- In this series I will take you through a step by step build of the Airfix 1/72 De Havilland Mosquito PRXVI kit.
Aimed at beginners, I hope to show lots of simple tips and tricks to boost the confidence of less experienced modellers, and to maybe add some polish for the more accomplished. Lots of detail, and yes, lots of talking! In part three I show the use of a pin wash and some drybrushing to the interior, and add the instrument panel decal.

And a huge thank you to you Jen for showing the importance of a subtle application of wash and dry brushing. I’m guilty of following the 1990s lessons of dry-brushing (more like scrubbing) a cockpit to death. 😂
Thank you so much 😍🙏👍👏🌹
Nice work!
Great video. Off to make a start on mine now (feeling very inspired :-) )
Cool model. 🛩
Good morning Jen 🙂
Thanks very much for this "Modelling for Beginners" series, I can always use refresher courses on the basics of the hobby.
Vallejo Model Air paint is perfect for brush painting straight out the bottle. I have found the need to thin it for airbrushing. Thanks again for this series, enjoying it very much and hope to see you on the IMC soon, Jim
Nice one. Thanks for sharing.
Coming along nicely Jen, the wash segment was good to see, I've been using MIG washes for a while now and I still picked up some useful info from you in how to use them better. Thanks!
Hi Jen, loving this build along. The Mig wash segment where you explain about it separating and being of no use, does this happen to pre mixed oil wash's? I have some I used last night that just seemed to fade to nothing when it had dried.
I don't have any premixed oil wash, so I can't say with any certainty. It definitely seems to happen to all the AMMO enamel washes I've had. I have some old Mig Productions enamel washes that are as good as the day they were bought still, and the AK stuff seems to fare better too.
