I remember the 1976 season in which he almost lost his life, but recovered enough to make the season’s ending one I will remember as long as I can. All of the team paint their car…wrap is not an option because it will disturb the aero since they’re thicker and can’t be fix like what they can do with paint fixing prosedure etc.
It's honestly pretty dumb. These aren't show cars, these aren't even street cars - these are cars that race wheel-to-wheel, any paint job is going to get screwed up. And then you have to go through the extra time and expense to repaint things if there's a sponsor change. Pretty much just a needlessly wasteful choice; I mean, you always hear the FIA talk about cutting costs and what not, mandating wraps over paint would be a pretty good one.

Who would have thought that the generally black Mercedes is one of the most painted and best looking cars on the grid this year? Mclaren and Alpine visiting the sticker shop and looking like a teenager's skateboard compared to this.
This year livery reminds me a bit of the vodaphone era mclare livery but having the teal instead of the red (maybe the previous one, the one with the names of the drivers on the sides), and since it's one of my fav liveries period i can say you've done a good job
Can we see how they repair it between sessions away from factory and keep it in tip top shape what compromises they need to make to do this and how they going around damage scuffs marks etc
Dark color of paint has more density than light colors , for eg Water has a density of 1 kg / litre. Paint is generally denser than water so if your paint has a density of 1.5 kg / litre then the mass of paint will be 1.5 kg. , what is the weight of car before and after paint .... if titanium white pigment is used which pretty heavy .... just a small observation from my side ...

Imagine these guys paint the car to the max details and knowing it will crashed or chipped asap it down to the track. And they also need to makes serveral wings and aero for each season.
I assume the car is painted component by component rather than all at once. F1 cars run into things frequently enough that more or less every exterior part needs multiple spares, right?

How does vinyl wrap compare to paint from a weight perspective? I recall McLaren using them over paint.
The W15 looks decent, but I'd prefer ether full black or full silver, not the mix (plus the green highlights)
They use Keyshot for the development CAD renders?
inb4 the FIA puts in a mandatory minimum paint/decal weight to stop all cars from just being bare carbon
