A lot of Conor's training involves hand-eye coordination. I've noticed in his fights he NEVER takes his eyes off his opponents, even as he's weaving and slipping punches, something even high level UFC fighters do. This allows him to routinely control distance and bait people into getting counter punched, which is exactly what he did to Alvarez.
I wish Conor would get his sht together. He was the guy who first got me interested in MMA with how relaxed his technique was and his philosophy on fighting.
He was truly a phenom. Take a look at Payton Talbott, he doesn't have any of the charisma/magnetism that Connor had, but his fighting style is absolutely beautiful and similar
zippy t noo i wasnt bashing conor at all i was adding to the original saying you cant leave out his accomplishments when discussing his impact on the sport
victor bolaños tbh I've never seen any fighter that focuses like Connor. when he used his left to counter, you can see the amount of training and passion that he has
his training is so unique especially the movement training. that's something I need to do. that shit looks like it can't help but it's such a huge factor
his boxing is absolutely beautiful. I's love to see him fight a decent pro to see how he'd get on. his shots against nate in the second fight was as good as anything ive ever seen in mma and nate is a good boxer himself but mcgregor lit him up.
Na its just nice for you casuals but everybody who has actuallay had some fights and boxed and loves the sports sees through that flashy thing you call boxing!!
People, I hope you understand that the real training is not on the camera, The movement training is like yoga, or gymnastics that GSP did, it isn't the real training. The showed us some sparring, some shadow boxing, pad and bag work, but the real training is not on the camera. His hands are so clean, dang..
but not nearly all and not in context - no ground, no wrestling, no fresh work - thats when people say "oh he is so slow" ....yeah he probably trained 3 h before that so his bag work is not 100% fast....i mean people are so ignorant and say even anderson silver looks slow in his training
Nice to see some quality work trainning (among a few flashy moments), mainly based on the magnificient contributions of Ido Portal ! Of course it's only glimpses, not even 10% of what he does on a daily basis
***** its called promoting everyone takes it so serious its to get people to love or hate him which adds interest which increases buys hes just playing a character and hes smart about it thats not who is he as a person he is a really good guy just knows how to hype a fight ali did the same gayweather tried it but it wasnt that good lol
***** i mean he lost one ufc fight compared to nates like ten so and hes gonna beat nate in the return but you cant see that enjoy it while it lasts but youll be the first person ill talk trash to
CM took the status of the UFC to a whole different level. So he lost a fight. You all loose at some point. Whether you are Ali, Djokovic, or Barcelona etc. No matter what sport. Loosing is part of it. How will he come back? That tale will be told in the ring. He is an immensely talented fighter who put in an enormous amount of hard work to get where he is. He deserves nothing but respect. And no I am not Irish. I am Dutch. We will however visit Dublin end of August. Gotta love that town.
callatelabocaalikatr how is everything in haters world by these days? "he has proved nothing yet"...besides that he is the goat and that he destroyed two champs as if they were little kids no...he didn't prove anything more.
Idk why people think his training is gay or something. From what I see all that training is making him better overall and it's very useful movements that carry over very well to his sport and into life.
I will be at the UFC gym of Torrance again in the morning at 4:30AM until around 7AM doing yoga, having fruit smoothies and listening to zen music. After that I will prepare breakfast and head for the office. By around 9AM I will have accomplished more than most people do in a day.
lel. you have some major sexual issues. its his movement and control of his body...thinking outside the box. i would not be surprised if more people/fighters start incorporating fluid movement
i could watch this all day, i love the way he moves and would love to do a video on meeting him on day, the way he moves at the beginning with ido moving his shoulders and hips is very similar to what we train in wingtsun. he will smash diaz at 202
keep looking. different people do different methods. I'd try to figure out what the hell dominic cruz is doing, i remember hearing him explain it on a video before.
This type of corporal moviments, based in capoeira, aerobics and fluid stuff works when you have bases. Gregor is a karate specialist, with good boxing skills, these type of training refines the fighter but does not work alone.
The simple fact that you can go on any mcgregor video posted and scroll through the comments to see haters spilling their feelings all over the page is proof that he had a greater impact on the sport than any of them would publicly recognize. They're still all so happy he got beat once because they were so mad he beat Aldo. The desperation in their attempts to talk shit is hilarious.
+iiDefied we like his fighting but not his attitude.. he talks about respect and he gives non.. its really frustrating to watch any fighter talk like that.. especially someone that known to society and considered by kids a role model.. imagine if all the kids/people looking up to him acted like that.. 1 month ago we were in a tournament and a guy acted exactly like him, every single person in the arena wanted him to lose.. he was an excellent fighter really.. but he was not respected because he gave no respect.. in the eyes of many people Conor is an asshole and a bully.. why do you think anderson silva was loved by everyone.. he was polite/kind/nice.. we are martial artists not monkeys.. we have the obligation to behave in an honorable manner.. its an obligation regardless on what you think.. and we dont care if he wants to sell the fights or get in his opponent head.. do you act like he does in your fights?
fucking like this video. every time i watch it i get a huge motivation to go further, even if i tired as fuck on a work and so on. Conor is the one of the best fighters in the world nowadays. Wish him best regards and luck in his next fights. KEEP IT UP CONOR. From Russia!
Conner is an absolute legend. He deserves to be champion. They also need to make a better doco of him. The film quality and editing in this one is amatuer as fuck, but appreciate it captures some pretty important footage of his rise to fame.
I'm a huge huge McGregor fan so here's some tough love. If you want to defeat someone at Mayweather's caliber in a boxing ring you need to improve your cardio and speed a lot more. Heck you're in your 20s but get winded after 2 rounds in the UFC. Cardio, cardio, cardio. you cannot rely on your amazing talent and punch because Mayweather is also talented and can throw, and take, a punch - but he can last for 12 Fing rounds!
Many users here burst comments that "this is 100% real training" etc. Why the fuck do you think that way? Do you really think this is it, it's the full training? No, it's not. I'm an MMA fighter, but I asked my trainer not to give me tournaments and all that, because I wan't to do it for myself, alone. All I can say, this is maybe 40% of the training that he does, believe me or not - that's true as hell. I've experienced this situation in real life, but sticked into dude's face the real training program and he stayed quiet, respectful. Don't hate Conor, - respect what he is doing. He was nothing, lower than a 0. He did it for himself, he got out of his comfort zone every training and worked his skin off. The hard work paid off and now he's here. It's not just a "talent", nobody is born as a boxer. Champions are not born, they are made. I'm not a big fan of him, but I'm a big fan of his work. He is machine.
Amazing movements.İt is like a movie it is real MMA.That McGregor we loved but now he change.i think he never be again like past)).He has everything now just enjoy your life legend
he tried a few but realized it used up too much energy and his range wasn't right he just couldn't figure nate out his style was something he hadn't faced before, that's why he is so focused on training right now he understands he is fighting a taller longer striker with all around skills..

You don't watch Connor cause he's one more BJJ guy, or that he's the best out there, but because the unusual fighting style/training, along with his character - some fresh air in MMA. Will it work? It worked fine till Diaz, wiped out an entire division. Is Connor fighting style superior to BJJ? As we saw, not, but he's evolving and it's entertaining to watch his fights.
Yeah, I agree. BJJ was the last move. However, the point was that he is interesting to watch, that was all. Don't get me wrong, I like watching Diaz too. Stockton Slap? Anytime.
His movement and flow state is beautiful. I get a lot of you hate him but please don’t deny that this man’s striking is art.
love his loose relaxed style , speed , accuracy , power and reflexes on point .
Now THIS is the Conor McGregor we all know and love.
Davis K. All good strikers never take their eyes off the opponent, can't hit something you can't see
Stuart milne except for Conor McGregor in that last training session in front of the crowd, and yeah i know it was preconceived but still lol
That body control is amazing
Imagine playing GTA and spotting Conor training on Venice Beach, now that would be a realistic game :P

The most amazing thing about this video is, the amount of random places he trains
Conor McGregor that type of guy who finds a ball and trains with it.
heizeNn - YT there's tons of ways to use a ball to train for fighting, it's a very common tool
Sam Deddens Ikr but just saying he is amazing, training whenever he has time with anything he finds xd
I dont like conor mcgregor but you gotta respect what hes done for the ufc and the fighters.
And what he's accomplished
He is brought in more fans from the general population. He knocked out Jose Aldo who I thought was invincible. 2cents :)
hes a world champion numb nuts
zippy t noo i wasnt bashing conor at all i was adding to the original saying you cant leave out his accomplishments when discussing his impact on the sport
+Paul Monroe Sorry....I misunderstood
He does a lot of shadow boxing and close combat exercises, which is great for reading and counter attacking opponents.
JayZoop yes he's a strategist afterall
conor brought mma to another level,,he is a living legend already.
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
true conor is king of ufc
he is good , but not a legend , he just has a good marketing publisher.
victor bolaños tbh I've never seen any fighter that focuses like Connor. when he used his left to counter, you can see the amount of training and passion that he has

If you honestly believe that then place a large bet on him. I'm betting against him like last time. Conor losing is making me rich.
I'm assuming the pool noodle is meant to simulate the Stockton slap
Most complete fighter on the world!!!brilliant skills, strong as x man, craizy and brave!!!Great Mr. Conor.
Is he efficient enough with his energy, though?
must be like water. pour into cup it becomes the cup. if i pour diaz on mcgregor he becomes a rear naked choke
😅😅😅😅
+Nicklas Englund He was definitely better than Diaz, obviously. Nate was just more efficient with his energy.
depends on the brainfarts he's letting off before the fight...
+Red chomp i think the answer you are looking for is PENIS
Conor is my fave but the fact that he bumps such dope hip hop makes him even cooler!

+Stephen Sinclair he did lmao did you even watch the fight fam?
why does he scream fight every time he strikes ? is it to breath out and hit or has it another function , if any at all ???
