I love how Jinx didn't react much when Harley stuck the stick of dynamite in her mouth because, since she is an expert in explosions, Jinx knew how long she has until the dynamite blows up before throwing it back at Harley.
I didnt thunk of that. I honestly just found it amazing that she is laughing with lit dynamite in her mouth and doesnt bother to take it out for a good while. I honestly expected her to Die at first because she forgot about it after beating Harley up.
That, or she is just A Crazy Pyscopath that loves explosions of all kinds.
The timing was entirely dependent on the compsition of the fuse, which can greatly vary. It's hard to imagine Jinx managed to figure out the type of fuse just by eyeballing it, so it was probably just plot armor.

My favorite part of the fight is when Jinx takes in a deep breath of the joker venom and just says, "Smells like... *home.* " 😂

@@Rosabella.Thorne7not entirely sure it can hold up to Joker venom though. I mean that stuff can put Superman down. Even when Joker developed immunity to Joker venom he was vulnerable to Scarecrow's toxin, which is the main ingredient in Joker venom. This shows that it isn't about having to build up a tolerance for toxins but to Joker venom specifically.
I still don't think this would change the outcome as I think she has a chance to just be incapacitated instead of killed (depending on how much she breathed in) as her other tech still puts the edge for her.
Not to mention that it would probably take a bit more to put Jinx down as Joker's joker venom is more potent. Harley can recreate it somewhat but despite her intelligence she doesn't have the recipes Joker made later on.
I see this as if Harley can bring the fight into a room of joker venom then Jinx would slowly lose strength till she succumbs. It would depend on if she can break out of the room.
Joker's later venom would put her down nearly instantly. No matter how much she is used to poison, the joker took down supes who can chug radioactive arsenic and cyanide smoothies while chopping down on a pufferfish without batting an eye. (Apart from the taste).

I think it was to depict the fact that jinx not only talks to her guns but also makes them talk too (just how a puppeteer will make his voice different to signal it’s the puppet talking) tho in the case of jinx she has convos where she makes the weapon talk and talks to it in return which she can actually get in intense convos where she might get mad, sad or else…she is another level of insane

I don't think so. Jinx isn't capable of having friends, her insecurities and trauma make it impossible for her to trust anyone. The last person she did trust, she accidentally killed whilst having a manic episode, so... There goes any chance of her being friends with Harley.

I love that detail.
Two things. 1. I love how neither of them were taking the fight seriously. It made the battle really interesting to watch since the tone made these wild cards even more wild. 2. I love the reference to Joker vs Sweet Tooth at the end. It shows the connection between Harley and Joker, as well as adding some comedy with Jinx's reaction.
Not to mention show that while Joker’s tactics will work on someone more unsuspecting like Needles, Jinx isn’t nearly as gullible.
Regardless of the winner, I’m amazed at the character growth DC has given Harley over the years. She went from a slapped-around sidekick of the Joker, to a threat all her own, to practically an honorary member of the Bat family. Way to go, Harls.

I'm not always able to tell who's going to win, but this one was clear cut.
Many of Harley's weapons were gimmicky, while Jinx's were designed to deal mass destruction.

It is a fact that the character of Jix has already fully entered into his personality. There is nothing left to save, she has already made one with her new personality. There is nothing left to help or save. It's as if someone came to say that the joker or Harley quoin are still recoverable cases. Powder was salvageable before, not now, her personality is now frozen as you see here, it's like that even in lol. The point of no return has already been reached, Harley has saved nothing here. LOOOOOL
Except you don't understand that the JIX you are talking about here is not the same as on the video. Jinx on the video is from the League of Legends Games, she has long since passed the Jix stage that you see at the end of Acane. This is why I explain to you that the one presented in the video is already an irrecoverable case, she no longer has an alter ego, she has completely become this crazy person. Moreover, the Schumer flows into her body and is part of her now. It acts like a permanent drug that structures her body biology and structures her mind little by little until she becomes the crazy person she eventually becomes. This process starts bit by bit since the last arcane episode When you see Jinx again, in arcane season 2 if she is there, you will find that she has become totally different like you see in this video or in the league of legends games. This is why Singed warns Silco in a certain way that she will no longer be the one who knew her (even if Silco already knows her crazy side), Singed warns him that it will go beyond that, because unlike the others who were consuming Schumer, Jinx received a special operation from Singed to save her life. It could be salvageable before this operation, but this is no longer the case.
The mere fact that you feel frustrated that you are unable to impose your arguments and that because of this frustration you plunge into insult, is sufficient to demonstrate that you have the mental age of a child of 3, 4 or 5 years. This was honestly one the most enjoyable Death Battles I've ever seen... just crazy fun to watch. I loved how Jinx just kept fighting with the dynamite in her mouth careful and comfortable and their matching maniacal laughter was awesome! Has me wondering was insane events would unfold if they ever teamed up.👍👍
The fact that both had similar reactions to being in a fight made this even more enjoyable

Post analysis side notes:
18:13 Vi's Atlas Gauntlets in the games require super strength to wield without injury, unlike the Gauntlets in Arcane. Shimmer-boosted individuals like
Jinx have also been shown to match Hextech in raw power.
18:27 Some DC street level heroes like Black Canary or Alanna Strange have potential light-dodging feats. However, League characters like Darius or Ziggs have also moved in tandem with or dodged light beams.
This makes Harley/Jinx equal with similar levels of levity.
18:42 Jinx's official loadouts also consist of Mortal Reminder and Bloodthirster, items that can dampen Harley's regeneration effects and leech Harley's health respectively.
18:58 Even using imperfect Hex technology, the inventors Jayce and Viktor were able to replicate teleportation spells that worked on objects hundreds of times larger than the original spell, supporting Hextech being on par with magic.
19:31 Joker's/Harley's most effective toxins were tailor-made for specific metahumans. Joker venom's effects have also been disrupted when used on those with biochemical alterations like Jinx, such as drug users and Poison Ivy. And if all else fails, Jinx has a gas mask.
I don't understand why they used the game items and loadouts as canon material. The summoners rift has not been canon for a decade now and Jinx definetly has not seen most of those items she regularly uses.
Considering also that she fights lol universe's biggest threats like the creator of Cosmos or the literal death of lol universe in the game.
Since when did Darius or Ziggs dodge beams of light? Ziggs has no feats to prove that but he's at least a yordle and we know they can do some crazy stuff. Darius is literally just a strong guy with a big axe that's cunning as far as battle tactics. Treating Ekko as being faster than bullets is also just plain wrong because the fight with Jinx in Arcane tells through visual storytelling that he's predicting her shots from when they played as kids, not actually reacting to and dodging the bullets as he sees them. Power scaling is so incredibly stupid.
The thing is league items should never count since they aren’t lore accurate to jinx and she isn’t immune to toxins and poison she also is not as strong as vi (idk why they mention that since in arcane we’ve seen how she isn’t able to beat her sisters high score when they were younger)
Yet another example of "If this wasn't Death Battle, they would be amazing friends"

Did both sides justice, and the animated fight was great. This is one of the best Death Battles.
Eh, I thought Jinx would die. I'm a League player and I call BS when Jinx survived that Mallet hit. The mallet destroys machinery and I always thought Jinx was brittle, and that her durability is highly exaggerated.
The hit from Braum wasn't full force, and Jinx would get rekt by Vi when hit, it's just that Jinx evades Vi more.
On top of that, Jinx isn't an expert melee fighter. Harley would have rekt Jinx close combat with her expertise Amazoness and acrobatics training and evasion.
I haven't watched yet, but the only good ending will be Harley giving Powder some MUCH NEEDED THERAPY.

Honestly think they would have came to a mutual respect to each other rather than either one truly winning. Also, Harley has a "unhinged" state of mind as well that kicks in when she is in danger that would have been interesting to have seen.

The Toxins and Joy Buzzers are always the Joker's and Harley's final gambit and if those didn't work, it was game.
Except Joker venom isn't a regular toxin

Yep, honestly that was a rare one where I just couldn't imagine how Harley could win this fight. Jinx has too many ways to win.

It was still a fantastic fight, I know that the animators don't decide who wins, so good job for making it fun; the bit with the cigar was pretty damn good.

@@disgaealikerasapOG Jinx had canonically died and brought back to life with drugs. Laughing gas is literally nothing to the power of drugs. What makes matters worse, Guardian Angel is an item in game that will bring a person back to life once they died, and is available every 300 seconds.
This was one of my favorites. Not just the fighting, but the humor almost like psychological warfare, if they were sane.
I was rooting for jinx, but if that did go more like it would've in arcane, she had a slightly smaller chance of winning, because she doesn't become that jubilant when being reminded of her childhood trauma, rather in arcane she seems like she becomes extremely vulnerable

Quite possibly the most wacky death battle yet, I really didn't know what to expect at first, but I never realized how physically strong Jinx was. That was such a badass fight.

But she is there, and you can even find the moment in their battle when this happens (when Blake is swinging around and Mikasa about to strike her down from behind). There should be an image on Blake and Mikasa's pages on the DB wiki if you need a better look (provided by yours truly)

I think we need more League of Legends champions in death battle. I was thinking of Samira vs Revy (Black Lagoon) or Darius vs Guts (Berserk) I was gonna say Garen instead of Darius cuz both Garen and Guts wield sword but Darius' story and personality has a bit of similarities to Guts.

“Look out, she’s right behind you” was “Sorry, was that important?” levels of hilarity. Really loved this episode, especially the dialogue between the two. I can safely say that this is my favorite season premiere now.

@@megatennepster3833 I liked the animation for this episode a lot better than the animation for Yodickey, but the banter was on the same level for sure. The only true contender for my favorite premiere is the gold standard, Dante vs Bayo, but this episode just meant more to me than that one did due to the characters used. I love Arcane and I love love LOVE the recent Harley Quinn show.

Both are amazing characters, I feel like Harley is better in hand-to-hand combat but Jinx outmatches her any day in terms of weaponry.

She used the sash which takes negative effects from you. I guess it removed the shimmer from her for a second before her body started making more

Love the little detail when jinx got poisoned. Her illusionary drawings going from vi and arcane’s art to the jokers “haha” and smile is a nice touch
I love how the way Harley tried to win the battle was the exact same way Joker tricked and beat Sweet Tooth
It was a very nice touch
The big difference is that Jinx wasn't trusting enough to fall for it.

I am legitimately surprised as I thought Harley was gonna win. But I'm more than happy Jinx won. I didn't realize she was SUCH a heavy hitter compared to Harley, and I love it!

For those who might not have noticed, the "Bandleglass Mirror Maze" they fell into is a reference to an item called the Bandleglass Mirror from League of Legends. I thought that was a nice touch.
Even better, that's an AP item which is useless for Jinx, so she broke it.
@@TrickingTrapster actually, there is an AP version of jinx but whether or not it's viable depends upon A, the opposing pick and B, whether Riot decides that year needs every AP item hard nerfed because a character is running wild and they refuse to fix it XD Her traps, rocket, megalauncher(R) and I think even her enhanced auto attacks benefit from AP, though as with most AP builds, she was played more as an assassin

I'm really glad you mentioned the healing factor and Harley's increased strength. As well as the immunity to poison. Because that is very often forgotten. Especially in the real movie adaptations, where she defeats whole SWAT teams without any explanation why she is capable of such a thing.

Not likely by my way of thinking. Joker could get Jinx wrapped around his finger with no more work than a colored contact lense and a fatherly tone of voice.

I admire the sentiment behinds this recent interest in helping or redeeming Harley's character, cause she's a victim in many ways and she has it rough, but I just don't dig the result the same. As Joker's moll, she's damaged, and often pitiable, and often scary, but something can be scary and sad and still good fiction.
That said, canon's a fluid thing, and taste's subjective. We ought respect other people's tastes, even if we don't agree. And there will always be some new reboot/elseworld/etc with a thoroughly Jokered Harley out every other month, cause ideas rarely really die.

Now this is a tiny detail that I liked. When Jinx was looking around the hall of mirrors, she actually SAW where Harley was before they jumped out with the bat. But rather than turn and shoot, she just turned away and kept the crazy look in her eyes. Pretending not to notice Harley and catch them by surprise.
Damn, not only is Jinx really smart, she’s also a terrifyingly good actor.
In the ziggs comic that was mentioned, Jinx has a few pages of getting into a dress and pretending to be apart of a high class party in piltover, she not only fools everyone, but blows up the cake, a few buildings, and many peoples moods, wail being right in front of them.

Jinx has stronger strategic mind raised by silco after all. Harly had Joker but she was just a stronger henchman so he didnt install his chaotic thinking/planing to her , while Silco raised Jinx as his daughter and successor with that she learned a lot from him.
She alwey plans out her mayham. the booming at festival by setting the house a fire and planting bombs with little girls voice calling for help, the bridg scene with fireflies, dress and pretending to be apart of a high class party in piltover in a story (copyed) or in a other story she left a spry paint telling that she will hit piltover most secure treasure and date she will do it but Jinx had already smuggled herself inside by way of an oversized coin crate that had been delivered days before.

A very fun episode. Nothing gets me more exsited than seeing two characters i care a bout in a death battle. And if the fight starts and its not 8 bit, i jump up and down with glee.
Jinx's murdering all those crows at the beginning is a clear sign of her hatred toward both Swain and Fiddlesticks.
Edit: I was going for the video game side of the spectrum where both Swain & Fiddlesticks ultimates/abilities use crows sorry if the comment was confusing everyone.
