    Certainly. Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) are popular for long-term investments due to their diversified nature. ETFs offer exposure to a wide range of assets, such as stocks, bonds, or commodities, which can help reduce risk. Some top choices for long-term investing include broad market index ETFs, sector-specific ETFs, and bond ETFs, as they provide potential for growth and income over an extended period while minimizing the risk associated with individual stocks.

He went fully into an S&P 500 index fund by vangaurd , not VOO but the mutual fund version VFIAX. he felt like he was not going to catch up and he did at age 53. He has plenty to retire but he loves work and of course providing for his children. Long story short, you are in a great position because most people start investing I’d say at 28-35 that’s NOT a 401k. I like the growth allocation, just reevaluate your strategy every 3-5 years!

Things thing I did not get from your presentation for retirees are how to invest your savings and how to uses your savings to supliment your incomev by age if you needed to increase your monthly income. Depending on the amount af money you have and the need to supliment your income will make a diffence in the allocations of your money. If you have less money and you need income, a larger portion of your portfolio needs to be invested in higher yielding ETFs, with less or even decreasing NAV. Why care if your Nav goes down if you wont outlive your investment, unless you want to make your kids happy. 😄

      I would choose between either VUG and SCHG. I’m a bigger fan of SCHG. XLK is a pretty aggressive etf so you’re good in terms of growth in my opinion. Cut schd to 10% max and use the other 5 to VOO. That’s what i would do. (Not financial advise). Depending on your individual stock gains to not incur a taxable event, you could hold them or just sell and use it for the ETFs. But some aren’t at all time highs like Tesla and JNJ for example so maybe hold those.

    Great video as always. 🔥 I am curious though, why do you use different Growth ETFs and Dividend ETFs between your Roth IRA and your taxable brokerage account?

    • @Marcos_Milla
      @Marcos_Milla  7 месяцев назад

      Good question! For a Roth you can only do 7k a year in contributions and in a taxable account you can do unlimited of course. So the reason why I have QQQM in the taxable is because I’m a huge NASDAQ-100 believer so I have it there and schg is in the Roth because i want tax free advantages when I retire in the Roth and schg includes growth stocks that are not in the nasdaq so I use schg as my diversifying play because I love other growth stocks from the NYSE. So that’s why for growth. For dividend ETFs same thing, I know it’s better to have the higher dividend yield in the Roth but I just know over time I’m going to have more to schd and less to dgro over time. Right now I own more dgro. So i just protect the dividend income and growth in the Roth. Traditionally you want dividends stocks to at least go in a Roth but my schd position is so small compared to my dgro position so I’m going to get more dividends from dgro and I would not like to pay taxes on that income so it’s in a Roth.

      I will definitely do this. Considering a video on how to build a portfolio step by step like the best brokers, how to choose a fund, how to buy and then reallocate. What if your 43 with no kids or wife? Can you start with #2

      Not financial advise but if I was 43 with no kids or wife I would do. The 50% foundational 30% to growth and 20% to dividends. Just my personal opinion if I was in the same shoes.

    What are the best ETF to invest in for someone that’s 55 years of age? Thank you. Comments are welcome.

      Depends on your risk tolerance and time horizon. Target date funds are great at this age. If it’s a long time horizon (5+ years at least) I like broad market ETFs and dividend ETFs.

      Isn't she the same Mrs Mary Gail Benner that my neighbors are talking about, she has to be a perfect expect for people to talk about her so well.

      High amount of bonds. I’m assuming you have a short time horizon or very low risk. Love the core of the mutual fund of SWTSX and then mixing in some international, dividend, & growth
