I just bought a bottle Chad having watched your inclusion of this in a recent inspiring video- i’m an old school kinda guy and only buy old school frags and can’t wait to wear it, thanks ( and hey, if ol blue eyes wore something like this as his signature, I’m in! - Encre Noir by Lalique would be an interesting bottle to review if you haven’t already.
I hope you enjoy it because I am not one that generally encourage blind buying. Its not an expensive purchase but still always a gamble. I have a sample of Encre Noir. I'll more than likely do that one as well. Thanks for watching, Paul.
It’s a great find and a great scent! Chad Secrets was supposed to join us but he had a very late night with work and he was running on 3 hours a sleep a night for the past few days. I told him to just stay home and rest.
Ive had LPR for several years. It's one of my least worn fragrances. Too powdery. Not a fan of the iris. Also it doesn't smell like Creed BDP to me. That one smells better. Wearing it now because of your video.
Quite heavy on the cedar and vanilla on my skin, but the florals and aromatics in the opening are just so nice. Sometimes even a bit astringent in the heat. Back in the day, I remember vacillating for a long ass time over getting this one because of the grandma scares on Fragrantica. 😆 I guess some people just get that from anything with iris. Have to credit Max and Dan for finally getting me over the edge. Kinda wish they had put a metal cap on it but I'm not fussed. It's a lovely woody lavender vanilla.
This one I've smelled. Gotta agree with the overwhelming herbal tones. It came off to me like a cheaper version of Dior Eau Sauvage. I'm over 35 and it was just too old for me.

I have this,sported in the summer time /over spray it because i was nose blind/nose blind for Bentley intense(got rid of that) i wasn't feeling it- definitely cold weather scent (lalique)
I am 28 and love this! As y'all said, it reminds me of my grandfather, but I love my grandfather so! It’s very classy and an amazing deal. Thanks for the video!
I’m glad you like it! I miss my grandfather as well. He was a part of WW2 and my dad said he was tough as nails. That generation was just built differently.

A new trio, I like it! This was a Marshall's cheap treasure find for me a few years back. Very good, classic feel 👍

It's quite versatile. I can definitely see how you would feel about the cedar and vanilla on the skin. I was quite shocked by this one.
