I was in Moscow last month and before my trip to Russia I watched Dan, Eddie and Joe's videos. I followed all their advice. I went to the Russian Consulate and got my three years turist visa, got a hotel near Vnukovo Internacional airport, got my Troika card and used the Moscow metro system. And I had the most amazing time of my life in Moscow.
As a real, true American, I was out and about in Russia as a diplomatic tourist. This one time I was stopped and question by the Russian police because of a some misunderstanding. I was polite, compliant, and presented all the documents the police requested. Russian police they said a few things, and I was on my happy way. In other words...nobody cares if you're in American in Russian. In their eyes you're just another tourist. Act and behave accordingly.
so basically this guy is like: "Yup, I break some stupid local rules and regulations because I don't really give a flying F, but I am a proud and entitled USA citizen, so how dare they!!!..."
I used to be subscribed to his channel. Not any more. I watched all his videos of Russia. Even before the arrest he was so disingenuous making snide and patronising remarks about Russia and Russians at every corner. The fact that he went to visit remote regions, sensitive regions close to the Chinese border without a passport was just plain stupid, but I have a feeling he knew EXACTLY what he was doing and wanted to get arrested so that his video would blow up on social media. He was acting suss and the locals noticed it too thats probably why they reported him.
I worked in Irkutsk and in Moscow for the better part of 3 years. I traveled all over Russia. I followed the law and I never had any problems. I would go back, so much more to see.
As an American who has visited Russia, I can say it's a safe and amazing country to visit, even for Americans. Clowns like him spread fear and lies just for attention. Great channel! Keep it up man 👍
Me too, I'm glad he was found out. He also made a video visiting my country, Ireland, using the same slimey, supercillious smirk on his face like some kind of Hollywood ar****le that we are supposed to admire because he thinks America is God's gift and we are nothing. Well he can shove it now, we know who is the best and most heroic force in the world now: Russia! Beir Búa Z, from Ireland.
He's been doing that throughout his videos. Instigating jabs, provoking, baiting, mellow, innocent, plausible denial. But being instigating and provoking dramaqueen contentmaking asshole is not a crime. He just gives us travelers a bad name and tries to throw shade on a country.
@이주영-h5j9n Silly children- you're missing the point. I was growing up in the 70s and even then everyone knew that Birobidzhan was a failed experiment. And we knew that it was called " the Jewish Oblast' " but it doesn't mean that there are only Jews there or even that they're the majority. He grew up on Brighton! I would like him to produce the actual person who told him otherwise.
The officer who made initial contact summed it up over the radio. “I’ve never seen anything like this.” This guy was being goofy along a border area as a westerner when Russia is battling the whole of the west basically proxy in Ukraine.
No common sense. Byproduct of the West’s massive safety net to save eyediots from themselves. Reminds me of that white kid who got himself locked away in NKorea
I went to his comments. Scary how easily people put trust on his words. In fact, i am surprised how easily he got away from breaking government security laws. Which is very serious. It proves that Russia is not a Gulag place how they try to picture it. Thank you Dan for showing the simple and logical truth and that people around the world can think logically.
The guy actually doxxed himself, his court documents are available online due to the transparency of Russian judicial system. He actually wasn't imprisoned for being near border, but for actively refusing to talk with police and show his documents when they tried to interrogate him (that was when he returned to his hotel after being detained the first time, I think). Also he was fined for calling SVO "an invasion", but it's not a jailable offense. The funny thing is that 15 days he was sentenced with is just a normal administrative arrest. Russian authorities could detain him for up to 15 days just because he failed to produce any valid documents, according to Russian law it's a normal procedure "to determine the identity" as they call it. But they went extra mile and made sure there was a court indictment, to make sure everything is fine from legal point of view, probably because he is a foreigner.
@@MaxBerry-j6d I don't think I can post links here. Well, I tried and my message was filtered. Either by youtube or by this channel's owner. I saw one of his videos years ago and haven't come across his channel since. And then suddenly, a few days ago, RUclips began to persistently recommend video about his arrest in Russia. I wonder why... I watched his other Russian vlogs and it is clear to me that he was initially against Russia. Even the titles smack of anti-Russian propaganda. And the way he responded to you, Daniel, was not just rude, but disgusting. Such an attitude, especially towards a stranger, speaks volumes.
Ha ha! And the other one, the bald and bankrupt one, went sneaking into a totally restricted area. What could possibly go wrong? Those two got off so easy!

Who could ever think?) > Was let go soon (but first was thrown to Gulag for 1000 years) > Oh my god it was an awful and stressful experience whyyy god why did they do this to me? (Because Russia is just bad of course)
All of this while a certain u.s. proxy on Russia's western border has been actively committing acts of vicious terrorism within Russia, over and over again. Who could ever imagine they might find him suspicious effing around in a border region. Shocking!!! Unreal man.
This man did not just happen to come to the border region. He came to the area where the new spaceport and secret military installations are located. Based on all this information, it can be inferred that he works for American intelligence agencies. I don't understand why he was released from prison in Russia. He should have stayed there and served his sentence...
@@mirror5076 What does propaganda have to do with it? Indeed, there is a new Russian cosmodrome and a number of secret military installations in that area. Everyone knows this. I think it is no coincidence that this man chose that particular place for his "tour".
Some towns and places in Russia are banned for visiting due to mining gold or other resources, or its close location to the border, thats true. And you have to investigate if you can go there or not, no matter what your citizenship is. The rules are equal for literally everyone.
Yeah- but if he did grow up on Brighton I cannot for the life of me imagine a single Russian or Ukrainian Jewish person steering him towards Birobidzhan. Even my parents' generation ( and I'm 60 ) knew it was a failed experiment. There is nothing there!
He's definitely not fluent in Russian. But he can speak and understand at a low level based on what I've seen and heard from the few videos I watched of his.
I am Australian. My family and I spent 2-3 weeks in Russia (St Petersburg, Moscow and Volgograd). The most impressive and enjoyable time of our lives. Magnificent architecture, colour, pattern, space, design, culture, public parks, public spaces, free or low price public performances or activities, history, transport and, most importantly, welcoming, helpful and friendly people. We researched what, laws, rules, morals and expectations are respected in Russia and adhered to them - absolutely no problems. We were advised by our Foreign Affairs site to carry our passports or a photocopy of the ID page at all times. Only asked for at hotels or when boarding intracity trains and at airports - at no time requested by law enforcement. In fact we came home with a better approach to life and have implemented the helpful and friendly approaches, that we experienced in Russia, in our daily lives in Australia. I would never go into my neighbour's house without his permission and, while there, would never do anything that he didn't want me to do. Next video from the vlogger should be titled 'How the Russian Police treated me with extreme leniency when I deserved to be castigated severely for being a self-centred, dishonest, rabble-rousing loser. Most Australians would consider him, using our slang terminology as a 'drop-kick'.
If you can get with a Russian woman, it actually means you have good chances of getting with a women in other countries. It means the opposite to what that guy said. Russian women aren't that easy and have standards.
100%. Russia is the most difficult country to get women in other than say hardcore Muslim countries and Israel. In my experience the easiest women are in Africa then then Western countries and then Latin America
This stupidity was intentional. The plan was to be arrested on an administrative charge which gets you arrested but not for long. Then he can carry a badge of someone who has been arrested in Russian. A risky game.
I had been following him for years, but since he went to Russia, the way he did things, and the things he said, immediately seemed to me like those of a provocateur. I waited to see what I already knew would happen, and I was not disappointed, it was clear to me that it would end like this. He went to Russia, with a negative attitude, of someone who doesn't inform himself but lets himself be informed. Which adult in a foreign country, (with which his country is at war, yes it is) take "a walk", without carrying documents, to prove his identity?????? Even just the choice of prompts given to the AI to generate the images (it's biased) should make you think a lot, dilapidated places, spy movie atmospheres, 70 year old furniture and objects c'mon! It says a lot about his psychology, it's denigrating russia from the first day, for pure pleasure, because he was educated to think in a certain way about Russia, and he went on a trip there with that idea, even the questions he asked people before being arrested, about the war and look at that? They all answered him that life was bad and painted Russia as a monster. In "every sentence" he says, there is contempt for Russia of yesterday and even today. The problem is that there is no real proof that it really happened, i unsubscribed a few days ago. IMHO for me it's all made up. If it really happened, I think it was wanted, to collect clicks and paint himself as a victim of *evil mother Russia*

when someone says "he is not political" it's most definitely trying to stirr you into his political way without you realizing which is that way. If someone doesn't want to influence you he will tell you first from which political position he is coming so that you know before you make up your mind which side he is on. A lot of RUclipsrs and TikTokers, in pursuit of more views and likes, on which the amount of monetization depends, act out scenes where they allegedly get into "dangerous and risky situations". This guy knew that the punishment for such a violation of the law is not severe. He even found out the amount of the fine before going to the border zone. He deliberately did not take or simply did not show his passport, so that he would be detained. He knew that they would not hold him more than 1-2 days to check the legality of his stay in Russia, and if he did no more wrongs, they would cancell his visa and let him go. He is just a cheap, petty adventurer. In Russia, they say about such adventures "дешево и сердито" (cheap and cheerful). Now, he will tell how he almost ended up in the Gulag, adding new details each time.😁

то, как он стал говорить о России после задержания - с театрально-фальшивыми страданиями, с кадрами из отвратительного голливудского фильма изображающего "ужасную Россию", стало понятно какой он гад!
it's actually a completely wrong approach to believe that in Russia you can be arrested simply for no reason. In Russia, everything is very regulated. If you are a tourist visiting any major city, you don't need to know any special rules. But if you go to the border with China, to a place where tourists have nothing to do, then you should guess that this is a provocation for Russian counterintelligence
Well, you may. Russian police on a lower level is pretty corrupt and not very professional. But most people won’t even come close to this side of police issues, so do most of the Russians. If it’s something related to migrants from south, or drug traffickers, or something like that, you might get in trouble, if you accidentally got in conflict with them. But this is what can happen pretty much anywhere in the world, really.
@@sergeyd2199 Let's not tell fairy tales. Low level is low level because it is easy to find a way to deal with them if they cross the line, because any complaint, if properly applied, can easily destroy a career! Unless it is the traffic police, but on the roads there is an initially nervous atmosphere among the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and public activists such as bloggers/lawyers and in general anyone who wants to get into a conflict easily gets into it, especially when the activist is right and the traffic police officer is not, and since this is not the EU or the USA, this does not lead to arrest for allegedly resisting the legal demands of the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees, because RUclips is littered with similar videos of police lawlessness not from Russia but from the USA! So, corruption. Corruption flourishes at medium-high levels, when it is already high and far from supervision, but at the same time low, that is, not in public ministerial/managerial positions. Corruption likes to develop in the shadows of quite big bosses but not public people. So finding a corrupt policeman at a lower level is not an easy task!
Exactly right we don’t tolerate immigrants near the Canadian and Mexican borders. They would be locked up for a long time look at our incarceration rate
That is pure nonsense. Russia is an extremely corrupt society in which anyone can be arrested for any reason. Check the “corruption perceptions index.” it is and always has been a brutal dictatorship. The tyranny is getting worse by the day. Putin has emptied his prisons of rapists and murderers, and sent them to invade his neighbor, promising them a pardon should they survive. He has purchased 15,000 slaves from North Korea to try and his war of aggression. Since he makes any law he wants., all of this is lawful conduct, just as it was lawful for the Nazis to torture and murder Russians during World War II. Law means nothing in a dictatorship. Of course, Putin also murdered numerous dissidents, like Navalny, as well as a number of oligarchs who opposed them.

Great job of explaining tommy's troubles. I watch his videos and was really worried for all of you Americans living in Russia. But with you examination and explanation I can see the truth of it. Thank you Daniel.
From the beginning he said he was arrested for "fake crimes". But crimes were real. He just doesn't want to respect the law of the country he travels to. So the law pinished him for such an arrogance. He just called his crimes fake because in america it's not crimes. But America is not the center of the world. Some (not all) americans have this arrogance. They judge other countries talking USA as a standart.
In America during WW II the country was about 50x more restricted than they are today even though there was far less behind the lines activity. About 100x less. So yes you must obey the law what a shock. And good luck getting pulled over in USA with no ID it will go much worse.
What he did in the Jewish Oblast is a punishable offense in the US when it's a foreign citizen. They will put on a watchlist so that they can be caught sending photos of "sensitive areas" sent to foreign entities. US citizens will be arrested when found in a prohibited area.

I have watched this guy for several years on and off. I always felt there was something off with him. Long before this video in Russia, I asked him in the comments if he had in the past worked for a 3 letter agency, maybe even as a contractor for the C**. As I had read before in comments someone had stated that he did have that background. Well he actually responded to me with a one word response, “wrong”. He seems awkward, kind of even goofy. Often in comments people correct him for incorrect information. So in summary I do believe that he has some kind of past in that area and don’t completely trust him.
His Russian language skills are higher than he lets on. So you may be right about his previous employment though nobody ever really leaves the company.

I still don't understand why this blogger from the USA came to Birobidzhan and searched hard for Jews there?! But it was obvious from his video that he personally knows nothing about Jews or Russia. Any person who was born in the womb of a Jewish woman is considered a Jew. This is an axiom! And according to Russian traditions, when a woman marries, she takes her husband's last name. Thus, a Jewish woman can have any surname that is not traditional for Jews. And, further, the children whom this woman will later give birth to will be Jews by definition, but at the same time have their father's name as their middle name (patronymic). Thus, when he (the blogger) read the inscription on the monument (and it was the patronymic of the deceased), he immediately concluded that there were no Jews here. After that, I was personally disappointed with his intellectual abilities!
And you're forgetting something else- mixed marriages. Say my father is Russian and my mom is Jewish. Before 1991 when you're a mutt and you turn 16 you get to choose your " nationality ".

Yeah, he's a huge russophobe. He soaked in all of the western mainstream media lies about Russia. Definitely not a person with an open mind. I'm just glad he's never visiting us again.
When you're in another country, you're a guest. You abide by their laws, no matter how silly. I got detained for about an hour at airport because of a pair of binoculars in my luggage. The customs people thought that they were 'military'. My wife arrived, made explanations and we were good to go. Nobody's day was ruined.
We always have at least a copy with us asa well. And that is even for an American visiting Canada or Mexico. Cruise ships always tell you to at least have your ship ID.
I believe it was Elina (Eli from Russia), a travel vlogger, Russian citizen, who was detained and questioned for far less. Because she looked suspicious to a local in one of the more remote regions of Russia (cause she had a camera). This would happen in any country, that’s what border guards do. I think he just wanted some clickbait (on the bald and bankrupt pattern). It’s common sense when visiting a foreign country to at least keep your passport on you at all times.
@@sunbeam5605 I don’t remember exactly where, the point was even a Russian citizen has to have ID on them at all times and respect the law when they travel, moreso a foreigner.

This isn't a Cold War. Your personnel are guiding your missiles and conducting reconnaissance. Training soldiers. This is the hot phase, it's just that few of yours are dying-it's unnoticed.
I saw this video, and my 1st thought was that he knew that apparently you could not be near the borders while visiting Russia. This makes since with the conflict going on. Furthermore, he stated he knew that, and he went to the border areas anyhow, knowing full well that he was breaking a regulation or law. He says he knew he wasn't supposed to be within 20 km from the border. I wouldn't know that that was a law had I not seen this, but he says it is. He willingly broke the law, knowing, as he says, that he was breaking the law, which tells me that he has no regard for the laws of the country. Who does that??? What a jerk!!! He said in his video that he said he knew it wasn't OK, but he did so anyhow. He said in the beginning that he knew he needed a permit to be where he was and that he was supposed to have his passport. He had already had a "run-in with the police" near the Russia-China border. The police had apparently already warned him that he wasn't supposed to be there, and he was being flippant about the laws. Additionally, in his other interviews, he is extremely disrespectful about the country he was visiting. He said he even read signs saying you need documentation that he could absolutely read! He admits that! He has traveled before, he apparently lives in or has lived in China. Additionally, he says he was warned! And tells the police that he is filming! Why would you be doing that on the border of any country??? Yet he says that he was "unjustly locked up"!!! And furthermore, he was warned. He was not unjustly locked up. He could read the signs. He knew he was breaking the law, and he continued on anyhow. From what he said, it seems he likely said something about "invading" the police or country, from what he said. He went into a foreign country, he was warned, he knew he was breaking the law, and he was in a sensitive area FILMING on a border! This guy was being a jerk and continued on despite being warned, and he admits it. I dislike clickbait, which is seemingly all he does. He reminds me of a reporter acting out a scene and trying to tell us it is reality, Luke CNN putting a reporter in a hole, acting like there was a hurricane blowing, but if you look in the background, there are people walking their dogs, walking normally... That is not a "Good RUclipsr", that's a jerk waisting my time, trying to make up stories about another country that aren't true, and he's insanely disrespectful towards others. I suspect he has trouble getting a girl because I don't know anyone who would put up with the disrespect of women, of rules in a country, and even after he was arrested and put in jail, he is still disrespectful, and still a jerk. I hadn't heard that he had tested positive for drugs, but I can not say that I am surprised, as his behavior is often seen in those who drink and do drugs. I'm guessing he got an invitation to not come back to the country. If he visited my home and disrespected it or me that way, I wouldn't want him back, either. All I can say is that he brought it onto himself.
Great job Dan. It's totally reasonable for Russian authorities to extend his detention to investigate him. Anyone (public) being at a border crossing normally has the intention to cross the said border and should have his/her passport with him/her. So, when caught without one at such a place, of course the authorities will view him as highly suspicious despite him claiming to be a tourist. Another factor to consider is Russia being on high alert for terrorist activities after Crocus, Dania Dugina, the journalist and most recently General Kirillov and his aide. For him to claim fake arrest and unjustified detention, I can say his intention after that was to prove to viewers that Russia is a bad place as reported by the mainstream media. The director of BBC, Tim Davie said to British lawmakers on 17/12 “It is cognitive warfare, as it’s been called, as people try and win the hearts and minds of populations and people around the world.” and that news outlets from Russia and China are thriving in volume of readership despite ban which translates to people around the world are abandoning and disbelieving western news media.
I fallow this guy's videos and something he is kinda sarcastic. His big error was not having his passport with him and also there is a law that applies even to anyone being near to the border. Besides, he lived in China for six years and in China you must carry your passport with you... everyone that travels to China knows that. I think he is bitter now, because he screwed up and the Russian government cancelled his visa and basically he can't return to Russia anymore.
but in his blog, he calls China a bastion of freedom compared to Russia, and for some reason it seems to me that in China he did not dare to visit problem areas to make provocative reports!
It is clear to me that in this conflict, if one wants to live/travel peacefully in either country involved, then don't openly oppose the country you are in. Within 2 years... (will return shortly)...

@@JanemasWhat are you saying? That he lies about not being Jewish? Of course it's a load of crap. He could be a mutt- but his hatred of Stalin and the Soviet Union is very real and very personal. His family was somehow affected by what happened in 1953. Like Volodya and yours truly like to say, " K gadalke ne xodi ".
The first video I came across of his was when he had just arrived to Russia. He was already bringing up how he hopes he won't end up arrested in Russia and how it's probably a bad idea to be going there as an American. He also kept alluding to all of the bs Western propaganda about Russia. He's also quite condescending when he speaks and was honestly rubbing me the wrong way, so I unsubbed from him after that first video. Then I watched that Part 1 so-called vlog of him visiting the Autonomous Jewish Oblast. In that video he really pissed me off whenever he came across the memorials for the Great Patriotic War (WW2). He condescendingly said how where ever he visited across Russia there was always these WW2 Memorials and Soviet Statues of Lenin or Stalin. He made it sound as if Russians are obsessed with such memorials. This pissed me off because everyone knows that the USSR lost 30,000,000 people during WW2, of which more than half were Russians. There isn't a Russian alive who doesn't have a family member who didn’t die during that war. Hell, I alone have at least 4 that I know of. My maternal grandfather's mother, father, and 5yo sister were taken out of their home and executed along with thousands of others from their town, Berdichev, Zhitomirskaya Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, by Nazis. Then, my paternal great uncle was a soldier and was KIA in battle. So for him to say shit like that is extremely insulting! Also, no one gets arrested and sent to prison. You can be detained in a jail while you're investigated and then there's a trial. You need to be convicted and sentenced before being sent to prison. It's like that in the US as well. If you break the law, you'll be arrested and taken to jail. Depending on the location and the day and time, you might have to sit in jail for an entire weekend before you see an arraignment judge, who will set bail. However, if you can't afford to pay the bail, then you'll end up sitting in jail for however long it takes until your case is closed. It can sometimes take months or years and you can be innocent and have to sit in jail that long. This is the US thet I'm talking about. You know, the #1 ranked country in the world for number of people it incarcerates. But this guy goes to where he knows he shouldn't be and without his passport, gets detained for a few days or a week, and then released. He even got all of his video footage from that day. Yet he's trying to turn it into this ridiculous video throwing shade at Russia and how this poor helpless innocent American RUclips travel blogger was unjustly arrested and imprisoned.... Anyways, I'm glad you made this video and pointed out all of the shit that doesn't add up.
they are mostly d u m b americans and europeans who are high on the current MSM "Russia man bad" propaganda and so this narrative plays perfectly to his audience.
I appreciate the analysis. I follow both of you guys and i initially felt bad for him being locked up, but you’re right. He played with fire in a country at war with the West and cry’s foul when he gets burnt. And now all his podcast appearances are revealing his immaturity and intentions.

You can get arrested in the USA for not having an ID with you, if you give a bad attitude when asked for ID and you don’t have it to jail with you! This guy travels and is lying when he says he did ‘t know you have to have your Passport with you, I have been in dozens of countries and they all require it by law to have your passport with you when out side of your accommodations, whether you get arrested or not depends a lot on how you manage the situation!

Thank you Dan for showing the simple and logical truth and that people around the world can think logically.
Yes it really feels like the twilight zone how people are sheep

Yes he talks like the Taliban we used to capture who would lie all the time 🤣
it's actually a completely wrong approach to believe that in Russia you can be arrested simply for no reason.
And that without his passeport...

And good luck getting pulled over in USA with no ID it will go much worse.
are you fing kidding. Its no joke. No crime was committed beyond $5 fine but he spent weeks in prison instead for harrassment and stupid shit.
resisting arrest and no ID is a crime. Try it in USA
What he did in the Jewish Oblast is a punishable offense in the US when it's a foreign citizen. They will put on a watchlist so that they can be caught sending photos of "sensitive areas" sent to foreign entities.
US citizens will be arrested when found in a prohibited area.
In USA you can get arrested by a police officer for less than that.

This is a good video.
Thank you for your effort.
Thanks for noticing 🙏🏻
And my brother. And Zakhar Prilepin. And Kiva.
And he knew about both and in this video he says it many times 🤣
but in his blog, he calls China a bastion of freedom compared to Russia, and for some reason it seems to me that in China he did not dare to visit problem areas to make provocative reports!
It is clear to me that in this conflict, if one wants to live/travel peacefully in either country involved, then don't openly oppose the country you are in. Within 2 years... (will return shortly)...

His story is this: "I am a wonderful, innocent, victimized Jew. And I was persecuted by the big, evil Russia." He makes me sick.
Jesus H Christ- the guy is NOT Jewish!
He's not Jewish. Or so he says.
Oh, no! He's so not Jewish and he's so not a third generation 1953 Jewish Purges survivor! For God's sake, the man would take Zelensky and Bandera over Lenin. 😂
Daniel Good luck in life ! You smart .
He was looking for a trouble. Wanted to be arrested? American muppet...
Unfortunately all things point to that

He is only looking for clickbait and started problems on purpose
Well in this video we have him the benefit of the doubt but over and over again he shows he knew what he was doing and he put it all on camera 🤣
That’s not true at all. I’ve followed that guys channel “sabbatical” for quite some time. He did absolutely nothing to instigate his arrest. That makes me think this channel is Russian propaganda.
@@suggadeg What do you mean "he did absolutely nothing to instigate his arrest"? He broke the law. Knowingly or not (and he admits he did it "knowingly"), he broke the law. Would the police in YOUR country let you off, if they caught you breaking the law?
@@suggadeg You sound biased and very naive
@@suggadegyou present literally no evidence outside of “I watched sabbatical video”…
Bald and Bankrupt at least was honest about why he got kicked out of Russia.
Seeing how is not the first time, yet we have other vloggers who has been to China, Russia, etc etc and not get arrested gives me a reason to think he did this purposely.
I see a Pattern here and its not a good one. That guy is a provocoteur of sorts.
He’s just another Johnny Somali. Another provocateur type for clout and clicks.
He works for the U.S Government.
Afraid so.

And he's lucky they didn't delete his video footage after seeing his condescending statements in it.
Everyone should respect the rules and laws of the country you’re visiting and be polite and courteous as a visitor
For sure ☝🏻

That, my darling, was the general idea.
they are mostly d u m b americans and europeans who are high on the current MSM "Russia man bad" propaganda and so this narrative plays perfectly to his audience.
OMG, that guys entitlement is next level. He’s like a rich spoiled kid 😂
In general, I have a life rule: don't visit a country at war. The authorities will be on edge.
I appreciate the analysis. I follow both of you guys and i initially felt bad for him being locked up, but you’re right. He played with fire in a country at war with the West and cry’s foul when he gets burnt. And now all his podcast appearances are revealing his immaturity and intentions.
Well it doesn’t take too long for the truth to come out, unfortunately he wanted such a result which he says himself… in various clips.
I’m happy he didn’t get into more trouble.

Well done Castle. He knew he would be detained for a little bit and get away with a "story." At least he doesn't do politics 😂😂
Bro, he seriously reminds me of Taliban POWs we took … the body language the random lies. Of course we had translators telling us what the Taliban say but they would tell 1 truth and 1000 lies.
Much like this young man but the strange part is listening to a liar in english … the “blah blah blah” while telling a traumatic story means he had no words for that particular lie 🤣

Excellent Dan. People need to know this. Personally I would love to visit Russia with a Russian the first time I go. It makes life so much easier when a native shows you around.
Yes Google search and a real translator would have helped him… unless he never wanted the help and wanted that outcome 🤣
@@Wild-SiberiaDan, as an American yourself, don't you find it strange that he didn't ask American embassy/consulate to be notified right after the 1st time he got into trouble & was brought to police office right on 25 Oct? If you move abroad then respect that countries laws and abide by them also its good to learn a bit about that country's customs.

😂 Yep, right. Well, i try to remember how many times i visited the US of A. Never carried my passport anywhere. The world out there is not like Russia. I'd never recommend anyone who didn't support Russia's illegal invasion to travel to Russia anyway. Or you have to sell your soul. You manage there until you open your mouth and speak the truth. And the rest we know.
And btw, I've travelled central America, Mexico, etc. Lots of different countries. I never carried my passport. Dan doesn't know what he's talking about. And any other countries you are able to visit zone areas (like China ot the other side, no problems). The US is one exception, but if you did the same in the USA, they only turned you back or so.
@@Amanda-vk7cn That's couse you are American. Russians also don't actually have to have their documents with them. LMAO what are you smoking bro???? You get detained until they can verify your identity. That's not automatic jail LOLOL

Here in the EU, the EU introduced a law many years ago that every citizen needs to carry identification with him / her at all times, going outside.
Let alone a foreigner. Do not be naive !!!!
Side note, when the Netherlands was still a souvereign country (well, kinda) you could go outside without.
Side note 2, in all these years it never happened that any one asked me for identification. It only happens when there is a clear reason for it.
That's not true, there is not such law. But if you don't have your passport or driving license with you the police will arrest you until your identity is checked and verified if you have committed a crime or broke some regulations…
What a big lie. There is no such law.
BS.
I'm from the EU and never carry a I.D. i got checked by police many Times without a problem. If a crime happens nearby and you got checked it could maybe a bit Stressfull and they can then legally detain you till your idendity is verified.
