I had a channel that was demonetized on Jan 15th 2024 and then after 90 days I was refused reentry into the partner program because they claimed my channel had "reused content". Which was complete BS. 100% of the videos was recorded and edited by me. When I contacted YT about it, they simply reiterated the same canned nonsense as in this video. But they could not provide one example of any reused content. But it didn't matter. YT stole $100s of my already earned ad revenue and there was nothing I could do. YT and google is not an honest company. Small creators and even medium size creators don't stand a chance. They don't have the influence to create a big enough campaign to overturn these nonsensical rulings and they don't make enough money to sue YT for breach of contract. I don't even think my communication with YT was with a real person. It was too repetitive and we entered a logical loop multiple times. I am 99% sure I was talking with an AI.
What they want is you recording a video and explaining how you go about creating those videos. If you have the option to appeal, this is what what you need to do. They will re-approve your application. I've done it like 3 times on this channel and other 2 and it worked
@@AfricaRevealed I did that, a 5 minute video explaining the process. My voice, my face, my process, my creative theme and all that jazz. Uploaded set to unlisted and they were given the link.
@@BlenderRookie I did this over 9 times. One time the appeal video showed that no-one watched the appeal video and rejected me again. I contacted YT creator support team (via a email I had in the past) and they were completely rude to me with a robotic repetitive loop that I was denied. I called the bluff and requested a person to communicate with and they ended up watching less then a minute of my appeal and said I was denied. After a year of not being on the YT program I simply split my channel into two separate channels as I did not know what was re-used and I was monetized on both channels in no time after I did this. It took me 7 years to initially get my channel up and running (only 7k subs with great analytics) and now I know that I did not communicate to any human and did not have any human watch my appeal videos.
@@SuperFly_Kickz_ Yup. Same. My channel fell off a cliff (125k/day to 3k/day) after I was done for "reused content" that was all mine. Hasn't reovered after 2 years and is in recession. So demoralising and unjustified. And inconsistent - roll of the dice whether they let you back in on appeal.
Exactly, this channel took my content and YT allowed it: 10TopTechTY They take from everyones channel and are making profit on our work. I make no money from YT yet these channels can without even making their own content.
@@BackcountryTripper Kind of defeats the reason for them being called "Content Creators" when they make literally nothing just low effort leeches using others content and taking all the money and praise.
@@Spectre1Gaming 100%!!! We, as 'Content Creators,' lose incentive to create new content. Even when I requested the content removed, RUclips favored these leeches. They said I have to get a lawyer to take the content down. LOL. I said, 'You mean a lawyer for the content I don't make money on? The content I spent hours editing, buying filming gear, and going to these locations?' But these people are allowed to simply take my content and upload as their own.
@@BackcountryTripper I feel sorry for you brother no one should have to go through that hopefully this is a start of that change, doesn't matter if you make revenue off it that is YOUR content not any one else's.
Here's feedback: Make HUMANS available to contact for all RUclips partners instead of AI. Make it possible for creators to TALK TO SOMEONE when there's a TOS or demonetization issue.
I got demonetized for that even though I showed them my Premiere timeline where I spent hours on the video. I think they don't use humans to review the appeal at all. Everything is AI or the Reviewers are not doing their job well.
YT is ditching shorts ! Particularly coming from the platform of Tiktok. If you have uploaded a video of yours. Then you are to make a short of the same video clip, YT is not going to like it. That is what he means
Yeah @daily dose of internet .... does that he get millions of views and he gets paid from yt sonstop saying that because you partner pays people to reuse content
I have a reused content channel, but I try to add as much value as possible, in terms of editing, music, and sound design. I try to spice up moments from podcasts and deliver them in small consumable bites that people who may not enjoy long-form content. Do you think that's BS too, or nah?
Dear RUclips, DO BETTER and please reevaluate your AI/Content Duplication Test! My channel recently got removed from your Partnership Program for "reusing content" and, after submitting my 5 minute video to appeal, my monetization was DENIED for not explaining how I edit my videos and the origin of my content. I primarily do LIVESTREAMS. I DO NOT EDIT anything. All questions for tarot readings, discussion, fun, etc. originate from the viewers during collaborations. All of my content is NOT SCRIPTED. I collaborate with other channels through STREAMYARD and we SIMULCAST to our individual channels. Lisa Live! consists of me INTERACTING WITH A LIVE AUDIENCE! My theory is that STREAMYARD AND RUclips are not interfacing appropriately. I mentioned ALL of this and more during my APPEAL VIDEO TO YOU. Pay close attention to the feedback you are receiving in your video. You are incorrectly penalizing the wrong people. - Lisa Smith / Spirit Intuitive Tarot
I’ve been reading so many comments here Lisa and I can’t believe how many people have had the same issue that you’re having. I love our Saturday’s together and I will continue to advocate for you to the best of my abilities. Too bad RUclips is missing out on taking that 30% of donations 😂
I am very unhappy at the way Lisa Smith / Spirit Intuitive Tarot is being treated for a LIVE STREAM. It makes me think that you really are not reading the reasons for the appeal. This makes me believe you are just denying appeals. Please do better. Will you please reopen her appeal and truly read her reasons for her appeal? Thanks
I am very disappointed with how Lisa Intuitive Tarot is being treated by RUclips. All her content is original. Maybe you should demonetize yourselves until you improve your performance!!

Reused Content Policy system is Broken. I've had my own channel removed from YPP for reused content while i create my Own Original Content and i've explained it to the review team so many times. also so many channels try & steal from my channel and use my own original clips in their videos and shorts. I want the system to be completely transparent because reused content policy strike is worse than a copyright strike, it completely removes you from YPP without any Warnings or indicators about a certain video.
Dear RUclips, please please please work hard at this... all these "montage" channels that straight up steal popular footage and mash them into a simple "best of the day" video is the weakest show of effort in "transformative” use. At minimum, healthy and clear auto attribution back to the original sources, plus fair and equitable distribution of monetization to the original creator would be the first in the industry, and truly groundbreaking.
you can use any video under fair use.. like pause and talk over it.. for commentary criticism.. creators dont understand fair use.. see h3h3 productions law suit they wont against creator who said they stole their content
Another common thing those channels do is include royalty free music and then register it was their music using the montage video as the "source". If you use RUclips royalty free audio anywhere else you'll end up with copyright strikes because of that.
@@BackcountryTripper Did they comment over your content or put it in a compilation with other videos? Because that's why they were favored, doesn't break copyright law if they made it fair use
@@MrFalliorsLife Yes, they did, but their usage of it is borderline copyright infringement. If I use a few seconds of music, I would get a copyright infringement right away, but if they take a bunch of my frames from my video, that is okay? I understand where you are coming from, but there is a point where they are just taking content not because they are adding value but because they can use other content creators' work and make money from it. If a news channel used some of my content to report about me, I would be 100% okay with that. Side note: they also cropped out my videos to remove my logo watermark. Also this is YT's platform they can make their own rules regarding this stuff so that it's fair for us original content creators.
I think you understand WHY I'm watching THIS video: my channel with 432,184,912 views and 661k subscribers was de-monetized a few days ago for reused content despite that ALL the content is 100% mine (fishing and underwater videos + a few own documentaries). My appeal with the video where I'm clearly explaining that I have a PROOF of the ownership which is raw footage (that's the only proof of the ownership in the entire film industry) was rejected because as they (it if it was an AI) said I didn't film how I'm filming (underwater?). I strongly believe that there is something else going on behind this campaign with 'reused content' because: 1. What is the difference for youtube if a video generates profit (no copyright issues)? 2. WHY youtube doesn't warn users first, like with copyrighted content? Generaly speaking, youtube literally called me a thief and a liar so, now I need to think what to do with those official statements.
The most controversial and dishonest policy with no clear understanding whatsoever of what is "reused content" and what is not... A lot of channels still go on about producing videos with very little effort, slideshows with captions and background music, and they keep on and on, reopening new channels like mushrooms and they don't get demonetized ever. Double standards at its finest... RUclips has to admit that they apply same rule differently to different group of people. It's a fact...
The main thing RUclips needs to do is show us the creators where in the video is used content or give us a chance to correct the video. Not wake up to find our page is un-monetized and now we have to appeal which often fails just to wait 90 days to be back accepted!
RUclips has demonetized my main citing "reused content" as a reason almost any time a video actually got popular on it, even though my primary content the past few months was livestreams with my voice interacting with chat which would not be able to fit this criteria by it's nature. When I would demand they tell me which videos they would flag as reused content, I would never get an answer. I got fed up with trying to play guessing games with what RUclips is looking for after I deleted fan-demanded video contents off my channel and STILL couldn't avoid demonetization. The "reused content" policy is a sham.
only took 20 years to figure out this was good for creators. we should get ALL the money made from our stolen content. This is a multi hundred million dollar business people have stealing content and monetizing it.
It's utterly pointless that you don't actually tell anyone WHICH VIDEO is causing the problem, so they can work out if something has been misidentified, leaving the user to just delete loads of stuff. And get humans to help us, Team RUclips is staffed by bots. And stop saying "off of". You mean "from".
Dear RUclips, when content is demonetized for any reason, please specify where the violation occurred so that we creators can edit that portion of the video instead of throwing the whole thing out. You guys made timestamps a thing. Use them. Thanks!
They need to be more clear instead of automated ai demonetization channels and then give super vague responses, reminds me of world of Warcraft banning people with automated ai and then having to manually unban them after lol 💀
I was checking my videos that get a bit traffic and notice that some of my videos show up after 30 views per page. BANG had a notice that this video was de-montized saying I had used a copyright music, which was obtain in VN royalty free. They gave my tiny earning to the music creator, which if that is the case okay. I quickly addressed this and edited it in Studio with YT music
I believe that if someone uses another person's content, irrespective of how transformative it is, the original creator should receive a fair share of the revenue. This opportunity shouldn't be limited only to creators enrolled in Content ID; it should be accessible to all channels and creators.
RUclips should have content CREATORS paid differently than content REGURGITATORS. That's like a baker taking another baker's cake and putting icing on it then going, "...I made a cake! I should be paid a lot for it!" No. You didn't bake it; someone else did all the work to bake it. You basically slapped icing on it for 20 seconds of time and claim it to be YOUR CAKE that you should be paid for. I can't stand regurgitators who say "...it's trending all over, so I'm gonna take all the videos I can find about it and upload it with MY FACE in the lower corner!!!"
YT is ditching shorts ! Particularly coming from the platform of Tiktok. If you have uploaded a video of yours. Then you are to make a short of the same video clip, YT is not going to like it. That is what he means
it's pretty cool tho that your stuff is good enough that ppl wanna use it and spread it around. 🤷♀️ can't it be watermarked or tagged somehow ? there's usually og creator signature on it somewhere. except shorts. I hate it when I can't link the full video.
This youtube system simply doesn't work. I advise any small time or middle Creator to NOT put your hope, love, sweaters, blood, and dreams, hard work into believing youtube is a fair way to go.
My account got demonetized because nobody told me that I can't repost my video as a YT Short. This is just a guess because RUclips WONT TELL ME WHAT I'M DOING WRONG
Quite extraordinary that it was never even mentioned that "reusing" somebody else's content without permission infringes copyright, so is illegal. This video basically says "hey, stealing other people's stuff is fine if you just alter it a bit" -- a very worrying position for RUclips to take. Copyright law is what makes it possible for creators to earn their living online.
Never reused any content and got demonetized for reused content. Lost my appeal and now have to wait 90 days to try again. It took me 10 months to get monetized and 3 month to get demonetized without a clear explanation. So now I’m watching every bit of content about this subject so I can learn from it and understand what’s going on. 🤦♂️
There are channels with millions and millions of view that build upon short snippets of other creators videos, but those creators do not get any reward, they do not even know someone is building wealth upon their work, because the snippets are under certain threshold and they do not get reported by the Content ID sustem. Do you plan to do anything about that?
only few get wealth from others clips.. like thirdphaseofmoon and secureteam10 I make a loss myself and I use clips.. depends if you debunk or promote the fraud/fantasy
Reuse content is becoming even more popular than the real creator contents. RUclips needs to need to do something about it. someone will take your video, put his face by one side and repost. its annoying
YT is ditching shorts ! Particularly coming from the platform of Tiktok. If you have uploaded a video of yours. Then you are to make a short of the same video clip, YT is not going to like it. That is what he means L
If we reuse the content? Is there a forgiveness? Can you tell us what video is it? Sometimes, we forget that we already uploaded the same video and we didn't realize that.
I have a lot of people re uploading my shorts with no modification whatsoever, but I let it go because to strike those channels, means giving my whole address and phone number to the person 💀💀
Yeah, and never get to see theirs, even if they're found guilty! I think it's weird that we have to provide our full name and information, and the offender remains anonymous the entire process.
Would RUclips go through the effort to confirm you are the one being ripped off, or is there the risk that RUclips might think you are the one reusing content? It sounds like it is a nightmare to file an appeal or even figure out which content is flagged.
false, they will not see your address unless they decline your dispute and decide to go to court, both of your informations are private and when the dispute is resolved no information is spread out to anyone. please don't spread missinformation, and if you're worried about your address and privacy just use the address and phone of your lawyer.
@@RetrovexAmbient Does it say that somewhere? Have you received a copyright notice? I'm asking because I have filled out many take-down notices against people stealing my videos, and I don't remember ever seeing any statement saying that my information will not be sent to the offender. The summary email RUclips sends me appears to be the same they will send to the offender, and it lists my information. I was always under the impression RUclips states the information to the offender (if they don't, they don't make it very clear), and evidently other people are under the same impression. Short of filing a claim, is there anywhere I can go to see where this is stated?
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR yes i got copyright problems before and contacted both youtube support via youtube studio chat and twitter and just to make sure i asked the community on reddit, they really dont make it clear on your first time dealing with this, but it is the way it is i said, you must remember that you are abiding by the law and your work being copyrighted is a very serious subject many people dont take seriously, ive taken down many videos with my copyrighted content and if someone is to lie that your content is theirs it is absolutely going to court and you cant do that without a phone number and an address, so again, give your lawyers details both phone and address if youre afraid of being exposed to the general public.
Reused Content is one of the vaguest policies out there RUclips has ever published. In the past 5 years, my channel has been demonetized and remonetized at least half a dozen times due to "Reused Content", all of that without ever changing a thing in what I do as a channel. For context, I am a gaming and anime reviews, news & editorial channel. Every single demonetization, whether after an immediate appeal or after numerous rejected appeals, has resulted in a "It appears we made a mistake, welcome back to YPP" with no accountability for the amount of revenue this constant mistake has caused me throughout. None of them provided any reasonable answers as to why I had been thrown out, despite having been manually reviewed and apologized to numerous times before, at which point, I can only assume that some AI bot is roaming around and doing things as it sees fit and there are in fact no "human reviewers" involved. RUclips already has a full on Content ID system that allows original creators to redirect revenue from "stealing" creators, and then the DMCA system on top of that, both of which get abused to no end but are at least on a video specific level. The fact that one of the vaguest guidelines is being used to demonetize entire channels while stating "We are protecting creators and advertisers", while continuing to show ads anyways, is disingenuous at best, theft at worst.
Also their practice of guess whats wrong and not precising what videos are problematics are illegal with work related laws In any job, if youre doing something wrong they will point out the exact thing you do wrong. They not gonna be like "hehe guess i wont tell you precisely where something is wrong and forget your next paycheques as consequences" 😂
The system works exactly as intended. They leave it vague and leave creators in the dark and demonetize people in waves while still running ads on their videos so they no longer have to share revenue for a few months. Allows them to juice their earnings as a company
I want to sue you tube for such rude , illegal , cunning behaviour. Based on vague reuse policy , Even i am also aggrieved of it . I am a real lawyer Practicing in High court of India . I will sue google and youtube soon . Challange their transparancy and stealing our labour , our wages , our stress , I ll sue them soon in India । 👍
I create all my own original content and just got demonetized for "reused content" and not being able to prove the content is actually mine. Not right. All of us creators work really hard and to have it be determined by a AI robot if we get demonetized is not cool.
I like the sentiment of the "reused content" policy, but this policy is NOT being implemented by RUclips. It takes me months, in one case it took me 2 years, to bring my ORIGINAL projects to RUclips only to have other channels steal my work and claim "fair use." There is one channel with over 880,000 subscribers that didn't contact me or ask to collaborate with me they just straight up stole a year’s worth of hard work from me. At the time I had around 1000 subscribers. This larger channel cherry picked the best stuff from my videos, slightly edited it putting their face and commenting, and then she proceeded to make thousands of dollars off my work. Meanwhile, I have lost money on nearly every video I have made on my channel because I am putting in the work, buying the software, doing the research, doing the interviews, and putting my life on the line in a few cases to bring original content to RUclips. Some of the videos that this larger content creator stole from me I wasn't even eligible to make money off of at the time, but that didn't stop this larger content creator from reusing my content and making over $10,000 off my hard work. RUclips needs to do better. Anytime a content creator takes content from another content creator, "fair use" or not, the ad revenue needs to be split 50/50 at minimum. I have stopped making content on my channel for almost a year because I am sick and tired of losing money on every video I make but other content creators profit off my work simply by copying, pasting and commenting. I refuse to be exploited any longer.
@ElGrimorio 0 seconds ago What about "reaction videos"? Its amazing how many people are reusing content of whole videos to make "reaction videos" which are rather an excuse to take advantage of the content someone else created.
Oh! come on youtube! We are on the same planet. What if my content uploaded is filming the blue sky in china, and someone also filming the blue sky in America? Is it mean that my content will reused content because someone also uploading same content filming with blue sky? Even if it is taken on the part of the earth? Oh come on. Why dont you just tell us what video or which part of our video has reused content? So that the original creator and non original can explain both sides just like what you did for example in copyright claims. We can show what video and which part of the video we are copyright, so that we can edit or delete it. Why you just send us that weve got reused content? you make us a fortune teller? Predicting what video has reused content.
RUclips introduced content ID more than 10 years ago, but it doesn't apply to RUclips creators, why? RUclips knows who uploaded the content originally so it should be a piece of cake to direct all add revenue to the original creator automatically, just as if I post something with original music it automatically pays the artist, why don't you do it for RUclips creators too? once I reached out about a channel stealing my content getting 12 million views in a video, I just wanted to get the ad revenue, but RUclips just deleted the video! Makes no sense when I want to get paid I am happy people reusing my content! Also, you could easily automatically credit the original creator with a link directly to the original video! even deep link to time code of original video where content is from, auto credit by overlay "Content from: Charbax" for example on every second that my content is used.
THIS! Also, I should be able to reuse // remix // reinterpret my own original content over and over without it being problematic reused content. For example, my listeners request that I combine my episodes into hours long compilations all the time
@@LTPottenger What do I have to register? Can I add my 7000 videos to be recognized and monetized in Content ID whenever any clips of mine are re-used automatically? Why doesn't RUclips just apply that functionality automatically?
As a viewer, I get frustrated when I see videos where someone has stolen the original video and put a small video of themselves reacting to it. They are just taking advantage of someone else's hard work to get views for themselves. I am glad to hear that RUclips is championing original videos. Reusing other people's videos and music is slimey. I am glad that you are taking steps to stop it. I mostly make shorts. Is there a way, where I can opt out of other people taking my videos and reusing them?
As a content creator I do mostly Live Streams. I was just demonetized & my appeal was rejected for 'reused content', yet the only examples I was given was from simulcasting with other channels when we do collaborations together. Yet this topic is not even discussed. I'm not sure how to make it more clear that I'm 'simulcasting' when I have it in the title and in the description box. If simulcasting is not allowed then perhaps You Tube should let everyone know that it's not allowed. The only other example I was given was for a 30 second promotional video I created for an upcoming Live Stream where I used a 30 second clip of Christmas music (this was over 2 years ago & one of my very first videos) that was listed by You Tube as being 'safe to use'. Since I wasn't even eligible to monetize back then and since I've never monetized my promotional videos I couldn't get an explanation or response on how I broke the rules. The other 'reason' I was given for rejecting my appeal was that I didn't visually 'show' how I filmed, edited, or wrote scripts. FYI, you are supposed to do all of this in under 5 minutes. As I explained in my appeal, my filming was simple: I have a camera on top of my computer, I turn it on and I record - or go live. That's the extent of my knowledge with 'filming'. Next was editing. Again as I explained in my appeal, I don't know how to edit. So it's difficult to show how I do something that I don't know how to do. And the final issue was how I wrote scripts. Again, I do Live Streams so anything goes. I don't know how I'm supposed to 'show' how I do something that I don't do or don't know how to do. And while this video was good in pointing out all the issues many creators have of those trying to cheat the system, it never once covered the main reason I was demonetized (simulcasting) along with several other Tarot & Oracle Card Readers, who were all demonetized for the same reason. I would love to have that explained to us and how we can continue with simulcasting our collaborative Live Streams and not get taken down for it. It would really be nice if y'all could do another video, in under 5 minutes, explaining the main points I brought up. 1) using music marked SAFE from RUclips's library; 2) show how the built in camera on your computer works (and shouldn't y'all already know how they work?); 3) cover the main issue that so many of us have been demonetized for - SIMULCASTING LIVE STREAMS; & 4) explain how a LIVE STREAM would require a script. I mean, it wouldn't be LIVE if it's scripted. So doing another video explaining these main points that we have all been dinged on would be very helpful.
Why are you not going after these channels that are mass producing content. Nobody can make four 20 minute videos in one day everyday. These channels are using sites like storyblocks, then when regular folks upload the same clip, you call it re-use. How is this fair to anyone?
Why are “Reaction Videos” so popular then. These creators basically do nothing original but play another person video and say a couple things. The original video never gets anything from this .
Yet if a singer covers a song, the song writer will be half or more of the ad revenue. Why can't the people who made the original clip get that sort of deal?
Watermark your videos then so if someone reacts to it, people who are watching it will know what the original source is from. Then it'll be free exposure for you and your videos.
Why can't RUclips put automatic link to the source video to help the original creator when more than 50% or more is used in another video that is being monetized?
The auto generated or minimally edited AI channels spamming results has gots to go. Let people block specific channels outright. Nothing worse then seeing 100 results from the same channel you want no part of.
The biggest solution needed is for you to specifically flag the videos which are considered reused content on the channel instead of demonitising the whole channel without a warning ⚠️. Some people make a living through RUclips and the 90 days ban should be fixed too depending on how big the channel is. For example, you can say channels with 1k-10k subscribes are banned for 90 days; those with 10k-20k subscribers are banned for 60 days; those with above 20k subscribers are only banned for 30 days.
This policy is not transparent. It does not tell you which video is causing the problem. I have 1.5k videos, and I don't know which ones reuse content, so I deleted 1k of my videos. This reuse content policy is much worse than copyright, because copyright tells you which video has a problem. I hope they can tell us which videos are considered reuse content, rather than just demonetizing your channel without warning.
i think its mainly just videos that arent altered or having added anything to it. like a clip of a tv show with subtitles would count as nothing of value added but someone reacting or dubbing the lines would count as added value.
I am agreeing with you because when RUclips told me about one video is reused but they didn't say which one I deleted all my original content but still massage is reused reused .....
They look at the whole channel. If your channel is mot mostly original content it gets demonitzied. If all you do is make montages you will be demonitized. Every single video needs to be at least 50% original content. I deleted a lot of my content when I got monetized because every video like that is a risk and when I started I had no intention to get monetized so just put up clips I thought were important or interesting.
For a Creator (me) who has been on the platform for more than 15 years with 100s of Videos, OF COURSE there will be some videos and content that PRE-Dates several of the new Content-policies; How YT is dealing with that? -> Instead of just placing a Flag next to your Videos (like the Copyright Field) so it's easy for me to "Clean up", YT just get a Full Demonitization the full channel, and with every appeal, they have a very vague and generic answer about content SOMEWHERE that needs to be removed, and I need to wait for 90 days for another TRY... [Suggested Solution Below] YT, and in Good Faith, 1) JUST FLAG The Problamatic Videos! 2) Give us enough notice to remove them (Pause Monetization for Few days to One week), 3) and THEN Demonatize the whole channel etc if we don't take necessarily actions... YT have evolved a lot throughout the years, and I admire how advanced they have become when dealing with Copyrights and Content-IDs etc; So It really shouldn't be hard for them to do so. Sincerly yours, SC
Nearly every time I've seen a creator be demonetized for "reused content" their doesn't fit this definition whatsoever. Its never about content that has been reused from another channel or from a copyrighted source. It's that RUclips thinks their content is low effort. I've seen this happen to channels that use AI voices to narrate their videos for example. The more appropriate definition I've seen for this label is "low effort / repetetive content". Not content that reuses existing footage or audio from other videos or songs, hut content that feels like it was easy to produce and doesn't stand out much video to video. That being said, RUclips very often mislabels channels for this as well due to their bad AI tools.
I just got hit for reused content I'm not sure why I was even flagged. I waited two weeks before I appealed then they found in my favor within an hour of my appeal wish I had done it faster, because it screwed up my payment for last month. Once they hit you for reused content they take away your ability to chat on the creator studio so you can't get any info on what's going on. I don't think it needs to be that stressful for the creators especially if they didn't do anything wrong?
@@JawTooth For Shorts, I assume this wouldn't apply, since RUclips provides the tools for us to make Shorts from our existing videos, even including the link back to the original. Reposting our own videos, no one seems to have a definitive answer. I suspect that could be another area where they make the rules up as they go, depending on which YT employee makes the decision, or maybe which channel it is.
@TheOutThereChannel they aren't movie reviews. And fair use doesn't generally apply when using the content harms someone's ability to do business - in my case, if people use my content without paying for me to perform or paying for a license to use my work (both things I offer as a professional mermaid) they are essentially using my performances without paying me. Why should anyone pay for a performance or license my video clips when all are free to steal? Fair Use has limits.
@@TheMagicCrafter I feel you... But to be honest, it depends on how much it is stolen. For example, if they just take like 30 seconds of your mermaid video from the original 10 minutes and makes a video about the mythology of mermaids from around the world, I think it falls to "fair use". They make NEW content, featuring a snippet of yours. What others are complaining is shorts, where people steal FULL version and slam their faces onto the videos and reupload them entirely.
Thank you for covering this. But this policy and how it's enforced needs to seriously listen to feedback from creators and be reworked. My feedback / changes below, having been falsely hit with reused content, it took 2 months to get my channel back in the program, the appeals process was awful and upsetting. Too many creators of original content have suffered badly from this policy, please take it seriously. 1. Creators NEED MORE INFO when hit with this, you need to tell them WHICH video has flagged reused content so we can effectively dispute and appeal it, or make changes and learn from it. Hitting a channel with hundreds of videos and saying "good luck working out what you did wrong" is comical from a platform the size of youtube. I could not get help from the appeals team, or my partner manager on what I had actually done wrong. Still don't know. 2. It is INSANE to immediately demonetize without warning for a vague and reviewer subjective policy when LITERAL copyright strikes, you get 3. You get 0 warnings for this. This is people's livelihoods... You also extended the time people have to wait to apply again to the YPP if their appeal fails (which it always does), that plus this = career ending. 3. For faceless creators and gaming channels, this policy is consistently a nightmare, there seems to be 0 issue with for low effort reaction content "as long as a face is on screen", but RUclips needs to respect that faceless and narrated content can add just as much value and usually the edit is even more extensive, that needs to be taken into account when judging channels. There needs to be protections or a process in place for faceless and gaming creators with regards to this policy. It was an experience that absolutely harmed the way I see RUclips and I often dread that i'll end up going through again at some point despite all my content being original. I would LOVE to see this policy get the proper attention and transparency it needs. The sentiment behind it is great, we love original content, but this policy continues to be harmful to creators of that original content. Thanks. I know this was long but this policy really effected me and I want to see it change for the better.
I agree! It happened to me a few years ago. Yes, this is my livelihood. I had around 8,000 videos. NOBODY would tell me what my "reused content" was, not even a general idea. It would be unfairly helping my channel, I was told! I would never steal someone else's content. To this day, I still don't know what it was or even _if_ it was. It left a very bad taste in my mouth with the way the people at RUclips treat their so-called "partners". I'm still upset over that situation.
Exactly it need deep reform. Cause youtube is wrong on its approach on reused content It should just be like copyright music. Identify the reused content and offer you to delete it for acess to ypp. AND END TO THE STORY WE MAKING MONEY AND ALL VIDEOS FOLLOW YPP GUIDELINE NOW I dont know whos the crazy delusional decision making manager who thought the guess what went wrong approach was such a good idea. But his approach is toxic, waste of time, illegal in term of work laws, and make lot of creators stop taking youtube seriously
I do 3d animation. If i use audio from a game or movie, IM NOT reuploading the original clip, ive f*cking modified it through SOURCE FILM MAKER, and Audacity. RUclips does nothing but F*ck channels like mine over, when i havent violated the ACTUAL laws in the US. Its f*Cking bs at times.
I just got demonetized for reused content without any examples. All of my content is filmed and edited by me of MYSELF. Now I have to wait 90 days to reapply? Apparently there’s nothing I can do about this which is ridiculous
@@GamerSpawn appeal did not work unfortunately.. it’s really disheartening when they think my content is reused. We’ll have to try to reapply in 90 days.
no reused content and you got demonetized? THAT is scary!! I do not use any reused content either. I make sure that I am filming, editing, and even creating elements like arrows etc from scratch so that it won't affect my videos. Your experience, is shocking and I am so sorry that this happened! I hope that YT sorts it out sooner than the 90days! Wow, hang in there
You guys gotta find a better or more official way for channels to designate their second channel as a clips channel that is connected in some way to the main channel, because as it is now second channels keep getting clips flagged as being ripped off even though they are from the creator
I understand the point of using other peoples content. But how is this fair to those who pay for clips from sites like "Storyblocks". If 1000 people use the same clip of a sunset in their video, why should creator 1001 be penalized for using it also? These people pay for this footage, Re-used or not. They pay to use them. This does not seem very fair of RUclips to do this to people.
What about newsworthy things? For example, the President's media department releases the same videos. All the news agencies put those scenes on their RUclips channel. Because it is officially released. This same scene is posted on about 10 RUclips channels. Because it's a news. Does a reused question come up in such cases?
I have a lot of people that upload my videos or add part of my video to their channels... it's not an easy process to get them to take it down.. I don't have time for it personally. I think RUclips should be more diligent on this.. I am glad they seem to be addressing this issue. Many of us work hard to put up content and when it is pirated it's frustrating.
Whats worse is when you have other creators copy and repost snippets just for the intent of mocking the original creator, spread malicious lies about them or disparage them.
4 Minutes and 27 Seconds of saying Something, while saying Nothing at all. I had a Channel rejected when I recorded XDefiant Gameplay for the Background, Edited in Articles and Pictures, and read everything myself, but was STILL rejected. I dont want to do a Face Cam since it makes Editing more annoying and a distraction, but also I clearly am making my own stuff. This is just RUclips being Greedy and being Predatory to Creators to not give them their Crumbs, which is why I use AdBlock and will always recommend it to everyone.
TUCKER CARLSON'S Videos are being reposted in several clips together with NO ALTERATION or REACTION. How is that fair? There are multiple channels doing this.
What about content creators who reupload their own old content repurposed or re-edited? Seems you are punishing creators who do that and not creators who steal and profit off of others videos Can we have access to content ID like MCNs use to do? I have an old MSN that still gets residuals from people uploading my content Is there anyway to have rights manager and be in control of your own content that is being reuploaded and stolen by others? Like choosing to monetize it or block it
It's utterly pointless that RUclips doesnt' actually tell anyone WHICH VIDEO is causing the problem, so they can work out if something has been misidentified, leaving the user to just delete loads of stuff.
Doesn't even matter. I appealed showing me editing MY OWN CONTENT (not even reused) and they still told me no, and instead critiqued the production value of the explanation video I made and didn't even once acknowledge any of the actual content of the video where I focused on showing how everything on my channel is OC. They said if they told me what they were basing their decision on it would take away from my journey of exploration and getting to know their policies. Like wtf does that even mean? They gave me the old "If you don't know what you did wrong, I'm not going to tell you" treatment, which is crazy because I had no idea my mom was making corporate policies at RUclips.
@F1ENDS they keep doing me the same way saying they used ai and a combination of human reviewers. I even showed interviewees from my videos with me & they still denied me
@TouchyReactions I agree with you. I watched some reaction videos, then switched over to the musicians official channel to watch hours of their videos. Sometimes this is the only way I discovered or rediscovered an artist.
@@TouchyReactions That’s what they call “exposure buck’s”. The choice should be for the original creator, exactly how artists can choose to allow the use of music on a specific video & not take the royalties, the same should happen for every creator. Because let’s not pretend: The amount of people coming from reaction video’s is absurdly low, while the effort, time and skill needed to create the original video is most of the time drastically higher than for someone to react to the original video. If they wanna see your reaction, why not only publish the reaction? Without the original video…
We need a middle ground. I hate large creators who react to new videos made by smaller creators. We need a rule where you can't react to other creator videos within X amount of days. (maybe 30.. by that point, the OG creator reached the max views)
I keep finding parts of my videos in those ubiquitous compilation videos that rack up millions of views. They just take my video, maybe put an inane comment on it, and stick it in with a bunch of other clips they took from other creators. I thought about adding a watermark over the top of my videos during editing but that also diminishes the experience for regular viewers.
This is an interesting topic. What about channels that rely on Click Bait titles that never ever reflect the video content? There are some high-view high-volume channels that consistently do just that. Always informative, thank you.
RUclips has been improving the punitive cost of the bounce rate and user comments that decry click-bait. I've seen that improve things quite a bit although those junk channels still exist. It's hard to see a channel being rewarded for deception.
It would be helpful if they told you which videos they are accusing of reused content. I got denied into the partner program for reused content. I had shorts of my own videos which I assume is what done it.
Your system is completely broken, because you guys continue to use bots that have no idea what they are doing. I was demonetized in January for this appealed, and it was fixed. Now in November I have been demonetized again for the same reason, but now the appeal has been denied. What a joke.
A.I. channels literally take my videos, run them through an A.I voice engine and get away with it. Once again these videos (That youtube doesn't even engage with) are tone deaf.
I frequently see Gardening TV programmes uploaded in their entirety without any kind of attempt to put a unique spin on any of the content. This breaches copyright, and also isn't fair on creators who do make their own content. But I can't see any way of reporting it. You can report someone who is breaching your own copyright, but there doesn't seem to be a route to reporting reused content that clearly breaches copyright uploaded by others. What do you suggest we do to report them?
The "Mentions" tab is completely USELESS! Please remove that or at least add an option to remove those mentions! A bunch of random people tagging you in their strange spam post with a weird image or video without being able to delete the mention from there.
That whole "@" thing RUclips did is useless, as far as I'm concerned. It causes many more problems and negative experiences than any good things it does. We have user/channel names for a reason. These are what I should be seeing before each comment!
This is so important, absolutely behind it. RUclips protects copy written content with an iron fist, it would be good to see our original content protected as well.
RUclips claims "Re-branding" is a good idea when needed. It also says it is ok to re-upload your old content to your new brand channel. Yet, we are discussing "Re-use" as if it is a bad thing?
I hope this is the case. It seems to be a computer making this decision. How will it know if you are re-using your own content or someone else's? I would like a clear answer from YT on this. Where is your source from? I am happy to delete my old channel completely if necessary, but I would like direction on that.
EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS REUSED TO BE HONEST WE ALL ARE INSPIRED BY SOMETHING OR SOMEONE AND ARTIST DO IT ALL THE TIME SO AS TO IMPROVE ON WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN INVITED OR CREATED IM JUST SAYING
I have 6,000 videos on youtube and still making very little money. I would like to know just what this guy thinks REWARDS should be. YT needs to change their bogus ESTMATED EARNINGS to actual earnings and YT has never helped me make more revenue. EVER. My channel members do that. And I just got insulted by a chat employee who said it was my fault that my video was uploading and skipping sections when it was doing by itself. I also get tired of hearing and seeing how great YT employees are in these videos when they have done nothing for me or my channel. Its patting themselves on the back time all of the time.
Way too much reused content now, especially on the shorts with tiresome AI voiceovers. Don't get me started on all the big RUclipsrs all copying each others ideas and the bias algorithm favouring it!!! At the moment it's "secret rooms".
I gotta laugh, I've been a original creator on the platform since 2007, I've had endless fights to claim back my content that others steal. Never has RUclips assisted me in these battles and as I see over and over channels who steal content are making easy income from it. I've always had the feeling that this site assists others to use other producers original content. As for reused content sadly look how many tic toc videos are uploaded as shorts. When is that going to stop? I honestly don't feel rewarded on this site anymore. It's nothing like the very dynamic partner days prior to 2014.
I Spend a lot of money to film original content and to travel film original content but i never seen any promotion from RUclips, the only i see is RUclips to promote shorts with reused content just to see the smoke of tiktok
I just made a short about that then unpublished it for fear of retaliation from YT. Small channels such as ours need to support each other by mentioning each other on our community page from time to time. YKW... I'm going to start doing this today and hopefully people will return the favor.
Currently there are some audio marketing companies who download viral fair use songs from RUclips and ID the content in their name. As a result, channels run by folk culture are being criticized and accused of false content ID claims. This is happening more in Bangladesh. RUclips is requested to consider the matter and protect these affected channels. thank you
Any rules or guidelines on re-purposing content that we already own and have uploaded? (like compilations or shorter clips from our longform vids)? I know we aren't supposed to re-upload the same video that we have already uploaded, but what is allowed and what isn't? Any guidelines on this?
We get many channels taking our b-roll we shoot then cutting together commentary off the back of our hard work. I don't ever do a take down but it would be nice to try and get some rev share much like on audio tracks from other channels if they want to use content or can't shoot their own. I think it would allow other channels to spin up content while helping those who already have a big catalog.
As a brand, I'm in the middle of doing a collaboration with several RUclips creators (for a movie) that will have permission to post it and do commentary around it (before/after) Is this going to impact us and them negativly?
Hello , How are you? My name is ATAUR.I'm a professional freelancer & digital marketing expert. Would you have some time to talk to me about growing your RUclips channel?
Yeah I got demonetised for "reused content" on my music channel that I made 100 % myself a few years go. Channel still no where near close to recovering.
Far to many algorithms are running the show at Google, my main channel was demonetized for reused content, which was immediately appealed and re-monetized but that shouldn't of happened, I lost revenue while my channel was down.
*I appreciate Facebook's right manager tool. RUclips needs to improve its system. I've been suffering due to a reuse penalty for 10 months, resulting in no income and a bundle of expenses*
It would be beneficial if RUclips implemented the following feature: when we use clips from someone else's content, we could mention it in the video and notify the original creator. If they approve, the video should not face a copyright strike. Additionally, if they neither approve nor deny within a few days, the content should not be considered reused.
I run a YT channel that was denied for the YPP. Reason: “Reused content”. In fact, I create all the content on this channel myself, not a single video contains "reused content". I offered to prove this with licenses. Support's response: "We're not interested in that kind of thing. Make a video showing us how you create your content." So I make this video. Support's reaction: "You made a video showing that you don't use "reused content" but instead create all the content yourself. Unfortunately, the video doesn't show how you changed your own content so significantly that it no longer looks like your own content." This answer is pretty ridiculous. I contacted Google Support to clarify this. Unfortunately, support has not responded yet.
Yt makes money from ads running on our content. It's not in they're best interest to give us our fair share? I'm hearing of so many denials over debatable reasons
He is not talking about your reaction/transformative videos issues He is talking about legit youtube who didnt download any video from other creator. Who somehow wrongly get reused content 😂 You dont understand yet cause that issue didnt happen to you yet lol 😆
I know you guys have to use friendly corporate speak but "Reused Content" really needs to be considered stolen. It's ripped from someone else 99% of the time and most of them don't even know. RUclips has a great copyright tool made like 10 years ago that finds this stuff and it needs to be re-worked for Shorts.
RUclips and Google are yank companies, so say no more on the honesty front
I don't think RUclips is completely transparent and fair across the board. There are tons of channels out here that rack up solely off reuses content
That's why they are taking action and made this video.
I get demonetized for uploading archived videos but Sniperwolf, who uploads repeated content, is allowed to stay?! WHAT?!

I'm getting really tired of seeing stolen content on faceless AI channels, often misrepresenting the content they stole.
Bravo Lisa. This is NOT YOU. ❤
@@ActionShortsPodcasts Stolen content is stolen content.
Live tarot readings, live mediumship, live discussion, and live comic improvisation all qualify as original content.

Exactly I just claimed against a channel that used my content and they favored them instead of me. It's insane.
you can use any video under fair use.. like pause and talk over it.. for commentary criticism.. creators dont understand fair use.. see h3h3 productions law suit they wont against creator who said they stole their content
I strongly believe that there is something else going on behind this campaign with 'reused content' because:
It's a fact...
because they transform the video completely
The main thing RUclips needs to do is show us the creators where in the video is used content or give us a chance to correct the video. Not wake up to find our page is un-monetized and now we have to appeal which often fails just to wait 90 days to be back accepted!
Yeah, I legit deleted over 200 videos over the last few months and they still think that my content is reused or stolen by other creators
I agree.
only took 20 years to figure out this was good for creators. we should get ALL the money made from our stolen content. This is a multi hundred million dollar business people have stealing content and monetizing it.
Are you supposed to be protected by UnderCurrent Entertainment against copyright thieve ?
It's utterly pointless that you don't actually tell anyone WHICH VIDEO is causing the problem, so they can work out if something has been misidentified, leaving the user to just delete loads of stuff.
And get humans to help us, Team RUclips is staffed by bots.
And stop saying "off of". You mean "from".
I AGREE WITH YOU!!! RUclips TO POINT OUT THE VIDEO THAT GOES AGAINST THE POLICY!!!!!!!
@@Mek_wi_talk Thankyou! 😃
Creator with reused content should share the reward with the original creator or they should have less ad or less revenue from the ads.
Unfortunately, the money is in being a regurgitator. It is far more efficient than being creative and crafting quality.
I was demonetized over making highlights of my own streams. GREAT job.
reused content may mean that youtube just dont want to pay creators ad revenue
This youtube system simply doesn't work. I advise any small time or middle Creator to NOT put your hope, love, sweaters, blood, and dreams, hard work into believing youtube is a fair way to go.
My account got demonetized because nobody told me that I can't repost my video as a YT Short. This is just a guess because RUclips WONT TELL ME WHAT I'M DOING WRONG
Imagine😢
I just said this
Most of them are not monetized or got monetized by making original content initially but switched to reuse content after getting monetized.
Lifetime ban for violating the reuse policy. Period.
only few get wealth from others clips.. like thirdphaseofmoon and secureteam10 I make a loss myself and I use clips.. depends if you debunk or promote the fraud/fantasy

You guys need to work on fair use and fight to get the DMCA system changed. Its antiquated and abused.
The fact that one of the vaguest guidelines is being used to demonetize entire channels while stating "We are protecting creators and advertisers", while continuing to show ads anyways, is disingenuous at best, theft at worst.
but thats the issue with fair use in america law so YT is limited too..
Also their practice of guess whats wrong and not precising what videos are problematics are illegal with work related laws
In any job, if youre doing something wrong they will point out the exact thing you do wrong.
It takes me months, in one case it took me 2 years, to bring my ORIGINAL projects to RUclips only to have other channels steal my work and claim "fair use."
There is one channel with over 880,000 subscribers that didn't contact me or ask to collaborate with me they just straight up stole a year’s worth of hard work from me.
"Reused content"?!? I think most of the world calls that copyright infringement.

What about "reaction videos"? Its amazing how many people are reusing content of whole videos to make "reaction videos" which are rather an excuse to take advantage of the content someone else created.
Oh! come on youtube!

You got a point. Are they even reading this😢?
@@Ohsoadorableee I’m starting to feel like RUclips doesn’t care about their community anymore
EXACTLY
THIS! Also, I should be able to reuse // remix // reinterpret my own original content over and over without it being problematic reused content. For example, my listeners request that I combine my episodes into hours long compilations all the time
@@wakemeupmornings Yes!
It does apply you have to register it
@@LTPottenger What do I have to register?
All the top videos on YT are zero effort reaction clips and copy pasted videos. This "reused content" policy is a joke.
Why are you not going after these channels that are mass producing content. Nobody can make four 20 minute videos in one day everyday. These channels are using sites like storyblocks, then when regular folks upload the same clip, you call it re-use. How is this fair to anyone?
Whoever use a reused content should share their revenue with the original content creator
not if it's transformative.
@@gregsvlogshow but thats not what the issue is
Why are “Reaction Videos” so popular then. These creators basically do nothing original but play another person video and say a couple things. The original video never gets anything from this .
yup
Yet if a singer covers a song, the song writer will be half or more of the ad revenue. Why can't the people who made the original clip get that sort of deal?
We react to songs and make no money from it. The original video/band does get all of the money unless they turn on sharing, which is a rarity.
Watermark your videos then so if someone reacts to it, people who are watching it will know what the original source is from. Then it'll be free exposure for you and your videos.
@@bluerabbit1236 it’s still free exposure. They know who the original source is. A person. Could always file a copyright claim.
[Suggested Solution Below]
YT, and in Good Faith,
1) JUST FLAG The Problamatic Videos!
2) Give us enough notice to remove them (Pause Monetization for Few days to One week),
3) and THEN Demonatize the whole channel etc if we don't take necessarily actions...
YT have evolved a lot throughout the years, and I admire how advanced they have become when dealing with Copyrights and Content-IDs etc; So It really shouldn't be hard for them to do so.
Sincerly yours,
SC
Absolutely
Not true ! All of my channel's contents are mine and RUclips kept spamming me with reused content issue .. no transparency nor credibility
Yeah, RUclips has a _really_ convoluted way of doing things. Happened to me a few years ago, I still feel cheated.
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR Does that mean we can't repost our own videos? I also wonder how it affects shorts.
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR I have wondered about that for a long time because I see ppl do that a lot.
Also, you're not mentioning that reusing someone else's work can violate copyright!
I have people stealing my content all of the time for their own gain. Getting anything done about it usually boils down to me threatening court.
fair use though.. else you wouldnt have movie reviews
Excellent!
Cause youtube is wrong on its approach on reused content
It should just be like copyright music. Identify the reused content and offer you to delete it for acess to ypp. AND END TO THE STORY WE MAKING MONEY AND ALL VIDEOS FOLLOW YPP GUIDELINE NOW
I dont know whos the crazy delusional decision making manager who thought the guess what went wrong approach was such a good idea.
Reused Content is copyright infringement and violates international laws.

This is just RUclips being Greedy and being Predatory to Creators to not give them their Crumbs, which is why I use AdBlock and will always recommend it to everyone.
whats adblock?
TUCKER CARLSON'S Videos are being reposted in several clips together with NO ALTERATION or REACTION. How is that fair? There are multiple channels doing this.
Look at how many "fake" Joe Rogan channels are doing the same thing.
What about content creators who reupload their own old content repurposed or re-edited? Seems you are punishing creators who do that and not creators who steal and profit off of others videos
Can we have access to content ID like MCNs use to do? I have an old MSN that still gets residuals from people uploading my content
Is there anyway to have rights manager and be in control of your own content that is being reuploaded and stolen by others? Like choosing to monetize it or block it
It's utterly pointless that RUclips doesnt' actually tell anyone WHICH VIDEO is causing the problem, so they can work out if something has been misidentified, leaving the user to just delete loads of stuff.
"profit from", not "profit off of". The latter doesn't even make sense.
The only issue I have is that if I get denied and I appeal it, and get told I need to show proof of me editing a 15yr old video
AGREED
@@F1ENDS 100%. I felt the same way. Zero explanation, just commented on appeal video content (which looked canned).

How about you treat the reaction video’s as you treat copyrighted music. Pay the ad revenue to the original creator…
I like that idea
@@TouchyReactions you’re not understanding this post.
A reaction is not reinterpreting it…
It would be helpful if they told you which videos they are accusing of reused content.
Also how about explaining how to appeal?
This is hilarious they're having this discussion given how much they've promoted SSSniperwolf.
I don't think what they saying is entirely true! Look at the react content all over RUclips! Bruh!?!
I miss those days on RUclips!
For a platform that hosts and distributes video, RUclips's production quality is nearly potato quality.
as for the 100's of my videos that have been re uploaded by other channels and monetised ?! why is this allowed?
wait really? yikes.
How do you find out if these other channels are monetised?
They follow the principle of fair use
We get many channels taking our b-roll we shoot then cutting together commentary off the back of our hard work. I don't ever do a take down but it would be nice to try and get some rev share much like on audio tracks from other channels if they want to use content or can't shoot their own. I think it would allow other channels to spin up content while helping those who already have a big catalog.
As a brand, I'm in the middle of doing a collaboration with several RUclips creators (for a movie) that will have permission to post it and do commentary around it (before/after)
Is this going to impact us and them negativly?
Hello ,
How are you?
My name is ATAUR.I'm a professional freelancer & digital marketing expert.
Would you have some time to talk to me about growing your RUclips channel?
Yeah I got demonetised for "reused content" on my music channel that I made 100 % myself a few years go. Channel still no where near close to recovering.
Far to many algorithms are running the show at Google, my main channel was demonetized for reused content, which was immediately appealed and re-monetized but that shouldn't of happened, I lost revenue while my channel was down.
Same here
When will youtube stop the channels buying subs and views?
@SamRecap they can take the channels down that are doing it.🤷🏻♂️ that would work
Where does copyright infringement enter into this?
*I appreciate Facebook's right manager tool. RUclips needs to improve its system. I've been suffering due to a reuse penalty for 10 months, resulting in no income and a bundle of expenses*
I think RUclips/Creator Insider didn't read any comment on comments section
It would be beneficial if RUclips implemented the following feature: when we use clips from someone else's content, we could mention it in the video and notify the original creator. If they approve, the video should not face a copyright strike. Additionally, if they neither approve nor deny within a few days, the content should not be considered reused.
BRAVO: I hate it when another creator uses my created content OUT OF CONTEXT and EXPLOITS me. This really make me mad.
He is not talking about your reaction/transformative videos issues
He is talking about legit youtube who didnt download any video from other creator. Who somehow wrongly get reused content 😂
You dont understand yet cause that issue didnt happen to you yet lol 😆
I know you guys have to use friendly corporate speak but "Reused Content" really needs to be considered stolen. It's ripped from someone else 99% of the time and most of them don't even know. RUclips has a great copyright tool made like 10 years ago that finds this stuff and it needs to be re-worked for Shorts.
