Hey Carlos. I had Nissen surgery in 2018. Your videos are the only thing I have found that has made me feel like I am not crazy and not alone. The gas and bloating situation I have to deal with every day has literally ruined my life. I try not to be bitter but I went from happy and social to a sad recluse.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!
I had a Toupe Fundoplication and hiatal hernia repair 4 months ago. Dysphagia only when I ate too fast or something too chunky.
I had reactive hypoglycemia (Not fun, but has dissipated), gas & bloating is ridiculous, but is better now. I use Gas-X if I’m in public just to cover myself. JUST started drinking soda again, hallelujah! Love my bubbles! I used to be constipated all the time, now I go 2-4x a day.
My surgeon used a tube down the esophagus before doing the wrap, so that the opening was a perfect size.
I used to aspirate stomach acid and food at night. As soon as I fell asleep, it would regurgitate. I slept at a 45 degree angle with a reflux pillow for years, but even that did not help. I could not eat for 5-6 hours before bed. Pretty sure I have ruined my lungs from the frequent acid aspiration. SO awful. I am still having fatigue and sore muscles, shortness of breath…need to get in to my PCP for some tests.
Dr Leena Khaitan at University Hospitals , Cleveland. She’s the bomb!💣

I am suffering from chronic acid reflux due to weak LES and a minor hiatal hernia. After doing my research, I decided to do Stertta, if it fails then I will simply do it again, and if that fails I will do linx but I will not change the anatomy of my stomach to end up getting worse than before. I am in the process of doing my tests before I go for the procedure.

This field and illness isn’t researched and improved enough through time because alone the fact that the main procedure fundoplicatio was developed in the year 1956 is insane. I had the linx installed back in April of 2017. It’s been a miracle at times but sort’ve like you every time I get sick my reflux comes back full force and it takes about a week or more for it to start working the way it should. I always have minor dysphasia but I will gladly take that vs chronic reflux like I used to have. I noticed when I go lower carb it helps me out tremendously. I want to go full carnivore to help aid in my gut problems because I feel like I wrecked my gut ever since I was a kid with terrible diet. I’ll go low carb for a while and feel better but then slip up and just gorge on carbs thinking I’m better and reflux hits me like a truck in the process.

I didn’t really have that much before Covid but ever since I had the virus back in December 2020 my difficulty swallowing has gotten a lot worse after my first meal.
