    As allways here the prices of new released gpu,cpu or other components are higher.
    We cannot benefit of lower prices like in the rest of the countryies.
    Our salaries are not in 💶,and most of us have, if we convert in euro 500-800 income per month.

  • @syncmonism

    Inflation has been higher than normal in the last three years, and that's at least mostly not AMD's fault. The dollar isn't worth as much as it used to be, like it or not.
    A lot of people are comparing pricing of the new cards to the current and heavily discounted prices of the previous gen 6000 series, not realizing that those cards are only priced that way so that they can remain competitive with the new generation cards (such as the RTX 4070 which already released a few months ago).
    The 6800 XT was 650 USD when it launched in 2020, which is equivalent to about 770 USD today, so the 7800 XT is more than 33% cheaper, with about the same performance, and that's more than a 50% improvement in performance per dollar.
    However, it's arguably more appropriate to compare the 7800 XT to the 6700 XT, or to whatever the best value cards of the previous generation were. The 6700 XT launched at 480 USD in early 2021, and that's equivalent to about 540 USD today. The 7800 XT is 43% faster, has 33% more Vram, a lot more memory bandwidth, the quality of the coolers seems to be better on most models, and there are also some additional benefits of the new architecture, and for a LOWER price if you adjust for inflation. However, the 6700 XT was probably originally planned to launch at a lower price than that, likely very close to 430, which is equivalent to about 485 USD today.
    500 USD today is equivalent to about 420 USD in 2019, when the 5700 XT first launched at 400 USD, and was widely praised as offering very good value at the time. The 7800 XT is about 90% faster, and has double the Vram.
    Progress in value is definitely still happening. The rate of progress is definitely slowing, and we should definitely be as critical as possible toward these companies, their products, and their pricing, but, if you want to make an argument that the price of a product is too high, you have to use accurate information and sound arguments.
    It also sucks that average incomes haven't kept pace with inflation, and I think we can give some portion of blame to AMD for their role in that, but it's primarily not their fault, not unless Lisa Su is even more of a mad genius than we already know she is, and she's somehow secretly controlling the global economy XD XD XD

With the 5700x3D being $205 and the 5800x3D being $297 right now (in my area at least) I'd honestly recommend going with the 5700x3D because there is very minimal performance difference between the two and the 5700x3D is excellent value for the dollar. I'm currently running a 5600x but I personally don't want to spend out extra on my build to max out AM4 when I can just wait and spend it on the new, much faster, and much more upgradeable AM5 in the near future. That's my own opinion with my own situation. Idk what CPU you're running or what situation you're in

    • @XxNewmilleniumxX
      @XxNewmilleniumxX 23 дня назад

      Yes and most games it only scores around 4-10% Better fps than than the 7800xt but its an older architecture, it doesn't support av1 encoding, it cannot upscale media videos, it uses more power, games will be more optimized with rdn3 and on top of all of this you would be hard pressed to find a 6950 new at this day and age we are in. Right now you can get a 6950xt for around 550$ and that is used where as in the 7800xt came down in price to around 450$. Right now in this week and on 7/30/24 You can get a 700gre for around the same price of a 6950xt and its newer tech and frankly I would never recommend older tech at that price point. The 6950 is comparable to the 4070 the same way the 7800xt is at this day and age seeing that drivers are mostly stabilizing and optimizing mainly the 7k series. In around a years time most new titles will benefit the 7k series more than the 6k series. The 6800 and 6800xt will go out as legends and the rest will be just meh, ok. The same way how when the 7k series end the 7800xt and 7900gre will go out as legends.

      Is a more than 50% improvement in performance per dollar only a modest improvement from one generation to the next?
      Inflation has been higher than normal in the last three years, and that's at least mostly not AMD's fault. The dollar isn't worth as much as it used to be, like it or not.
      People are also comparing pricing of the new cards to the current and heavily discounted prices of the previous gen 6000 series, not realizing that those cards are only priced that way so that they can remain competitive with the new generation cards (such as the RTX 4070 which already released a few months ago).

    • @PineyJustice
      @PineyJustice 11 месяцев назад

      Around 500$ is midrange now. GPUs were always 1-2 nodes behind latest to save money back in the day, but competition has caused gpus to release on newer and newer nodes with the nvidia 40 series being on cutting edge node, n5 is still a very new node itself in these rx7000 cards. Every node under 14nm is using EUV which basically doubles/triples costs. Being able to build a solid midtier pc for around 1500$ has pretty much always been the case and it's the rare exception rather than the rule on this. The only exceptions to a good midrange enthusiast build being 1000-1500$ are when there was heavy stagnation on CPU or GPU side and things became a price fight

      Everyone knows that AMD gpus are behind in Ray tracing and are not as good as Nvidia counterparts, not like most people use ray tracing anyways. If you undervolt your 7800XT properly you can get the same wattage if not less than a 4070 and only lose a miniscule amount of performance. 7800XT has more vram and most models give you Starfield premium for free. As for productivity the 4070 will be better in that regard. Also the 7800XT has more vram. So I would only recommend getting a 4070 if you really need those Nvidia features. Other than that 7800XT Is the better bang for your buck.

    Wdym? I’ve got both 7800xt and 4070 super. The 4070 super outperforms the 7800 xt in every game without upscaling and frame generation, and it’s even further ahead when RT is enabled. The 4070 super is 20% more money for 20%-30% more performance. If the 4070 super had more vram, it’d be card of the generation.
