Che8t yeah and they work temporarily, and the only way to lose weight permanently is fasting. If you want more information on the topic, you can read the obesity code.
@@jcoe0 i normally fast from 8 pm to 12 am and eat from 12 am to 8 pm which is a 16 hour fast. But you can fast for 8 hours too. you also dont have to fast every day because according to studies you can chose to not fast 2 days out of the week and it makes no difference, so consider those cheat days.
People needs to understand that is not about diet!!! but about changing lifestyle forever slowly but steady that is only way how to loose weight longterm
But why should diets be a lifestyle to maintain the weight? Shouldn’t you be able to maintain the weight loss even if you stop the “diet” by just eating the same amount of calories your body needs?
Have this diet book for free, hope it helps you as much as it did me :) www.amazon.com.au/Secrets-Sirtfood-Diet-Easy-Make-ebook/dp/B08HDGRGLT/ref=sr_1_261?crid=IINPAB2W12X5&dchild=1&keywords=sirtfood+diet&qid=1599644309&s=digital-text&sprefix=sirtfood+%2Cdigital-text%2C449&sr=1-261
The first definition of a diet is our habitual food intake pattern. LIke Martin says, you change your lifestyle by finding a healthy pattern that doesn't involve overeating. Exercise is great, but people tend to eat more afterwards.

Hey Guys!! I have come across a website that offer a fast weight loss program at an affordable price. I lost 4 pounds in a week and I was very pleased. I definitely recommend. Product link : ruclips.net/video/ASYIcAoWFKs/видео.html
Except they work, I lost over 100 pounds on a high fat moderate protein diet, the daily heartburn I was experiencing went away within a week and my poops arrived in a timely manner. But right ridiculous, we should just keep pushing low fat foods full of carbs because that has been working so far /s
Nimble, you clearly didn't watch the video ASAPscience mentioned the yo-yo effect, and it seems like your extreme weight loss diet is exactly that. You'll love it now, but 6 years down the track your metabolism will flat line.
Kalin - Believe what you want to believe, I would just say do the research and come up with your own decision on the matter. I am not trying to convert people but I think a blanket statement about them being ridiculous is in itself ridiculous. I did my research, chose my diet and have never felt better. The labs I had done at my last physical say that my overall health has indeed improved, and there is a lot of other research on the subject that says the same. There are also studies that say they don't work but I would look at who sponsored the research before drawing any conclusions from those.
NimbleDick: I agree with you. I read "how we get fat" and watched "carb-loaded" and so I tried it out myself. I lost weight fast, felt more energized, and felt less depressed (which has been a problem for me all my life) and I've been doing it for a year straight ever since!
Not really, the video wasn't scripted well. It's true that every diet has negative health effects, but it does matter how many and how severe.(staying fat is probably the worst) Personally I think the best one is the paleo, but ideally you balance some of these to fit your needs. You need to do it step by step and set goals for yourself. If you stop losing weight you have to take more radical measures or if you have money ask for a nutritionist's opinion. For me the hardest part of the diet was not to give up desserts or alcohol and stuff like that, it's to actually buy the healthy food as they cost a lot more than the unhealthy ones.
Well there's another Topic he didn't talk about. I know, the word alone lets some people become aggressive, but: the low fat vegan diet. Read into it, if you're interested. There are a lot of positive possible health effects if done right (which is absurdly easy to learn). I myself did never struggle with too much weight, but my mental Focus became better and my Skin cleared up, since i started 3 years ago. A place to start for anyone interested: www.drmcdougall.com/
The main point in this video was that all diets have their merits but every 'strict' diet is flawed. You don't need a 'diet' to lose weight. If you're eating a lot and you know it, cut back and replace it with healthier options. If you're not exercising you're unlikely to get any results from any diet. If your diet has a dramatic and fast impact, it's likely to follow with a massive crash in your natural metabolism meaning you get super fat when you're older. The underlying point is that there is a more obvious solution than people make it out to be. No strict diet is needed, but taking their strengths and merits can aid you in making choices when it comes to how you eat. If you're looking to lose weight and are already on a diet, your best bet for a consistent weight loss that won't tank your metabolism is to eat normal stuff in lowerer quantities with all the stuff we know to eat. Throw in some vegies, some protein, some grains. If you ate red meat last night, you can gap out your next dish for a day or two. If you haven't eaten grains today, maybe through some extra grains in your cereal bowl in the morning in place of milk. There are no strict diets that work flawlessly. Fast results come with a trade off; your metabolism. Which is why he signed off saying find a balance, and once you start losing weight slowly stick with it and stay healthy. Exercise will obviously compound the effects of a healthy diet, and muscle gain will help chew up your food and keep you thinner.
Not true. The 2 vegans I know are overweight. If you overeat on any diet you gain weight, and if you eat fewer calories than you burn on any diet you lose weight.
suzyr82 well technically that depends on what they consider vegan and vegetarian bc I know some may eat fruits and veggies but eat hot cheetoes stuff like that
“Just stop eating” Aka anorexia and bulimia. Edit: I would like to make a few things clear, since many replies aren't understanding my meaning. 1. This comment was not meant to be a joke. I take mental health and eating disorders very seriously, and would never joke about them. They are serious issues, especially today, and should not be joked about, as it can make people who have had to deal with these issues feel that their problem doesn't matter to anyone else. 2. I know what bulimia is. Bulimia is an eating disorder in which you binge food and then force yourself to throw it up, making many of the calories consumed void, like you haven't eaten much at all. The point wasn't necessarily that you didn't put food in your mouth, but that many of the calories consumed were in one way or another disposed of before the body could use them as fuel. 3. There was a comment that brought up intermittent fasting. This is different to an eating disorder because you still get the calories that you need in a day, and so while you can still loose weight from it, it's a healthy and safe alternative to developing an eating disorder. Please do note that with certain other medical issues, like diabetes, intermittent fasting may not work, and could even have serious detriments to your health. Also note that I am not a doctor, but have learned this from personal experience. I hope this edit clears a few things up, for those whining in the replies of this comment.
Martim Cunha Rocha I know what bulimia is. Yes, you do eat, but you make yourself throw up afterwards, basically negating the fact that you ate anything at all.
I almost fell into bulimia because whenever I ate too much I threw it all up. I eventually saw what was going on and eventually stopped before it became bigger.
Whole plant food is the best. Fruits and vegetables are low calorie foods, nutrient dense and have a high water content and you can eat more, fill full and you will still be losing weight even though you're not calorie restricting. Also your energy levels will go up! Good luck with your weight loss! ! ^-^
thefatodst Ohh...Thank you,now I get it but I wish I could go back to my previous state and retrieve my innocence lol. I don't have a dirty mind so I usually forget the fact that some people do and I make a fool of myself-just like I did now.
***** In this event of me creating a long winded explanation, I have came to review your comment a seventh time to find that I read it incorrectly. With that out of the way, you are correct to point out thermodynamics in response to such other comments.
Yeah. If you want some advice, sugar is the primary cause of obesity and heart disease. Almost all “low fat” foods actually make you fatter because they have sugar in them. Feed yourself, maybe not as many sweets as normal, exercise, and you’ll be fine.
different diets work for different people, people who don't do exercise are likely going to have the most success with the keto diet (mostly fats) or intermittent fasting (not eating any foods at all). While someone who does a lot of aerobic exercises (like running) likely will benefit from lots of carbs and someone who does a lot of anaerobic (weight lifting) will likely benefit from paleo or high protein diets. There is a constant debate usually between high carb v ketosis diets, but there shouldn't be a debate, to begin with. We need to focus on giving people diets that work for different needs rather than decide on one diet that everyone sticks to.
So, I don't exercise, (big surprise) and did the keto diet. It really didn't work for me. But the thing is, I was very strict about it. Maybe it's just me though.
@@Firehazerd5444 Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what that is? I looked it up and it said I have to know how many calories you eat each day. So I really couldn't tell you. Each day is so drastically different for me, so, sorry.
@@skip_aj My bad. Like what what mix of fat, protein, sugar, carbs(and in turn calories)? For a standard keto diet you would have about 70% fat, 25%, and5% sugar and carbs of your daily intake. That percentage ratio definitely changes based on your height and weight. I downloaded an app to record these thing. I only kept at it for like a week or two. But it helped to get me a good idea of how much and what kind of food to eat. Why I ask is because when I started this diet I acctually gained weight. This was because I had the large amounts fat I had in combination with a decent amount of carbs didn't help. Having too much carbs with larger amount of fat can cause your body to release more insulin and in turn causes inlfation/weight gain. Also I snacked too much witch is something that you got to do less on the diet. Not assuming that this is why the diet didn't work with you. I'm just curious. After all this diet isnt perfect and different people will probably take the diet differently.
1. Eat green veggies (try mostly uncooked) 2. Intermittent Fasting helps. Which means atleast 16 hours of gap between dinner and breakfast. 3. Skip rice, pasta, wheat, corn and all high glycemic index foods. Am not saying to skip all carbs, just skip the carbs that can spike the insulin. 4. Eat healthy fats like omega-3 (avocado, many varieties of nuts, salmon) 5. Ofcourse, eat meat but not much as we usually do not require as much proteins per day. 6. Garlic, lemon, ginger, cloves, turmeric. 7. Atleast 30 minutes of walk a day and 5-10 minutes of intense workout for every 2 or 3 days. 8. Oh did I forget to say sleep atleast 8 hours a day? :) Please suggest me if I missed something :)
The carbs you should eat should be healthy, non processed carbs, such as brown rice as whole wheat bread. These are much healthier than things like pasta and white rice.
Many people intermittent fast by not eating breakfast or lunch and just eating more during around 4-10 Breakfast isn't super important. Plus the reason I think intermittent fasting is so good sometimes is your cravings go away a little so you can control your diet better because you get to eat a good bit a of food in a short time but not overeat
Catella all carbs turn to sugar once consumed . There are no good carbs , just bad ones and less bad ones . You need protein , those are your essential amino acids , and you need fat , those are your essential fatty acids . There is no such thing as an essential carb .
Wade lol I said the same thing in my physics class when I was in highschool and none of those bumpkin motherfuckers got the joke and they all just looked at me lol.

I've lost 9Kg in 3 months. Just by doing cheerleading (GREAT workout) 2-3 a week and eating homecooked meals. You do NOT need an extreme diet/workout schedule to lose weight. You just need to change your lifestyle a bit :)
I lost around 5Kg in about two months with gradual changes to my lifestyle. For example,I now have dinner at 8pm,instead of 10pm, I started eating more vegetables, and increased workout time by 10 seconds every few days.
moderation is the best. enough with the brainwashed vegan crud.humans are omnivores and humans need certain things from meat.get over it and accept it as a fact of like.
vegan diets do crash and do come with many risks do to the dietary extreme.like liver damage and neurological iusses. just because people do something doesn't mean it's good for them.
I became a vegetarian about 3 years ago, didn't change anything about my diet besides cutting out meat and I dropped 20 pounds. I recently went vegan and dropped even more weight and get to eat as much as I want 😊
If you want protein based diet. You should try dukan diet. I lost 44 kg (97 lbs) in 6 months. But don't forget to drink 1.5 liters of water everyday *very very important.*
I’m grateful l found slimbodyresurge.fitness.blog it helped me not only lose weight but keep it off. I lost my Weight very short time , it really works, hope it helps some others kM6
going vegan was the best thing I did for my body, first I gained 4 pounds cause I stopped restricting myself and I ate as much vegan food as I wanted and then my weight was slowly dropping and after I went full raw for 2 weeks I lost 8 pounds and now a year later I lost total of 20 pounds without even trying that much, I still have 10 more pounds to lose to get to my dream weight but I dont stress over it anymore and I know Ill get there eventually and as long as Im vegan the weight will not return.
I used to eat something heavy in the mornings. Then I started drinking smoothies. It saves like 10 mins and it just feels great. Even if you have not slept well, drinking a smoothie and getting a kick of energy is just easy and delicious. But damn eating something after bad night is haaaard especiallt eating meat, eggs or something like that
***** This. I've been skipping breakfast for like 4 years, not because I heard of "intermittent fasting" but just because I don't have any appetite in the morning after a nice big dinner the night before. Most people get really triggered when they hear it, because not eating breakfast is basically oppression.
I love how you include info on eating disorders at all, and how you addressed the fact that your weight doesn't impact your health. You two do such a good job about things like that without shoving down people's throats.
Last year I was 200 pounds and decided to do the Atkins diet the summer before 9th grade it ended up getting me to 160 in 3 months and throughout the school year I went vegan and limited my calories and I’m at 138 now(:
Amazing! The vegan diet really works magic, plus animal products cause 14 of the 15 leading causes of death (not #7, accidents). Basically, you won't die of heart disease in your 60s and you will live on average to your 90s (assuming you don't smoke)
The best part of this video was how he expressed you have to find the diet and lifestyle choice that works for you. I've gone vegan in the past, gained a lot of weight and ended up in severe pain because of it. 'Every body' can't handle certain diets. There is no best for all, just best for you.
Triggered Cortisol is a steroid hormone produced by stress. Livestock are under constant stress, from the cruelty they face on a daily basis. Their meat is in turn filled with the stress hormone, that is then passed into your body.
Triggered The "cruelty-free" part is heaps effective. It makes you feel good that your choice of diet is causing a minimalistic impact on animals and the environment. It really helps maintain a positive mood and a positive lifestyle! Veganism is a lot more than a diet, however. Carcasses are bland too, you just find them 'tasty' because of all the processing and chemicals. Some vegan food could be labelled 'bland', but it's all about how you prepare it, what herbs and spices you include, how you complement and combine the variety of tastes, and so on. There's tons of different dishes to be had - pizzas, pastas, wraps, salads, burgers, curries, many aspects of Indian and Asian cuisines. Keep an open mind about vegan food; don't be afraid to try something new, you may really end up liking it! :)
GUYS IF YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO WAS OVER 80 KG LIKE ME HERE IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO START DOING: I used to be 85kg, that was 6 months ago. And currently i an 75kg. I lost 10 kg/22lbs. Here is what i did. Yes i did stop eating sweets, but i never stopped eating carbs. Carbs are important!! If you took health class in highschool, you will know why. But all you have to do is take out atleast half of what you would usually eat. For example, i used to eat 2 sandwhiches for lunch. I starter eating only 1 sanwhich and it helped. SMALL CHANGES CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCES. When it came to parties and there were sweets or chips. Just grab some chips, not too many. And for sweets, i just tried eating half of what they gave me or just try avoiding them. If you're someone who is REALLY low on self-esteem on your weight, just eat less. No need to stop eating, trust me. I did that and it was THE BIGGEST MISTAKE i have ever done. If you stop eating, your body will learn to keep more food and let out less.
CreativeArt I think that this really only applies to high fat foods and if you are over eating. If you eat less and are still full of energy and satisfied, then I think this works.
Good that it works for you but I think even eating half the amount won't work in the long run for lots of people because you leave the meal still hungry and later will probably overeat in some meals to compensate or eat much ofter to compensate. If you change what you eat and how much you exercise it will probably help more. And personally I think nobody should have to go hungry most of the time
zakosist I learned the same thing. It's not about leaving it hungry. It's stopping when you're full. The only time to stop when still hungry is to let your stomach shrink to a normal size if you're legitimately overweight. It's probably the healthiest way to begin working toward good diets.
too bad its factually incorrect. and impossible without causing mass extinctions to clear more land for the demand. we could definitely cut our animal consumption by a whole a lot though.
tried every diet already that is known and sticked with agoge diet, just have ur mind set that u wanna start and do it! agoge diet helped me a lot with my journey of weight loss
Not really, being poor makes you decide what to buy at the supermarket basing your decision exclusively on price, that means buyng cheaper options for everything, aka choosing a lot if food full of fat and/or added sugars that makes food taste good even if the ingredients are low quality. It also means you buy a lot of bread/rice/pasta because it’s cheaper than meat/fish/fresh veggies. So you find your fridge full of high fat, high sugar, complex carbohydrates food snd have a lack of high quality protein, fibers and vitamin sources
But haven't you noticed that the cheap foods are the unhealthy foods? I can get enough ramen for about 2 weeks for around $2..... If I want to buy healthy foods, I would spend at LEAST $50 (for just myself) and be out of food in about a week.
honestly this helped me so much. ive been struggling with my eating habits for so long now, and ive come to realize that stopping food consumption never works, and it’s just all about what makes you happy.

We need proteins. Getting proteins from plants only is very difficult, and they don't provide all essential amino acids (in most situations). Eating reasonable portions of meat, eggs or diary products every other day is really beneficial to our health.
Drum Paris The things you mentioned provide a very narrow spectrum of nutritional elements. This is exactly why I said "Eating reasonable portions of meat, eggs or diary products every other day is really beneficial to our health.". It's always better to make your diet as varied as possible.
Why did Asap leave out the diet that is proven to promote weight loss (while also preventing, treating, and reversing our most common chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer)? It's called a whole foods plant based diet.
***** So if a diet works for 95% of people, for example, should it not be mentioned? Whose health does not benefit from a whole foods vegan diet; that's what I would like to see evidence of.
***** If you could not tell by "for example," 95% was an estimation based on the science that I have seen but is not a direct citation. Whole foods vegan diets decrease LDL cholesterol, decrease blood pressure, decrease insulin resistance, etc. in practically all adherent patients: do you disagree with that? If not, then why shouldn't ASAP mention this very effective way of eating?
A great documentary to see is "Fork over Knives" The studies have been done and there is enough evidence to support the plant base diet. It is for most people but only a few will make the change.
Unfortunately the apple's skin has a lot of agrotoxins, the best option will be the skin of an organic apple Those shining apples that we see can make really bad to us (Sorry if i wrote something wrong lol I'm Brazilian)

The biggest piece of advise i could give someone looking to lose weight is: Diet isn't something that you go on, it is a lifestyle change. It does not happen in a few weeks like fad diets promote. it will take a long time and alot of hard work, but in the end it is all worth it and you will love yourself for making the change in your life you need
OfTheRapture I was vegetarian for a year before I went vegan. I feel so much better without dairy and eggs and the transition was a lot easier than I thought it would be since there are replacements for everything!
cece safont none of them, really. It talked about yo-yoing, which is saying unless you make a permanent life style change, once you get off the diet you’ll just gain all the weight back
My computer research has shown that nothing beats this diet program. Google *2WeightLossFast. Com* ! You could drop weight like I did that has been 15 lbs already.?
Patrick Hughes Follow the advice the FDA, ADA, and AMA give you. Literally just flip the contents of the food pyramid upside down and you have the optimal diet.
Saturated fat is not that evil or even a good reason for vilifying low carb dieting. The "doctors" that you cite as being concerned about sat fat are just stuck in the past. More recent studies say that a moderate intake of saturated fat will not cause heart disease. Eating low carb high fat helped me to lose 25 pounds this year alone.

Americanprepper13 a so called "starvation mode" or "metabolic damage" is mostly supported by claims some health gurus make, that didn't actually read the study behind it. It's a myth, there never was any evidence of such. The only people that do believe there's evidence have misunderstood the study back then.
Raz0rking not all calories are equal. Sugar is digested much more quickly than complex carbs and protein. As a result, 2000 calories from sugar make you fat while 2000 calories from oatmeal will not.
Even if you're vegan, eating too much is still unhealthy. 3000 calories is 3000 calories, no matter if it's from broccoli or sweets. With this caloric intake you WILL gain weight.
Fat vegan here. You can't eat whatever you want and expect to be thin. When I was eating very simple (oatmeal and beans) twice a day and exercising everyday (4+ miles of walking) I could eat however much I wanted and be thin. But my metabolism isn't that great so maybe some could do what you are suggesting and get great results.

In my experience, the best way to lose weight is to cut out pizza (my main source of calories) and continue my gym routine. The muscle built from the gym improves my metabolic rate and cutting out the pizza forces me to find new sources of calories which are usually healthier. When I was 18 years old, I completely unconsciously cut out pop from my diet, and within a year went from 220lbs down to ~170-180, all without noticing until I stepped onto a scale. It was a big shock to me.. Since then I started going to the gym and my weight is now between 155-160lbs. If I could just cut pizza out completely, I would lose all my belly fat and my newly built muscles would start showing. 23 year old male, 6 feet tall
There is a diet where you cut out carbs and refined sugars so that your body is forced to use fat as it's primary source of energy, and it was pretty effective for my dad. He's lost around 30lbs in the span of three months.

I went on a no carb diet a while ago and I was losing 1-2 pounds a day! Within a week I could lose 10-12 pounds! I stayed on the diet for a bout a month and was noticing changes, all I usually ate was fruits vegetables chicken beef and other stuff,I then accidentally forgot I was dieting and ate a sandwich then I got hooked to carbs, gained all my weight back plus 10 or so...😭😭, but I'm gonna do it again and try to stick to it, this video helps me to know what foods and what diets to go on, and I also learned that physical activity is important

Better get used to it. The vegan movement is growing, and we're only going to get more vocal. This is because the case for veganism is backed by an enormous wealth of scientifically backed reasoning. And because the animal agriculture industry is so horrific and unethical that it's shocking. If people knew what vegans knew, the world would be willingly vegan tomorrow. We cannot change the ignorance without informing people. Be contrary all you like though, eating burgers to your own detriment.
One of the most universal factors to most successful weight loss diets is eating foods with a high nutrient density. It's the cornerstone to what makes a diet work. What are nutrient dense foods? Foods that have a high nutritional content per calorie are nutritionally dense. Most nutrient dense foods include: vegetables, lean meat, fish and poultry, eggs, avocado and fresh vegetable juice
Dear vegans, Farmers pay the meat industry for manure to fertilize crops. No matter what you eat (unless you grow ALL of your food yourself) you are always going to contribute to the meat industry. To minimize cruelty be sure to buy ALL of your food locally. Local farmers don't usually have huge slaughterhouses and aren't as cruel. Eating meat is okay as long as it's local. -girl who lives in a farming community
MCRXISISTS meat is still a dead body if you think about it and milk is still from mom who needs to feed her baby calf, the point of a vegan diet is to avoid causing harm to other living things on this earth and to be healthiest you can and it's a fact that eating plant based is the healthiest diet to do, try and say you eat to many fruits and vegetables and once that is an issue then preach what you preach but there's really no argument here
I beg to disagree. I personally think that meat is cruel no matter where it came from. But, YES OMG I'VE BEEN TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT SHIT TO RADICAL VEGANS FOR AGES! I just do what i personally can to make a difference which i am proud of
MCRXISISTS you know you can grow crops without using animals in the fertilizer, right? Do some more research on that. And buying from local free range and organic animal farms has been shown to actually be even more environmentally destructive than factory farms. Watch "cowspiracy".
Alright RUclips I watched it. Might as well say: I doubled my calories, now eating 3000-6000 day to day, and no exercise. I've lost over 100 pounds in about a year. Not sure how important calories really are anymore, especially since calorie restriction is linked to permanent slow-downs of your metabolism. All I did was limit carbs to 20 a day, though not counting fiber or carbs from green vegetables. Never been healthier. :)
Lockstin & Gnoggin Just how?????? 6000 calories!?!!!!!????? With no exercise, I literally don’t care how healthy you eat, if you eat that much you’re going to gain weight unless your like the Hulk or something. I know that I used to think I ate like 3000 calories since I was very active and seemed to eat a lot but I was only really eating like 900-1500. So i’m just saying you probably aren’t counting.
I think the best diet is just a balanced diet. Balance complex carbs, fat and protein, and eat a varied diet with only sparse added sugar and processed food. It's not just good for healthy weight but general health
you're victim of the "everything in moderation" fallacy - no, see the lecture by dr. michael greger "uprooting the leading causes of death", it should be pretty obvious that the healthiest diet is a whole plant based diet, preferably without ANY animal products whatsoever.

For me personally, I've tried keto diet with IF and while it worked well to lose 4 kg in 2 weeks, I gained all the weight back quickly and I hated feeling often fatigued. I still do IF but I eat moderate amount of carbs and I have managed to keep my weight more stable. Maybe I needed more time woth keto but I prefer a balanced diet with IF.

Heeey guys! I love your videos! There's a lot of stigma around diet soda, and that it's not actually better for you than full sugar, because of the other health issues it causes. Do you think you'd ever do a video on this? Like covering the myths or what's actually true? It's a subject me and my friends argue about a lot, so would be really interesting haha.
I would like to point out two things... 1) I designed sort of my version of a low-carb diet (my mother is a nutrionist) and lost 60lbs in 4 months. I merely cut out simple carbs, (I drank 23grams of sugar every time I worked out in the form of a canned iced tea), except the odd raw ear of corn as a snack, and put NO restrictions on higher carb root veggies like carrots. I was a little more conservative about beans but I ate chili every now and then in a decent portion size (1 to 1 1/2c), and in addition, I started walking. I started walking at a 1/2 mile a day and worked my way up to 5 miles a day, and some days I would go and swim or do treadmill at the local rec center for a change of pace. I wouldn't really count my daily carbs, and I ate tons more veggies than just huge amounts of red meats. I'm not a big fan of pork anyway, so I wan't binging on bacon or ribs or anything. Also, every now and then I'd just CRAVE pizza or bread or pasta to the point it would be something that would drive me absolutely nuts... So, I'd go eat it. (We're talking once a month or so, I'd eat two slices of pizza, or a cup of pasta). Worked wonders and I found it really sustainable for me, until I came to Canada where I couldn't find a lot of the sugar-free foods I'd come to rely on. (Sugar free chocolate cake mix+ Can of pumpkin = AMAZING CUPCAKES, by the way, for any kind of diet except gluten free, 200 calories and very low in carbs, relatively speaking) 2)The new weight watchers plan has veggies and fruits as 0 points, to encourage people to eat more of them, and an activity tracker and goals each week, to get people to also exercise, to get people moving. The points system is now based on calories, saturated fat, sugar, and protein content. It's not merely calorie restriction. That's what I do now and I've had success with it. I've lost 17 of the 30lbs I gained back after the move, in a month. (I have one of those metabolisms though, I lose weight pretty easily), and I still tend to choose not to eat simple carbs for my points, and go with more lean proteins, avoid cow's milk, (but I still love cheese, even a lower fat cheese is fine by me), and love a morning omelette. I still avoid white sugar.

DON'T DIET, eating healthy and exercising will result in a nice looking body. Diet only will result in a skeleton body! PLEASE LIKE SO I CAN MAYBE HELP PEOPLE
You do know that when you change your diet drastically without taking the shift correctly right? The dizziness, nausea, and head ache is usually caused by your body being unsure of how to cope. The Atkins diet (which I assume to be another name for the keto diet) is a perfect example of that. The keto flu, as most call it, is pretty natural actually and only if the symptoms continue longer than a couple weeks is it actually an issue. That's why people think the diet isn't working, because they try it for like 2 weeks and have a couple issues and then they just quit because they think it "isn't working".
I stopped eating junk food, sweets, bread (pasta too) & exercised 1h a day. I lost 3kg in 5 days. (No, I didn't throw up anything nor did I starve myself. I still ate meat, vegetables,...)
Daniel Zimmerman ...veganism is more expensive. Also, you need to take vitamins like B12 to stay energized and healthy. I'm surprised that they didn't discuss veganism in this video.
+krysmamamia The cheapest foods per pound are things like grains and legumes. A vegan diet only becomes expensive if you include niche market products like mock meats and mock cheeses. Anyway, animal meat would be very expensive if it wasn't subsidized by the government. B12 actually comes from bacteria commonly found in soil and untreated water, so it is inherently vegan. Most livestock animals are actually supplemented B12 themselves as they are not able to graze and get B12 naturally (from soil.)
Ck_house As long as it's respectful, I don't consider counterarguments to be rude. Farm animals are essentially removed from the food chain, so yeah, it's unlikely that they would be hunted. Livestock animals are proactively protected from predators. The USDA has killed millions of wild animals all for the sake of keeping livestock animals "safe." As for less animals existing; I'd view that as a good thing (especially if you consider the environment.) Quality of life is worth more than quantity of life. Breeding billions of animals into slavery is not a positive act. No-body commends puppy mills because of all the puppies they bring into the world, right?
at the end of the day, the only thing that actually makes you loose the weight is calorie deficit. You can have any diet you want but it only works if you're eating

Here's a great diet plan that you could use to lose a lot of weight fast: HootFat.com
Yeah nobody is going make a diet a lifestyle. Maybe vegetarian diet but otherwise...
Have this diet book for free, hope it helps you as much as it did me :)

Product link : ruclips.net/video/ASYIcAoWFKs/видео.html
no carb diets are ridiculously stupid.
Except they work, I lost over 100 pounds on a high fat moderate protein diet, the daily heartburn I was experiencing went away within a week and my poops arrived in a timely manner. But right ridiculous, we should just keep pushing low fat foods full of carbs because that has been working so far /s
Except weight loss doesn't mean health. And if that is your goal they are definetly sub-optimal.
Nimble, you clearly didn't watch the video
ASAPscience mentioned the yo-yo effect, and it seems like your extreme weight loss diet is exactly that.
So technically everything we do is wrong
Not really, the video wasn't scripted well. It's true that every diet has negative health effects, but it does matter how many and how severe.(staying fat is probably the worst) Personally I think the best one is the paleo, but ideally you balance some of these to fit your needs. You need to do it step by step and set goals for yourself. If you stop losing weight you have to take more radical measures or if you have money ask for a nutritionist's opinion.
For me the hardest part of the diet was not to give up desserts or alcohol and stuff like that, it's to actually buy the healthy food as they cost a lot more than the unhealthy ones.
lmao bro!! basically! that time im out here in the process of weight loss and to think i could gain what i lost back defeats me
Well there's another Topic he didn't talk about.
LCHF is the best
Drop whatever you are doing and go read the book Womans’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, its absolutely life changing, trust me on this
Vegan and vegetarianism are two of the only diets I know that are really effective! :)
Not true. The 2 vegans I know are overweight. If you overeat on any diet you gain weight, and if you eat fewer calories than you burn on any diet you lose weight.
Ellis The Wombat try the PSMF diet
Ellis The Wombat wrong. a vegan can live on oreos and coke. vegetarians can live on ice cream and eggs. A whole food plants based diet is the best.
There's such thing as vegan junk food which is unhealthy, vegan does not mean "healthy" it means no animal products.
suzyr82 well technically that depends on what they consider vegan and vegetarian bc I know some may eat fruits and veggies but eat hot cheetoes stuff like that

“Just stop eating”
Aka anorexia and bulimia.
Edit:
I would like to make a few things clear, since many replies aren't understanding my meaning.
Unless this is just a joke, you should find out what bulimia actually is...
Yes. But İt's Working.
But only Water Fast.
Whole plant food is the best. Fruits and vegetables are low calorie foods, nutrient dense and have a high water content and you can eat more, fill full and you will still be losing weight even though you're not calorie restricting. Also your energy levels will go up! Good luck with your weight loss! ! ^-^

***** In this event of me creating a long winded explanation, I have came to review your comment a seventh time to find that I read it incorrectly. With that out of the way, you are correct to point out thermodynamics in response to such other comments.
After watching this I feel like I should just eat what i want (not pure garbage like candy or soda though) and then just exercise regularly.
You need a balanced diet, and exercise more, because the calorie outtake should be greater than the calorie intake.
Jasmin S. That’s only if you’re trying to lose weight....
Glowstick you got it
That’s the best way. I typically do that
Well said
So, I don't exercise, (big surprise) and did the keto diet. It really didn't work for me. But the thing is, I was very strict about it. Maybe it's just me though.
@@skip_aj I know I'm late, but can I ask you about your macros?
1. Eat green veggies (try mostly uncooked)
2. Intermittent Fasting helps. Which means atleast 16 hours of gap between dinner and breakfast.
3. Skip rice, pasta, wheat, corn and all high glycemic index foods. Am not saying to skip all carbs, just skip the carbs that can spike the insulin.
4. Eat healthy fats like omega-3 (avocado, many varieties of nuts, salmon)
5. Ofcourse, eat meat but not much as we usually do not require as much proteins per day.
6. Garlic,lemon, ginger, cloves, turmeric.
7. Atleast 30 minutes of walk a day and 5-10 minutes of intense workout for every 2 or 3 days.
8. Oh did I forget to say sleep atleast 8 hours a day? :)
Please suggest me if I missed something :)
The carbs you should eat should be healthy, non processed carbs, such as brown rice as whole wheat bread. These are much healthier than things like pasta and white rice.
Many people intermittent fast by not eating breakfast or lunch and just eating more during around 4-10
Breakfast isn't super important.
Plus the reason I think intermittent fasting is so good sometimes is your cravings go away a little so you can control your diet better because you get to eat a good bit a of food in a short time but not overeat
Drink lots of water or tea :)
Catella all carbs turn to sugar once consumed . There are no good carbs , just bad ones and less bad ones . You need protein , those are your essential amino acids , and you need fat , those are your essential fatty acids . There is no such thing as an essential carb .
Don't get health advice off the internet. Imagine getting a kid to fast, you'd loose custody so quick
Best way to loose weight is going to the moon.
Wade yes as weight = mass x gravitational field strength
Why the moon? On your way there, you weigh less than you do on the moon...
on the way there you'll experience gravitational overloads (or whatever), so basically you will weight 5 - 9 times more on average

Vegan diet for sure! Super tasty, cruelty-free and the possibilities are seriously endless.
pinkbunnypanda What does "cruelty-free" have to do with how effective a diet is?
Vegan food us bland.
pinkbunnypanda Vegans are just better people
Triggered Cortisol is a steroid hormone produced by stress. Livestock are under constant stress, from the cruelty they face on a daily basis. Their meat is in turn filled with the stress hormone, that is then passed into your body.
Tell me more.
I love my six pack so much I protect it with a layer of fat
GUYS IF YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO WAS OVER 80 KG LIKE ME HERE IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO START DOING:
I used to be 85kg, that was 6 months ago.
Let me know if this helped :)
CreativeArt I think that this really only applies to high fat foods and if you are over eating.
If you eat less and are still full of energy and satisfied, then I think this works.
CreativeArt I didn't read this read a few words sounded interesting so liked haha xox
High carb low fat vegan diet, without calorie restriction is the best! You feel amazing, it's super tasty and healthy

Well, our opinion differs as I read a lot of different stuff on that topic and I strongly believe it would help the world if everybody went vegan.
too bad its factually incorrect. and impossible without causing mass extinctions to clear more land for the demand. we could definitely cut our animal consumption by a whole a lot though.

The best thing to lose weight is be poor
Bologna sandwiches are mighty unhealthy brother.
Bruno G.Macías that’s one of the best ways to gain weight too actually lol
@@KoriThompson1 in USA maybe, in Africa maybe not:(
But haven't you noticed that the cheap foods are the unhealthy foods? I can get enough ramen for about 2 weeks for around $2.....
If I want to buy healthy foods, I would spend at LEAST $50 (for just myself) and be out of food in about a week.
honestly this helped me so much. ive been struggling with my eating habits for so long now, and ive come to realize that stopping food consumption never works, and it’s just all about what makes you happy.

vegan lifestyle actually works*
We need proteins. Getting proteins from plants only is very difficult, and they don't provide all essential amino acids (in most situations). Eating reasonable portions of meat, eggs or diary products every other day is really beneficial to our health.
Floris R it's not true. you have all the essential amino acids in rice pasta vegetables etc.
+Drum Paris Not B12.
Drum Paris The things you mentioned provide a very narrow spectrum of nutritional elements. This is exactly why I said "Eating reasonable portions of meat, eggs or diary products every other day is really beneficial to our health.".
It's always better to make your diet as varied as possible.
Everything has B12 these days. You can just buy cereal that contains it. Also nutricional yeast has B12. Its not that complicated
Why did Asap leave out the diet that is proven to promote weight loss (while also preventing, treating, and reversing our most common chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer)? It's called a whole foods plant based diet.
TheAltruismActivist His brand of Science does not support this knowledge.
***** Way to appeal to statistical outliers.
A great documentary to see is "Fork over Knives" The studies have been done and there is enough evidence to support the plant base diet. It is for most people but only a few will make the change.
I didn't know 🍎 apples skin has most nutrients.

yeah! Been a happy healthy vegan for a year now:)
Being a vegan isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle.

My computer research has shown that nothing beats this diet program. Google *2WeightLossFast. Com* ! You could drop weight like I did that has been 15 lbs already.?
Eat in deficit, eat low calorie dense food, move more, eat more fibres to keep you full for longer, drink enough water pretty much it

Raz0rking
Raz0rking not all calories are equal. Sugar is digested much more quickly than complex carbs and protein. As a result, 2000 calories from sugar make you fat while 2000 calories from oatmeal will not.
why not just go vegan and eat whatever and however much u want
well I mean you can't just eat "whatever" you want, if you're vegan tho
Even if you're vegan, eating too much is still unhealthy. 3000 calories is 3000 calories, no matter if it's from broccoli or sweets. With this caloric intake you WILL gain weight.
Fat vegan here. You can't eat whatever you want and expect to be thin. When I was eating very simple (oatmeal and beans) twice a day and exercising everyday (4+ miles of walking) I could eat however much I wanted and be thin. But my metabolism isn't that great so maybe some could do what you are suggesting and get great results.

Tip to fast food at dine ins
I think you guys really need to do more research on this topic.

Be contrary all you like though, eating burgers to your own detriment.
easiest way I lost weight was getting rid of the microwave only eating at home and consuming lots of water I lost a hundred pounds with this method
Dear vegans,
Farmers pay the meat industry for manure to fertilize crops.
-girl who lives in a farming community
there is no 'non cruel' way to kill an animal, going vegan minimises your cruelty not 'buying locally' (maybe not entirely but we are doing our best)
Eating meat is NEVER "okay". Killing an animal and eating it is not okay. wtf is wrong with you people?
This goes against newton's law of thermodynamics so I’m calling bullshit buddy
Plumsome please tell me you aren’t serious
Plumsome everyone is different, that’s enough to for them.
So your body has found a way to work around the laws of physics?
I think the best diet is just a balanced diet. Balance complex carbs, fat and protein, and eat a varied diet with only sparse added sugar and processed food. It's not just good for healthy weight but general health
you're victim of the "everything in moderation" fallacy - no, see the lecture by dr. michael greger "uprooting the leading causes of death", it should be pretty obvious that the healthiest diet is a whole plant based diet, preferably without ANY animal products whatsoever.

Three main fallacies with the paleo diet:
1. We've evolved a lot from a paleo ancestors, for example we can now drink milk.
2. We don't live a paleo lifestyle to compliment the diet.
3. We don't actually know what they ate.

What about vegan and vegetarian
Being Vegan isn't a diet though, it's a lifestyle. But they really should have added the plant-based diet,or at least vegetarianism.

Daniel Zimmerman lol they are still getting killed your just not eating them
Daniel Zimmerman ...veganism is more expensive. Also, you need to take vitamins like B12 to stay energized and healthy. I'm surprised that they didn't discuss veganism in this video.
+BRING RUST BACK I don't mean to be rude, but please look up supply and demand
The USDA has killed millions of wild animals all for the sake of keeping livestock animals "safe."
As for less animals existing; I'd view that as a good thing (especially if you consider the environment.) Quality of life is worth more than quantity of life. Breeding billions of animals into slavery is not a positive act. No-body commends puppy mills because of all the puppies they bring into the world, right?
at the end of the day, the only thing that actually makes you loose the weight is calorie deficit. You can have any diet you want but it only works if you're eating
