Hi Carlos, in some people migraines manifest as vertigo. My migraines always come with extreme stomach acidity. When I vomit out the acid, the headache resolves immediately. The migraines are triggered by certain foods, or supplements. I’m still not sure if the acid causes the migraine, or vice-versa. Hope this helps you in some way.

I have been having symptoms for over a year, however the last 6 months have been hell with daily symptoms (regurgitation, shortness of breath, tight chest, indigestion, constant belching, teeth erosion,insomnia,etc) that is not alleviated by any of the PPIs and H2 Blockers, as well as diet changes,etc. I have tried homeopathy (with no improvement) as well as osteopathy (which made it worse). Endoscopy showed mild gastritis and I’m having a manometry and 24h ph monitoring soon but I would like to have the Linx if elegible. I’m in my early 30s and quality of life has decreased massively. I had to start my contrast the night before! I don't know why but Tbh I hardly drank it. I've heard you really don't need to drink nearly as much as they tell you to drink. They always give more than you need because if they give you the exact amount they know some people will still say they can't drink it all. Plus they don't personalize it for someone who is 6"5 versus someone who is 5"4. Etc. I was told not to eat within 4 hours of my imaging and to eat a very light breakfast. I was also told to drink 6 glasses of water the day before to help reduce renal impact since contrast is excreted by the kidneys. And after my exam I will be drinking a ton of water to get this stuff out of me ASAP 😂 I'm in the group of people that doesn't like imaging but you're right that the sooner you find a problem the better the chance to treat it.

Why did you have it removed? 😢 I just had it. Still having some dysphagia but i obly 10 days post-op. I had no reflux after surgery but it is still hard to get used to the new stomach, it is much smaller i feel and i want time to pass to eat normally. My doctor said at least for two weeks i might feel some dysphagia so i need to only eat blended food. I live in a small Eastern European country, there is only Nissen available here, nothing else. I had no choice, ppi for life or surgery.

I regret fundoplication surgery. This has changed my anatomy for the rest of my life. I simply changed one symptom for another. I have lost my appetite and my ability to swallow in a normal fashion, often times getting food stuck in my esophagus. I have gas and bloating daily. Have gone to emergency twice. I should have waited. Had I known I would have forgone the Surgery

Thanks for sharing. I have had very similar issues for the last 3 years. My dysphasia and throat problems became so severe that I was spitting out food before complete swallows and was convinced I had a neurological problem. However my doctors also think it is connected to my GERD type issues. I have found drinking only bottled water with PH 8 or above has helped a bit as well as sleeping with a wedge pillow and bed risers. I go through periods of 50% remission, as well as acute periods where eating is so difficult that I lose 20-25 pounds in two months. I know it can be so scary but I hope you will get answers soon. I am praying for you!

Hey bro it’s me again. Are you on antidepressants? Because If you snore that can cause xerostomina. I would suggest that you wear a mask or a flexible snore strap. And do you have ADD? Let me know if you’ve tried that because it works for me. I got a burning sensation in my esophagus like 24/7. Eating at least 2600 cal a day helps a lot with the discomfort.

So should I just live with reflux ? These surgeries sound horrible.
