- 2014 Hyundai Elantra alarm 🚨 going off ; Easy fix to stop the alarm 🚨 from going off by disabling the alarm 🚨 fuse by removing it and possibly replacing with new fuse. Dealership was asking for $145 to just check and diagnose before they charge to fix. Well this car is not worth the fix since will be getting rid of it soon for a Honda or Toyota. But for the mean time, alarm 🚨 is off and no more noise.
If you can’t , just get a mechanic who deals with electrical and electronic to help fix but might come at high cost; do your homework well and save money 💵
ATG & I say your B/A Born (its a Relay) is still good. When you removed it out, the whole circuit is now open (like hitting an A/C switch on the home wall & the light goes off).
The real problem is on the micro switches or the plugs.
Again look very careful on the doors, trunk & engine hood for the micro switch or water in the plug connected to the micro-switch.
ATG's micro-switch is small black rectangular box with 1 or 2 screws with a small metal lead. Push the lead in, if you hear a click, then its usually okay (best to test with a DMM)
Or inspect for water around the plug of ATG's.
Clean it out with a blow-dryer & apply ATG's grease in the plug.
You may save yourself 2 to 3 trips to the dealership & saves you $350.00 or more.
Thanks for the explanation

my 2012 hyundai elantra was doing the same thing alarm going off for no reason ! i pulled this fuse out like you showed and the problem is solved !!! no more alarm going off, thank you !!! really saved me the price of taking it into a dealership!!! again thank you for your very helpful video !!!!
I am glad it worked for you. Remember to manually lock the doors when you exit the car. Thanks 🙏
I have a 2012 hyandai Elantra and my car has been going off for years. How did you pull the switch out?
I just did this with mine. The noise stopped but I still hear a clicking as if the alarm is going off.. the car will not start while this alarm is going off. Any ideas?
I charged my battery and it seems to have fixed the problem. When I removed the fuse I noticed the lights would still flash. A new battery may be the best fix but this has worked so far.
Thank you! You're a genius! Worked for my 2001 Acura. My fuse said HORN RELAY. THANK YOU AGAIN!
Welcome and yes it’s a horn relay not a fuse. I made mistake calling it out in video and learnt it’s a horn relay. Thanks
Tyerrific. Easy to follow and such a quick fix. No more noise!
Am glad it helped you out. Thanks for the feedback
Thank you Thank you Thank you! 3 DAYS hearing my 2014 Hyundai Tucson alarm going off whenever it felt like it, without me ever setting the alarm or even locking the doors. Even if I just parked and was still sitting inside with the door open and keys in my hand.
I'll fix it later, but I'm glad the noise stopped for now cause it wasn't helping me think l that's for sure.
Am glad it helped and you can fix it later
👍🏿👍🏿
Had to use a hammer since my tools were at work to softly pry it out as the 2014 turbo had it in a terrible spot. Thanks for uploading this.
Welcome 🙏
Very usefull but just in case you didn't know, the white thing in the box where the fuses are, there is a fuse puller on the top right. It will be easier to take the fuses out.
Thanks for the insight on the fuse puller.
yeah, but then you have no car horn😊
It’s a relay BA horn and it’s not linked to the car horn. It disables the alarm and anti theft so if you open door no noise. You have to manually check to make sure all doors are locked
@@TheSENYO I have this car alarm problem with my 1998 Camry. I live in Germany ( Dutch though), and the car is rare here. I removed the "car horn" chip before( smaller than what you pulled)...so I put it back;) My car would still flicker like Christmaslights anyway. I hope I can somehow fix it myself. I love the car, it's so comfy to drive.
@@meowsaidthecat5338 I hope you get a fix for it soon 🔜 cos it’s very annoying hearing those sound nonstop
I need help for seat leon mk2 2012 diesel alarm keeps going off? I want to turn off noise at least
Hey I have a 2007 Acura TL and my car alarm goes off randomly and it’s keeping my neighbours up. I feel horrible and would it work with my car as well? Taking the fuzz out?
@@jacobdaddy7707 It’s actually called a relay and you should refer to your car manual or look it up on RUclips. I think once the BA horn or relay is removed, it should stop going off randomly.
Will this completely turn off the alarm? Because my Elantra does it at random times and I still want the horn but not the random beeping. Also when I lock it sometimes it doesn’t beep so should this fix it?
Yes it will completely turn off the alarm 🚨 but you can change the relay and see if it will resolve the problem. I took mine trying to fix but to no avail and you know the dealerships so I decided to go this route
Yesterday I was at a client, he had the same issue. The problem was on the REMOTE, the "panic" button was stuck. I did simply opened, cleaned and reassemble . That was it.
Where is that bottom
Hi! This just started happening with my 2010 Hyundai Elantra. I called the dealer where I bought it and they said they didn’t know it came with an alarm. The sound of it sounds like my horn with the front lights turning on and off. Would this video help?
Am sure this video will help, most dealerships will charge more to fix. I took the relay off and solved my problem. It’s annoying to hear the alarm 🚨 going off
Weird, I have the exact same car and my alarm has been doing this since July! With absolutely no warning either
I also have a 2010 Elantra and this has been going on for quite a while I was told if I locked my car using the key that locked the driver side door using my key that it might help.It did for a while, then started again. I just removed the relay that activates the horn. Now no horn and most likely no alarm either. How did you make out ?
@@inertia2004 hey! I actually manually lock my doors now and the alarm has not gone off since. A friend of mine recommended me to do this instead of using the button to lock the car, thats the only time my alarm would go off. Now manually locking my car, I no longer have to worry about spending almost $3-$400 for this. I hope this helped!
@@MsNena637 hi thanks for the reply. Yeah that was also recommended to me so I started doing it and then eventually after a few weeks the alarm started going off again, even after I manually locked the door with my key. 😫
I have a 2017 forte lx ... I had to remove my 15A fuse... Thank you so much for your help.
Am happy this video helped you
Thanks so much for the feedback. Really appreciate your comment.
Will you be able to start the car once this alarm is disconnected?
Yes 👍🏿absolutely yes 👍🏿
You only have to manually lock all doors to be on the safe side when you exit the car. This is a kinda common issue with type of car. This helped resolve the issue for me so I didn’t have to deal with the alarm going off at random times. I eventually sold it. Thanks 🙏
I have a 2010 Nissan pathfinder. The car alarm wouldn’t go off after I reconnected the battery. I just pulled the fuse connected the battery. Then put the fuse back in.
Hope that worked for you
My car alarm keeps going off my neighbors are pissed. Will it work on my 2016 Hyundai Elantra??
Did you try? Did it work? I have same problem
When you remove this fuse will the horn still work?
Yes 👍🏿 for the Hyundai Elantra the horn did work but the car alarm will be disabled. So I manually locked and checked my doors. Thanks
Your advice solves headache. Thanks!
Always welcome 🙏
When mine goes off the lights also flash. Will they still do this?
Yes and can drain the battery
the fuse you removed, are you now without a horn for daily driving?
It’s actually a relay and no the horn works perfectly. The relay is called BA horn. There are other labels for horn. Am not a mechanic tho. It’s something that worked for the Elantra I was using and figured others had similar problems. Car is currently sold cos needed upgrade. Thanks 🙏
@@TheSENYO thanks for responding
Welcome 🙏
My boyfriend did what you did you said to do and the problem is it keeps going off and the lights flicker there’s no sound but the lights flicker anyway is there any way to fix it??
I strongly believe if he took the BA horn relay it will stop the alarm 🚨 from going off. Different cars with different relay labels 🏷️ so please check that for the alarm and see if it works. Thanks
From my understanding it’s usually a security sensor which is located in each door frame, hood and trunk. Works kinda like a refrigerator light in a sense. It confirms the door or hood is shut fully and secured. They can go bad and that much I’m still researching because my 2013 Hyundai Elantra is randomly going off I actually thought it attempted burglary at first it’s been broken into before. Worse case scenario I’d imagine just unplug the security horn. Should be located on the left corner. Don’t have empty fuses.
Thanks for the research and explanation. Mine was getting so annoying and had my in-law show me what to do so I filmed it. I am not a mechanic and just know very little about cars when it comes to fixing. Really appreciate your explanation. I pulled my BA horn and that resolved my issue. The dealership charges were ridiculous so I opted out and sold it after a year and upgraded to Toyota highlander. Thanks
Will this disable a Nissan ultima alarm?
Am sorry I never had a Nissan so can’t tell. This is specific to Elantra
Very handy man, knows how to safe money DIY
Yes yes yes ; the dealership asking for $145 just to check it and was helped by father in-law to locate the fuse to disable the alarm 🚨. It’s done ✅ and might just sell it off cos Hyundai is not so good
Thanks 🙏
@@TheSENYO that's awesome my brother
Empress Shakura thanks 🙏 my sister
I have a problem with the original Peugeot 307 CC alarm. It's constantly draining the battery. How do I turn off the alarm? I want to remove it completely.
I’d advise you consult someone who got knowledge on Peugeot 307. I don’t know much about French cars
Oh thank you so much. I've disabled my door and hood sensors and it still goes off. Trying this now! 🙏🙏
jamlaw let me know if it worked. I think 💭 it should. And you very welcome 🙏
SKT In Focus
Try charging your battery.
Thank you!
Welcome 🙏
is it called BA alarm fuse on all makes?
B/A Horn fuse
Am not sure 🤔 on all makes. Mine was 2014 and that was the label 🏷 for that fuse. Thanks 🙏, hope you are able to find some solutions.
unable to pull it out by hands, is there any trick to remove it
I used a pair of pliers but there is a fuse and relay puller in the fuse box. Thanks
Thank you so much making this video. I am sure this video has helped a lot of people. Blessings
Hello, friend, my Elantra alarm also keeps going off. I used WD-40 for all doors but still not worked. I tried your method today and hope it will stop the noises. Thank you!

Positive it will. Leave me feedback, Thanks 😊
Did it work?

@@wzhings thanks!
@@wzhingsdid you changed the relay to a different spot or bought a new one and replaced it?
Fuse, relay.. Y’all know what the man means c’mon now.
Thank you 😊. I should have added am not a mechanic lol 😂 that will have covered me right. Thanks 🙏
Hi But when my alarm goes off it isn't the horn is the alarm it self so will it be the same fuse? Thanks
Yes the alarm 🚨 is just labeled BA Horn
What do I do if my 2002 Honda Civic alarm goes off whenever I open the door?
Video was a onetime thing I did to save me from spending too much money on my Hyundai Elantra. I’d suggest finding that relay and replace it to see if it will resolve the problem. Or get someone who knows About Honda cars to help
Hi. In my car there's no ba horn fuse I only see two Horn fuses which one is it?
Is your car 2014 Hyundai Elantra
@@TheSENYO No its a 2011 Vauxhall insignia but I've tried locking the car from inside instead of using the key pad. But not sure which to disconnect it says theft alarm system in one of the fuses at the back circuit but it doesn't come off
@@katflorida8349 so the label 🏷 for the alarm will differ. You might want to remove one ☝️ at a time to see if the alarm going off will stop. Thanks
I tried this , it’s still going off , any other suggestions ?
Really helpfull thank you !!
Great 👍🏿 And welcome 🙏
Thank you. Simple and fast!!!
Welcome 🙏 glad it helps
Actually that is not a fuse, is Relay, 👍
Yes sir relay in the fuse box.
My alarm goes off when it's hot outside. I'm tire of it. I unplugged the horn harnesses ans it still beeps. Im going to disable the fuses.
Yes I had to disable my fuse to solve my problem. It was really annoying
thank u so much !!
Am glad it helped you solve your issue.
don't you just lock your door then unlock and it disarms itself? might be simpler
Tried all that, never worked. Could be a factory defect. But this worked for me
You have a white twizer on the far right inorder to pull the fuses required .
Yes 👍🏿 realized it afterwards. Thanks 🙏
My BA horn is hard to remove 🙄
There should be a puller tool for it in the fuse box. Mine was tough to remove as well. Had to wiggle it a few times
@@TheSENYOI will check . I had my bf check but he said he didn’t see anything for it
Will the car still start ? I have a 2011 Hyundai limited
I tried this, there’s no sound but the lights are still flashing. This didn’t solve all my problems.
Sorry to hear that. What is the make and model of car? Hope you are able to get a mechanic to help
Thank you
Welcome 🙏
The square thing he removed is a relay not a fuse
Yes sir it’s a relay. Thanks
Ir worked for my brother’s car
Great news
But now the horn don't work
Check and follow the design on your fuse box to remove the BA horn. There is another fuse for horn itself. If not, buy new fuse and replace it.
My 2013 Chrysler 200 alarm goes off every time I lock and unlock my car
Can you help me turn it off or fix it?
Mine was a Hyundai Elantra. Try looking at fuse box and locate the alarm 🚨 fuse and take it off or replace with new one. Hope that helps
Its a Relay not a fuse. What you are showing is not really a fix.
Yes sir it’s a relay; thanks for correction
That's not a fix at all the lights will just flash off and on instead
I did not experience that. Used it for about 6 months before selling it off
Worked for me but the lights still flashing...
Might want to check some of the other fuse as well. Mine worked just fine
@@TheSENYO Yours stopped the horn blaring?
Am asking...
@@Abonimablesnowman yes 👍🏿 it did.
Same with my Kia. Took horn relay out but light still flash ever so often. How do you stop that?…… I have take battery loose every time I drive car.
