I passed on MMCs Deathsaurus after preordering because I went ahead and grabbed the Planet X one, and who really needs 2 Deathsaurus figs.... but daamn this thing is spectacular! I'm a huge MMC fan, and like you I appreciate that their transformations don't require an afternoon and halftime for lunch, lol! But seriously, now I'm thinking I need this....Arrrrrgh! Nice review!
crazy how everyone is nutting over the haslab deathsaurus when this mmc figure is by far much better in all aspects. That shot of the three big bads together is awesome and must be the centerpiece of your collection! Keep them vids coming boss!
I kinda get the haslab hype cus the figure unlike the Planet X and mmc isn’t trying to be idw accurate but instead g1 accurate. And tbh the figure actually looks pretty good for a g1 deathsaurus.
Great review as always, and man these MMC figures look so great! I only have one which is the Nemesis Prime recolor of Optus Pexus (amazing figure) and watching your reviews really make me want to get more of them. Starting with Tarn and perhaps that Deathsaurus which just looks so good.
Any Mmc figure is always an easy recommend for their 10/10 sculpt work, paint, engineering, and materials. Cus to this day I still haven’t picked up a figure of theirs I can call bad.

I was going to get the MMC Deathsaurus but then Hasbro unveiled the HasLab version and I jumped on that. If MMC ever releases a red version based on Red Geist from Brave I will preorder it immediately.
Hey Jib, would you ever consider reviewing the Planet X star saber, even though it's not usually grouped in your "comment if you want me to review" them bit? I really love the figure but I kinda despised how Saber was written in IDW, so I kinda just headcanon him to have TF: Victory's Saber personality
I actually got the Continuum version of the figure since its semi-G1 aesthetic appealed to me a bit more, not to mention I missed out on the Haslab figure too. I don't regret my purchase a single bit.
Me too, I waited for that version because he also had the Eagle and he matched better with my MP Star Saber, however this figure's Lion looks better with the golden plastic, the only thing where the Haslabs surpasses MMCs Deathsaurus is the gun and the Lion becoming a bow.

I went ahead and got both planet x and mmc releases. They both have their own positives and negatives about them but really it all comes down to looks i think. The mmc mold however does work well for doubledealer.
I haven’t read anything idw but I LOVE it even more then the bay-verse(which you can obviously tell is one of my favorites because you know named my whole GODDAMN account after the bay-verse fallen) the story great and the characters design’s AMAZING their so new and fresh looking and deathsaurus is one of my favorites(right behind nickel as tiny angry woman amusing) also why do mastermind creations always make the most FIRE shit.
Dude you’re gonna love the idw2005 universe cus to this day I still haven’t seen a tf movie or show push the story telling potential of this franchise like the comics
Mmc dzef's robot mode is the best robot mode for deathsaurus. Planet x ismenios' bird mode is the best bird mode for deathsaurus. The hasbro one is falls a bit short in both categories, but has a ton of accessories. All deathsaurus are at least good in all aspects, so deathsaurus simply has no bad figure right now. Different flavors of ice cream are still ice cream
Ong it’s pretty wild see deathsaurus go from having no figures a couple years ago to having three different yet equally amazing figures with a larger 3rd party masterpiece version coming from X transbots soon
ended up picking up the continuum version of this guy a bit ago and he has not disappointed in the slightest yeah it's a g1 stylized version of an idw robot but i don't care the wings look better and it's a nicer shade of blue so i'd say it was more than worth it
IDW got me to love these characters. I like the look of both the MMC and Planet X but build quality and engineering MMC will always win out. Both blow away the Hasbro crowd funded CHUG version that let's face it it should've been a Commander figure by losing a couple accessories. All those IDW bots together looks amazing. My new favorite name for breast master's, little titty bots 😂😂

Deathsaurus is actually the second reformatted release with diecast, the first being the rather unfortunately terrible insecticon 3-pack
