Just keep filling out the info. and it will get to a point that will tell you if it's in or out. You can exit out before you get to end.thanks for watching
Thanks for the video . Do you know when the warranty Starts is it the serial number or the time purchased ? Example I bought 2 m12 battery’s today and say they are made in 2019 and are already passed the 3 year warranty but we’re just purchased?
If the serial number is on the receipt, there will be a chance they will use that date. But not all the time. I have seen it go both ways. Most of the time, it's the serial number on the battery. Thanks for watching.
How would you have NEW batteries that are already 3 years old?? That must not be an authorized seller, none of them would sell new batteries that were out of date. I doubt you'll see any warranty with those, that's why I quit buying on Ebay, Amazon of FB Marketplace...
I have a Milwaukee impact wrench that is broke. I’ve only used a couple times had it for around a year and a half went on the website like you showed put in the information shows it has a five-year warranty through Home Depot. I do not have the receipt no way to get it, so they want to charge me around $180 to fix it because I don’t have the receipt will not be buying any more Milwaukee tools
If you can see the serial number on the tool you do not need a receipt. If you only used ita couple of times you should have no problem reading the number.
@@midatlantictools not true. i sent in 2 different 3/8 ratcheting wrenches within a year of purchasing them.. each time they charged me $84 to fix them. (They were $75 on amaxon brand new) . I'm done with milwaukee now. sold all my tools and switched to hercules. had one tool break so far (the retaining ring on the 3/8 impact came ,off) and they warrantied it right there and then with a brand new tool within 3-4 minutes
Yes and no. The serial number has the date the tool was made. They will use that number to see if your tool is under warranty with no receipt. If you send it in with a receipt as long as they can match the receipt number to tool they will use date sold on the receipt. Thanks for watching
Always be careful when buying some tools online. Some manufacturer will not honor the warranty online sales do to 3rd party sellers and counterfeit products. If you don't have a tool truck you are better off going to a store. Thanks for watching.
Wished I had kept all my receipts. Had a M-12 3ah battery die and I knew it wasn't real old, but we went by the serial number and I totally misunderstood the warranty I thought the tools AND BATTERIES WERE 5 YEARS. Tools yes batteries 2.....crap. Plus 'some' companies I bought from {Tools Plus} on eBay told me they were an authorized dealer. Milwaukee said they were not. Crap. I guess ONLY the dealers on the Milwaukee website are the ONLY REAL authorized Dealers.
I used to bring my broken tape measure to Home Depot for years and they replace it no problem … Now they are greedy and not doing anymore … Going back to fat max since it’s a better tape
Couldn't find the receipt, manufacture date unknown from Milwaukee. If determined out of warranty, repair cost twice the retail price. No thanks, and they don't know the manufacture date?
Sorry to hear that. Never had one twice as much as a new one to repair. If the number on the tool is typed in right it should tell you if it's cover. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Great information
Hope it helps if you ever need to a warranty Milwaukee tool.
thanks for the info, I just needed to confirm I was out of warranty, their website was unclear on how to actually check that.

I bought a retail tool set on marketplace brand new theres no way I can get a guarantee right?
If you go to the webpage and enter the model and serial number it will tell you if it's cover.
On the Milwaukee website say no worries about registration, is it true? I can’t find anywhere to register my tool :(
I have never done that. They go of the SN on the tool. Thanks for watching
No way ! I have like 3 drills 3 nail guns I can turn in and a saw
So if I buy from Home Depot. Do I have to get the Home Depot warranty?
What's a Home Depot warranty? Never look up what it is...
If you loose your receipt are you stuck with a broken tool?
Yes and no. The serial number has the date the tool was made. They will use that number to see if your tool is under warranty with no receipt. If you send it in with a receipt as long as they can match the receipt number to tool they will use date sold on the receipt. Thanks for watching
@@midatlantictools Ok, Thanks for the reply
How long is the warranty
It all depends on the tool. Thanks for the feedback.
I bought mine online

How do you know you're covered under warranty?
When you enter the serial number, it will tell you if it is or not.

I never used a computer there is no store to warranty them
There are some repairs stores.
Sometimes, having a computer makes things easier.... like this video🤷♂️
Bullshit
