the devestation the US caused in the Pacific while also not considering these actions as evil.

Cenk was completely wrong about Cyprus. Turkey shipped in illegal settlers from Turkey who outnumber the Turkish Cypriots.It was ethnically cleansed in 1974 of Greek Cypriots by Turkey. Turkey is occupying Northern Cyprus and it is recognized by only one country,Turkey! So by Cenk's logic Palestinians should be thrown out of Gaza to Egypt and Israel should occupy Gaza.
In addition in 1974,The Turkish Cypriot population was 18 percent of the island. Turkey's invasion force took 38 percent of the island. Cenk was completely wrong on that.

As someone who has moved away from the Democratic Party and now sits somewhere in the middle, I do like that this war has shown us who the real democrats are. It’s amazing how few of them are left in Washington. I might not agree with all the policies and ideas Cenk supports but I am much more willing to listen to him knowing that his heart is in the right place. I hope if there is any silver lining from this, it’s that people who sit on the center like myself can find common ground with democrats on issues like this and push the corporate politicians out of Washington for good.

No one has a problem with a Jewish state. But you can't just steal land and just keep saying we are the only jew state. Your stand should be based on legality. Indians were living in India for all their lives so they didn't just come from somewhere and made it a hindu state. That's no way related to Israel.
Nothing was stolen. They literally came there during the time when the land was legally owned by the league of nations and later Britain after the falls of ottoman. You talk about legality yet you clearly missed on that.

Equaiting dominance with justification is fallacious. In his opening Dave seems to be saying that because of this inbalance in power or dominance, Israel's actions are somehow not justified.
