YSL is a monster fragrance house but they have let themselves down discontinuing Rive Gauche. This fragrance even with its lack of performance is magical, first class review as always.
Timeless masterpiece. I have a vintage 2009 formula and recently got a newer batch as well. Even the newer batches are still good in my case. Love this scent. One of the most complimented fragrances ever. Great review !
YSL is such an underrated house on RUclips. Tuxedo, Cuir and 6 are amongst some of my favourites. Not to mention Opium pour homme and L’homme Ultime are also incredible.
This is the last fragrance I purchased 4 months ago. You described it perfectly as usual, I can listen to you talk all day. Very comforting voice and demeanor. Bless you. It's such a cozy and sexy scent. It's beautiful! Boosts my confidence and mood every time I wear it.
Love the YSL house mainly their men's eye wear but my go from this house is L'home l'intense...spicy bright zingy warm fragrance I would recommend sampling that one as well AC
Great review as always! Classic frag... Reminds me of a particular time in my life but never bought it. Speaking of promises... We're still waiting on episode 2 of classic frags that are masterpieces. Also great work on finding some absolute gems of quotes... Seneca would be proud!

You describe this so well AC, did not like this fragrance on my skin, love Opium EDT & Kouros from YSL, need to try the EDP version though, many thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
Ive had a bottle for almost 7 years now. I always loved it. It always just smells like an apple pie to me and family members. In a good way of course. Not as sweet apple pie as some of the boss bottled frags or paco rabanne one million range or even some of the by killian frags. But it has alittle more spice and alittle bit of tobacco that balances it more then them. But I will say the few by Killian frags in the whiskey style bottle are just a way better version than this. Obviously triple the price though.
I love the opening however i seem to get a really strong powdery middle and dry down with this. Almost minty smelling too. Does anyone else get that with this fragrance? Also, my bottle has some small little floaties in it, not sure if that is normal for this juice or not, so any input would be appreciated if anyone elses bottle has that. I only bought it earlier this year too, so its not very old.

Absolutely accurate description. Probably my all time favourite fragrance. I wish I had one of the first batches, before the reformulation
