Checking My 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL For Possible Blown HORN Fuse Diagnose Troubleshoot How To Video

  • Watch as I share with you how I looked into, and found, how to check my fuse box, for a possible blown horn fuse on my 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL…
    The Horn does not work at all.
    This is clearly a service issue.
    But before sending my vehicle off to the dealer, I had to diagnose the issues at hand, I knew I could handle…
    After discovering it’s not the fuse, I’ve decided we’re going to be off to the dealer.
    The car is not safe without a Horn to drive!!
    It will NOT PASS inspection.
    I can’t alert “caution” to others.
    My Alarm does not operate properly.
    I wouldn’t know if it was going off, because there’s no sound! The Horn doesn’t honk or beep, when “on!”
    Major safety hazard. Period.
    I will update you all down the road the end results…
    Please like and subscribe for more great videos!!
    Thanks for watching!!

    Update! Update! UPDATE! I received my car back from the dealership possession, after replacement of BOTH horns… They did need to be ordered, and because it’s a safety issue to drive with an inoperable horn, I took advantage of my free unlimited mileage rental car. Upon dealer diagnostics, they revealed the resistance was too high to the power and ground of both horns… Meaning the resistance to the circuits, going to the horns, was reading too high. Apparently, upon manufacturing of the vehicle, they set the horn power too high, and therefore the horns blew out prematurely… SO…the dealer prematurely had to replace BOTH actual horns, free of charge, and finally after nearly two weeks being without my vehicle, my vehicle was returned to my possession, with operable horns, without charging me the $100 dealer diagnostic fee, without charging me the horn fee costs and without charging me the dealer labor charges, AND without charging me a rental car fee… I DO RECOMMEND checking out your fuse, FIRST, to ensure your fuse didn’t just blow. HOWEVER, if your horn isn’t working on your brand new car, it’s probably more than likely because HYUNDAI MANUFACTURERS did not set the resistance properly to your horns, causing them to prematurely STOP WORKING… Best of Luck to ALL and Thanks so Much For watching, liking, commenting and Following!! Take Care.

    I have that same problem on my 2023 Hyundai Elantra SEL convenience package. I called the Hyundai dealership where I bought my car from, and they told me they should have put this on recall since my car was assembled in South Korea. I thought it was the fuse but it wasn't the fuse at all it was just the horn part that has gone bad but they have to replace the whole entire time luckily it's under electrical warranty.

    • @GMoneySaver
      @GMoneySaver  8 месяцев назад

      Absolutely should be recalled by now!!! I can’t tell you how many people are dealing with this, but sure enough, you don’t find out about it, until you need to utilize the horn… Sad, truly.
      In your case, I am very happy things are going to work out in your favor, but still an inconvenience to you, as well as others… Our time is very precious and valuable.
      Thank you for sharing your personal experience with myself, as well as others…

      Great to know your fuse is NOT the issue!! Go ahead and schedule a free replacement horns service, at your Hyundai dealer, and make sure it’s covered under warranty, at no out of pocket expense to you… It’s a safety hazard to not have an operable horn on your new car… I pray for the day Hyundai will finally recall the horns and schedule the country for replacement to avoid a potentially hazardous situation!! Hopefully, they throw in a $50 gift card for our inconveniences, too!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I hope your vehicle gets taken care of SOON, remember “FREE OF CHARGE,” “UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY.” Best of Luck, my friend!! 😊

      So sorry to hear this!! Definitely shouldn’t have to be dealing with this sort of reoccurring situation, seeing as there’s definitely a manufacturer issue that Hyundai is apparently not “feeling” like dealing with personally, by presenting its consumers with a mass deemed “recall…” Please ensure your dealer rectifies the problem for you, and provides a quick and speedy resolution, with, hopefully, no future reoccurrence occurring!! If your mileage is still under warranty, I would definitely have it dealer serviced free of charge. Keep referencing the under 5 year, 60,000 miles: bumper to bumper warranty coverage… The sensors sometimes malfunction, shortly, during heavy rain, snow, and ice. ZERO excuses for the horn EVER not to work. Be sure to document your issues, to help better your outcome… Best of Luck!! 🙏 🚘

But probably will make you wait until “the part comes in” sadly!! Leaving you drive around with a “known” safety hazard, like thousands of other unsuspecting vehicle owners! Also, be on the look out for your reverse cameras failure…HOPEFULLY, it’ll fail BEFORE your vehicle is out of warranty, unlike me!! 😞

      They weren’t happy, but they ended up issuing a rental for almost a month!! End result, no out of pocket cost to me, they replaced both high and low pitched horns, under warranty. It’s a safety hazard and fail regarding inspection, etc. Clearly with ALL of the owners facing the SAME issue, a recall they don’t want to recall!! I was very upset. One of the FIRST to have this repetitive issue FOUND and handled… The horn has been working fine since… I sure hope you can convince them to HELP you take care of your issue in a timely manner… Good Luck, and Feel Free to update us on your outcome!!! 🚘 🍀 😊

      @@GMoneySaver Thank you for that! 🙏🏾 I do have an update. So since my car is still under warranty and all the dealerships seem to be backed up and they can’t get me in a rental car either. @@devangeohicks4683 Sounds nice, BUT I truly wonder how the outcome would turn out and whether or not they would be under warranty after their replacement. Your call. Obviously. Did you take it to the dealer yet curious what happened I noticed my horn stopped working the other day

    • @GMoneySaver
      @GMoneySaver  2 года назад

      Call the dealer and demand a “sooner than later” appointment. It is a safety issue, that prevents you from safely driving the car. If they can’t fix it at the appointment, get a free rental car with your license, insurance card present and a credit card, that they can place on file. Should be no charge. For everything. It’s a new car, with a 5 year, 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. Guys at dealership laughed(not funny to me, certainly!), saying those warranties aren’t anything but sales pitches to try and get customers to purchase their cars… No one should be driving a horn issue new car around anywhere. It’s a major safety issue hazard. I was in 4 very problematic dangerous situations, where my Horn would not work prior to my appointment. And on blulink, they wanted me to wait two months to be seen!
      Funny how 2021+ Hyundai Elantra’s are no longer equipped with a horn relay, in addition to a fuse, for a horn, under their fuse panel boxes, under the hood…
      Anyways, I called. They set me up for an appointment two weeks out, driving around WITHOUT a working horn. They said they ordered a horn. I just got there, this past week, they said your horn’s not working, and we don’t have one. So I guess they never ordered one after all! It’s a safety issue to drive without a horn. I got a rental issued free of charge, and won’t see my car back for at least two weeks… We’ll see what happens, but I don’t like it.
      If it’s happening at under 20,000 miles. Using it more frequently in the future makes me wonder is this going to happen again??? If it’s not under warranty in the future, it’ll cost $100 for them to say that’s the problem, and at least another $400 between the part and labor… Let’s see how many other people’s horns stop working on these Hyundai’s before a recall comes about… Thanks for watching, commenting and wondering!! Enjoy your weekend!!
