My boyfriend watches it in French, and when Joel says "I'm losing it", in French they translated it as "I'm breaking at the seams" sort of, and Ellie laughed and said "Kinda normal with your old bones" or something like that. It's the first time I thought a translation was funnier than the real thing haha

It’s hit or miss with the French version I find. I tried to give it a try and switched back to English because it just didn’t sound scary or bad ass at all. Made me laugh mostly

@@andre-felixsanfacon8618 I think shows or movies are better in their original language. Sounds more authentic and in tune with what’s happening on screen imo

Yes, Marlene was a woman in the first episode who knew Ellie and sent her off with Joel and Tess!
I don't think Sarah's mother is dead. I think she just left Joel and Sarah.
BTW the actor Pedro Pascal is 47 actually his character is 56.
Fun fact: Kathleen's right-hand man is the original voice actor for Tommy in the game.

and Marlene plays herself in the first..... other important people will be Troy Baker who plays Joel in the games and another actress whom I wont mention until we get to the last episode and then another from the last episode but she plays a major role in TLOU Part II so you won't know who that is until you play that game. Just some wonderful easter eggs for us who have played the game.

I think what she liked that first time with Joel punching that FEDRA dude was that someone was protecting her. Look at how fast she bonded with Marlene, and it was because Marlene took a parental role. Ellie is starving for a parent.

13:42 No. The game doesn't tell us either, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't tell us here either, but this series has done more than the game every episode, so there's a chance, but don't get your hopes up. Joel has locked his emotions up--he's not trying to get close to anyone. He doesn't want to deal with grieving for a loved one again.

They shot this in Canada. I can't remember where. Alberta, I think? It's still mid-September in their timeline so it's not getting too cold at night yet, even in the east. I'm from WV so I know how Indian Summers can be around that area.

The funny thing with all of the area looking the same, is that the last of us was filmed throughout Alberta. So the US looks similar to Alberta as well.
