I have the qsx 6.5 sounds good also. Dd audio also have the 6.5 inch. When people see the box they laugh.. but when they hear the bass they are blown away😂😂
I’m impressed with the bass smoothness!
It never gets old when a friend of yours gets into your ride then you turn the bass up on your system the smile is priceless p.s it's harder to run with 2 12 inch sub lol
Thanks guys I’ve been waiting for something like this 8’ for my 2017 Tahoe behind my 3rd row seats.
Perfect size.🔊
I can switch it out with my Alpine S10’ Halo when I’m on road trips with the family.
Even the 6 1/2
See you on the next one. Bye👋🏼
The Fosgate P300 with built in amp is awesome too , 5 Star has videos about them also
I like how they set up the input terminals.
I've had the 6.5 inch everyone was impressed with it
I know of a guy that is running thirty 6.5" Skar Audio subs. He hit a 151.7 without being completely broken in yet. I was incredibly impressed by it.
😯
Vid?
@@bradysimpson look up "30 skar evl 6.5 subwoofers (crazy bass). It doesn't show his run, but you can see it.
Back in about 1981 at car show at the Sacramento fairgrounds a guy had a 1970 Mustang fastback with 20 (yes, I counted them...when the radio was off!) 8" subs mounted wherever he could find a place to put them. You could hear, and feel, the bass from anywhere at the Fairgrounds.
@@genecase9464 wow, you sure that was 1981? That's really early times for big car audio. I had 4 15's in a b pillar wall in my 69 fastback back in 1988
Thats tha best subwoofer to who wants a clear bass, whitout busing much space on the trunk in car! I'm begining in sound car universe, i'm from Brasil, i love sound quality, I use dat audio two ways kit, focal coaxial access model, an audiophonic subwoofer, both to quality, using amplifiers soudigital (bass) and taramps (mid range and tweeters). Great job the yours!
very nice little guys :)) , can't wait to finish my project with 2xgzpw 18's
If you’re not big into bass but want low end extension, a 500 to 700 watt RMS 6.5 inch ported sub is a great option.
You can't go wrong with Groundzero subwoofers! They are one of the best high quality subwoofer brands in the world!
wish I knew about those amps when I built my 6.5 ds18 box, I have a punch 150 running both the subs they hit hard but I know I'm starving them for power but those little amps you show I feel they would do the job
I wish Daniel G&R research would go ahead and show us his audiophile or basically his car audio system cuz that would be pretty stellar but I think the only cars that he actually does is a Corvette and I think he has a daily driver for something else but give me kind of funny to see him actually go over some of these car audio components and see what he thinks about them.
I have a Toyota Tacoma Access cab and had no option but to put a powered “sub”under the drivers seat. I chose a Kicker Hideaway and I would call the bass amazing for the size. It will barely make a sound at 25Hz and not a peep below. But over 25Hz it’s good. It actually gives you that kick in your butt on a bass drum. I don’t listen to music with that flatulent boom bass so this thing is well matched at even moderate volumes. I’m sure this 6.5 in a custom enclosure would be all anyone would ever need in truck cab like mine.
It reminds me of the 6 inch Elemental Designs SQ bass in a small package! I ran one Elemental Designs 6 in in my ROUSH F150 till I move to a JL Audio for more boom!
Just subscribed. I am enjoying your channel.
There website doesn't show a price on anything
Thanks guys
Can you fit those behind the seat on a Ford F-150?
Picked the perfect day to drive the bass truck to work. It made that vid a lot more fun.
i have the 6.5 inch, its good, loud bass. but i closed the vent ( as a sealed box ) bass sounds less loud but more accurate
but overall very good performance for a small woofer, if you need to preserve space in the trunk
its expensive though
I can’t find a price for these WITH the enclosure
Hey Dean are these available in the USA ? I can never find um here
Dean... The whole copyright music thing. Couldn't you use the 2020 IASCA disc to demo stuff without having copyright issues? Tracks 29, 30, and 31 on the evaluation CD. They are BRUTAL!
@Wayne Tompkins Can you re-write that so it makes sense?
Where's your guy's chem suits that's the radio active series. Lol😜☢️ great video thanks for sharing have a great weekend guys
I have a infiniti qx60 and it has a space where the stock sub went and I took it out and could fit 2 6in subs and still have all of my trunk space. They literally shake the roof where the shark fin antena is 😂
I have the 2 ct meso 6.5 in a custom box. Trust me the 6.5 out powers the skar 8 zvx inch and evl
band-pass 6 old school rockford 6.5 back it was loud as f... a Wayne Wright build box!!!
I had the 8" sub enclosure and it didn't even last 24 hours. I only put about 600 wrms to it and the next morning I was playing it and it blew. Idk if it was because of the song or because of the voltage or because it wasn't broken in yet but since then, I was out $400.

@@ekimandersom4478exactly!!!
I would totally put both jumpers in center for 4 ohm in case I ever want to switch to 1 ohm or if I want to resell it later. This way I don't lose it, or the customer for that matter.
I have 2 sundown x8v3. And man i was super impressed. Big big bass. Louder than 12s . deeper better sounding.
Cool box!
I like before I see the show ☺️
How do you buy that subwoofer? No option to buy on their website.
Have y’all been able to do a comparison with DD Audio’s loaded boxes?
Yes, I’d like to see that
DD some good stuff think JL but for spl! They build a lot of stuff at DD!
I had two DD 6,5 Redline 500rmsw. Those two little puppies bump really nice
DD makes great subs and even better loaded enclosures. I have 3 DD 6.5 loaded boxes underneath the trunk floor in my SUV. I kept all my trunk space and I'm running 400W RMS to each one and they sound amazing! I was running two sealed DD SL612s before, but the sound quality of these 6.5s is hard to describe, you just have to hear them. I have a Kicker 6.5 loaded box with passive radiator, but it can't compare to the DDs. Same with the Kicker 12 with the radiator, the sound quality just isn't there.
Good morning everyone
I know this is old as hell, but did he ever get a second one?
Where can I buy this 6.5” here in the states?, the link you provided send you overseas.
OK guys great video how much are we talking here, anyone
8" Correction: airspace is "0.74" and not "0.074.". So after hearing your review for the 6" I should keep my two 6" JL MicroSubs?
Points taken off from GZ for shipping the box in its retail packaging
What's wrong with shipping things in their retail packaging?
Missing package. Lol
How much does the setup weight? I have a performance car with 550hp and right now I have 2 12” sundown SA 12’s in a loaded prefab box but it weighs 170lbs. It’s kinking my performance so I’m going to sell it and get the loudest 8”. It’s in a hatch too so it’s just way to loud.
can't have everything.
What about the Kickers Comprt 6.75", I wonder how they would compare to this 6"?
Kicker 6.75” shouldn’t be apples to apples...it’s also only $200 in a box, and takes 1/4 of the power of this one. One is ported, one is a sealed cab with a passive radiator. After price is known, ask yourself it you need the extra that this one gives you. I would say the power handling itself would be worth it. This looks built like someone doing a good DIY job would do.
@@whitmorestrains In US dollars it's around $251.
@@allanb3222 the kicker 6.75 box is only $170 from Crutchfield.
@@whitmorestrains I was stating the price of the ground zero enclosure.
The comprts sound better ported go build a box
Thanks
Thank you for posting these products. I am sold on the six inch subwoofer. I have been researching subwoofer package deals. I was looking at the specs of the six inch sub and see it's rated as a 2 ohm unit. Why are you running it off 4 ohms? Wouldn't a 2 ohm amp produce more bass or just make it louder? Just thinking about what amp to power this sub box with. Any recomendations?
I need a subwoofer solution for a classic pick-up truck, that's just been restored. There's not a lot of interior space in the cab. Even the seats don't articulate. They are fixed. Can be removed, and reinstalled fairly easily. But, spaces for speakers are all very shallow. Any suggestions? Please?
I think normally I would like a sealed enclosure, since the woofer is smaller would it make up lack of a tighter sound or accuracy?
Is this a nice compromise between sealed and ported?
Yes
Can you review the new SKAR audio 8inch loaded bass tube?
How does this compare to the Vega spare tire sub?
Wonder how they would sound in a Nissan 350z convertible
One 6.5 sub? So my 4 6.5subs is overkill?
They sound amazing.now the big question.how much?
Dealer only, details hard to find on pricing.
I saw the 6.5 listed somewhere for $379.
i am super late but is this 8inc sub ok for sq? i was thinking on adding it to my sql setup
Hello! How does the 8" version (with the right power to it) compare to the Rockford P300-10?
Wonder if this would fit under the back seat of an xcab Silverado
does your demo car have the big 3 done to it or a high output alternator
.074 CF? @2:21 (time),I hope you meant 0.74 CF.😉
Agreed. I came here to mention the same thing. .074 cubic feet is about the size of an ice cube.
With smaller subs you get a cleaner bass response. I've always loved the and of 10's and 4 10s in a purpose built box will stand it's ground.
Don't be scared to mix those in the trunk together. I've mixed subs to great success. My favorite was 2 10s and 1 15 in a Dodge Intrepid. Everyone always would think the 15 would over power the 10s.... But the 15 pick up what the 10 can't with a lower frequency response.
I've always tried to achieve the most supreme sound using less and smaller.
Namaste
What would a 8xspl do if I put it into a kia Niro's Factory trunk enclosure? Ofc with a decent amp.
Now the qestion will this fit my mini?
I got a 2013 Harley Davidson ultra limited I would like to put speakers in the faring and speakers in the rear seat pad with an amp what do you recommend
Yes 2 6s
You guys should check out the db drive 6.5" and 8" subs in there loaded boxes, they sound amazing as well.
Is there a place to buy these in the US?
No unfortunately, you have to buy from ebay UK like some people have said in the comments
Can you tune sound by altering shape of enclosure?
can't find these for sale anyway
Will that speaker box fit in a Chevy s10 pick up truck 92 model
Can i use 500w rms amp in 8" sub?
yes
Hey fellas I got a Hertz Audio SPL SHOW hp3001 3k sub amplifier what's your opinion on this product line from Hertz? Thanks for any input
How much power were you running to each of the woofers?
How does is it stack up against the Sundown SA V3 8"s and Xv3 8"s???
What is the box tuned to ?
If you wired it down to 1ohm, you would have gotten more out of that 8 inch sub
Does it drop?
yoo at 5:10 I see a gasket cover.. was that included?
Yes
Thats all fine and dandy... but... im not showing anyone in the US having them for sale 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Question what's wrong with the amp when is blinking
Clipping or protect
I have the Skar EVL 6.5’s right now...do you think these are better?
I looked online and they don’t seem to be readily available for purchase at the moment. Do you know if they will be sold in the states soon?
How do you like the Skar EVL 6.5's? I'm thinking about getting that or the DD 6.5"
I have 2 Skar EVL 6.5's that come in there own custom enclosure, it's in my single cab pickup. If your looking for loud, you'll have to look elsewhere. It's a nice clean bass, and a good complement to add bass to your factory system.
i buy two of that
Hmm, didn't see any boxes listed on their site. Too new?
The link is in the description. But no pricing
They are listed in the UK. About 251 us dollars.
Pretty sure they don't sell much in USA
Is the bass really insane?
Downgraded from a DD LE-M12D it's a much more easier sub to drive but the GZ GZRB 20SPL it's a beast for its size easy said.
Why would they not discuss price points. ????
They are not sold in the states at the moment. You have order it from the UK. They have different pricing over there
.074? Did you mean .74?
Morning
Jl or ground zero
Where can I buy one?
Ebay is where I got mine. Just know they ship from the UK.
At 2:07 that’s not .074 cubic feet
That’s 0.74 cubic feet.
🔥🔥🔥💪💯
فيديو مفيد عجبني 🤗
These are not the Sub Woofers you were looking for! (Ground zero). In you best OB1 voice.... lol
Dat too small give me some 15"🔥🔥🔥
These positioned correctly will suprise you
I purchased this 8” box from Soundjamz in Pearland TX. Jose lied and said it was good. Blew it less than 1 week on a 400watt amp that was only gained up about 20%. Trash and so is the dealer.
Some people just don’t knw how to use them
I must be too old, I have never heard of this brand but it reminds me of something Pyle or Jensen would make & you stayed away from those brands back in day.
Guess things have changed now
Ground zero is not a USA made brand and are FAAAAR SUPERIOR to Pyle 😂😂😂
Ground Zero is King Kong in the trunk
German brand, comparable with Focal, Helix etc.
Top class stuff
Of course it's impressive compared to the Kickers and RF's you guys are usually featuring. GZ is a legit car audio company.
5:16 1 impressed 1 not.
That's cute lol
I can clearly tell this is sponsored live your videos but there are better for the money hands down.
The box no good
