- the Glass Structure series is a collection of short compositions that didn't quite make it as fully-made tracks, resurrected into what will later be used as new background music. here's an extremely ancient project that never came to be; was supposed to be like all the other drum & bass tracks i've made around 2015, but i gave it a bit of a slow-down to better emphasize the rhythm it was supposed to go for. also vocoded amen break because i was just stupidly weird at that time.

My honest opinion I think you should take a good long break from the Internet, more than just a few months. Go and try to live life in any way you can, spend some time to yourself, play some games. @@mmm-pc3xe Speaking from personal experience, I can confirm that it helps a lot. And while I agree, the choice is up to Dokuro. I really think taking a long break from the internet would benefit him a lot.
If he does, hopefully it ends up being helpful, unlike last time... But at that point it really depends on what happens during it.
I know I'm just a random stranger on the internet, but goddamnit, I care about Dokuro greatly. A lot of his music, especially STILL HERE, helped me get through my depression and actually helped me understand much more about myself than anyone else could. I just hope he feels better someday. I'd be devastated if I found out he was gone...

@@Cramslor true. also about the rambling part, a lot of people including me at least when we talk about our feelings feel like we're just rambling but it really is good to let out and get things off your chest. Also also I think many of us or maybe at least just me when we're going through something mentally might be because we have trouble managing and expressing our thoughts and feelings irl. What I'm typing now I wouldn't be able to even speak the first sentence of in real life. I think we need to try and get more comfortable expressing ourselves in the real world because most people are getting their asses kicked by the world.
Considering lavender - both the color and the herb - are often attributed with calming properties, I’m surprised this isn’t calmer.

I've been following your music for a long time. Maybe not from the very beginning, but for long enough that what you have created has kindled my sense of music enjoyment.
There's nothing like blasting down a trail on the bike and one of your, fast aggressive break songs comes on. Or contrairily, driving into the sunset after a day's work to something of yours I've been hearing since I was a teenager.

I've been listening to your music for the past 7ish years, and I've loved every second of it. Some of my favorites were the remix of worm rave, the wrong number song, reality check through the skull, the spear of justice cover, sirens call, Antarctic reinforcement, Universal collapse, theme of crabulon (1NF3S+@+!0N), return to slime, theme of the sulfurous sea (wasteland), Theme of the profaned crags (the step below hell), stained, brutal calamity, blessing of the moon, the full ferrofluid album, Descent, 64657363656e74, still here, 9, Bacteriophage. I've enjoyed many of the glass sculpture songs, but theres so many, I cant really name my favorites. And lastly, the tale of a cruel world. Your music is what got me into calamity, and even though I know you will not be returning to it, and the community was rude and toxic, I will never forget the simple beauty of that song. I loved the touch of bells being used in both the beginning of the game, and the very end during the stained, brutal calamity song. Even though you have moved past calamity, I will continue listening to your music, because it has a beautiful emotion that no other can achieve.

I like this, reminds me of those old 2000s discs that you'd buy that came with 10 small indie games.
This sounds like the music that would play in the menu where you choose which game to install.
But I can't help but imagine your Creativity lost in a vacuum, attempting to take shapes, grasp onto a solid ground and use it to help gather itself and neither fails nor succeeds.
I mean you litteraly made a music name "confusion about being human" which i can painfully relate.
But mostly, i like this stuff. I can't let go of how the simplicity of the past satisfied my young mind, and this piece portrays it well for me.

DM Dokuro, I have a question for you.
What did you do to me. I left this song on loop for 5 minutes, and I begun to notice that the strongest smell, no, STENCH, of lavender, had infiltrated my poor, simple apartment. I tried looking for where the smell came from, yet to no avail, no matter where I went, the smell of lavender did not diminish. I searched for hours, flipping the house upside down, so much so that it started to look like a hoarder’s home, yet I was unsuccessful. I turned off the air conditioning, the fans, the “air purifiers”, yet I couldn’t get the smell out of my home.
I went outside, perhaps the local greenery could give me some respite, but no, the smell of lavender remains, never faltering in its quest to fell me. Hell, the calming sounds of the chirping birds had been drowned out by the accursed lavender.
I went to my car in a pitiful last ditch effort. I had always despised the strong smell of the car’s air conditioning, but in times like these, you start to get desperate. Yet no matter how long I spent in it, letting the engine run for a whole hour, the foul smell of lavender continued to haunt me.
I suddenly had a revelation, perhaps it was my clothes that were reeking of lavender, so I went back home and took a shower, a shower that was permeated by the smell of lavender. To my horror, no matter how many litres of soap I dunked myself in, I had yet to escape its foul grasp.
I reached out to my friends, praying for someone to understand my absurd plight, and maybe, just maybe, someone who could get rid of this curse you planted onto me. Yet, when they arrived, they thought me a lunatic, a lunatic that had destroyed their own home in an effort to find the source of “lavender”. It turns out, they could not sense your curse, so what did I do? I pretended everything was all right, I pretended I was joking, I had a cover story ready just in case worse came to worst, should they not believe my story. But it was so painful, maybe someone realised that something was wrong, but if they did, they didn’t care enough to help me. It was at this moment I finally realised. I was alone.
I spent weeks wrangling with myself, trying to figure out a solution to the thing you inflicted me with. During this time, for some ungodly reason, my friends started talking about going overseas, why is this an issue? They place so much emphasis on the "lavender gardens" that they wished to visit. This pissed me off to a stupid degree, yet what was I to do? I couldn’t do a thing, I couldn’t say a thing, because NONE of them would have understood. Oh my goodness I can already imagine their reactions to my rant, even if they believed me, they would probably say stuff like “Lavender is nice, how could you hate it so much?” and “Come on dude, just get over it” like bro you don’t just “get over” stuff like this. This damn thing has been haunting me for what feels like an eternity, and you want me to just ”get over it”? What do YOU know about stuff like this? Every waking moment I am dealing with the stench of lavender, heck, even in my SLEEP I am not safe. I watch my dreams turn into lavender fields, stretching into the horizon, interrupting my fantastical, whimsical dreams like an alarm clock. I want to curl up in a ball and cry the bitterness away, yet I can’t even do that, because nowadays, I can’t lay still for more than a moment, lest I become paralyzed by the accumulating smell of lavender.
After so many weeks, I have finally arrived to a sound decision. DM Dokuro, I may not know where you are, I may not know who you are, but know this, when I eventually find you, you WILL know what it is like to be drowned, enveloped, ENCUMBERED by the smell of ORANGES.
Prepare yourself, because I will fill your entire region in a fifty, no, five HUNDRED mile radius with the stench of oranges, to you, that may not sound like much, but trust me, it will be the most agonising experience you have ever gone through in your entire life. Mark my words.
(This joke was based off of the fact that I legit started smelling lavender when I left this song on loop)

Tell me dokuro do you remember the cave story remix track you made 8 years ago? Specifically ballos theme imparticular. That was most likely the most epic thing I ever heard in my life. You may not be doing calamity music anymore. But I do think that you could start making remixes as well like you did with cave story. Your work with remixes are significant. I hope you read this comment because you make some epic music.

I know a bit late and all, but I think now we can say thank you on behalf of the entire calamity community.. thank you for the wonderful songs like roar of the dragon or scourge of the universe. They all sound super good and calamity wouldn't be the same without them... They are part of the mod and without them the mod wouldn't be as good as it is today. The songs are sometimes the only reason I replayed bosses like yahron even though the boss is way too hard for me but the song was worth starting the fight over and over again. So thanks again on behalf of the calamity community.. ❤ :)

The negative thing would make the positive thing seem hollow and just make it worse, right? It's (Correct me if I'm wrong, it's not like I'm some expert about this topic or anything) a similar thing with him and his Calamity songs. Instead of thanking him and reminding him of these things, we can just support his newer songs and move on without letting his songs from Calamity overshadow the things he actually wants to make.

Since the comms are off on calamity's soundtrack posts I wanted to let you know, it is a masterpiece and I love listening to it on a daily basis. It is by far one of the greatest OST ever made for a video game.
So, say, imagine someone hit you till walking hurted.Then each day, for 6 years, they come back and say "youre epic". You tell them to stop but they dont. This is what you are doing - saying "youre epic" only makes it worse.
