I was looking for a tutorial about keeping shadows and all of them were long, boring and complicated. And then there's this guy with a such positive vibe a less than 4 min video that taught me what I wanted to learn. Great job, what a underrated channel!
OMG I have spent hours trying to figure this out with countless tutorials and none of them have been as good as this. PLEASE DO MORE! please please please
Nice quick tutorial but couple of things to point out: when doing adjustments, please show the area to be affected in your video, not just the menu. Also perspective: the shadow doesn't bend when hitting the wall. And at the end when showing more examples the shadow is cut out all together. Feels a bit incomplete but due to the vids length I'd say it's sufficient
Hello, thank you for sharing. I am just starting on Photoshop. I couldn't move the object the same way you moved the can since it's telling me "Could not move the selection because the pixels in a group cannot be edited without merging the group." Is there a step to add without merging the group ? Also I was trying to keep some reflection in addition to the shadow but when I've reach the point of adjusting the levels it didn't work out. What would be the steps to use this method for reflections ?
Thanks Jacob for such a quick and great video. You go so fast when you fill the new bg layer with white, I wonder how you did that step? I have another (much longer) method to create a new background but that looks way better...I'm sure it is so easy...I wonder if you could clarify that. Otherwise great and thanks for posting...
just want to fill in that thanks to your tutorials I'm confident enough to start taking on clients. I usually only work with events, artists in the music industry and wedding videography!
I was watching and doing at the same time, and hoping finally i would know how to change background color, and you just said " make it white" howww???? I was hoping you will show where to choose background colors.....
Your product photography is very beautiful but if you have any editing work in photoshop you can definitely work with us we are professional photo editing company

Excellent video ! Good job ! But how can i put a background color on layer at this minute 1:46 ? U made it a little to fast! Thank u for the video.
Photoshop needs to make an easier way to do this.
Tell me about it. 💀
I'd be curious how you make the two tone background like in your examples! (this might be easy, I am new to photoshop :) )

I have 300 of these products, I need a much quicker way
For me is very complicated.
Another video with too loud music. Guys, you are paid for that music to be loud?
It was good tutorial but dont act a lot and when you want to explain just talk when you are creating shadow don't show your face tnx.
Clearly you are good in Ps, but your video is very loud and iritating.
