You deserve far more subs man. Supreme content and editing. You earned my sub.
If someone's wondering: The soundtrack/mashup at the beginning is: "Delfino Plaza (OST Version) - Super Mario Sunshine" by SiIvaGunner
(Dunno what I was thinking when I wrote Title Theme instead of Delfino Plaza)
It's actually "Delfino Plaza (OST Version)" and the composer is Koji Kondo.
@@ElJuanoVideos Sorry, I meant Delfino Plaza
BTW, the ripper is "Blookerstein"
Juano ya did a nice video about obscure consoles it wasnt only about rare consoles it was also about video game history
Thank you so much mate. Please stay tunes because I'm thinking of doing a sequel, since there are a lot more that I want to share with you in the future!
There are certainly a plethora of video game consoles and handhelds out there. Some were lucky to sell a 100,000, let alone the millions that every system from the big three manage with all their systems. Nice to see forgotten systems get a chance to shin through a video like this.
2:53 - Fun to see you classify the Nokia N-Gage as well known enough to not need a section for discussion in this video.
3:27 - That's a problem for a lot of the systems though. They can manage to sell over a million systems, feats the Lynx and N-Gage had, but their success gets dwarfed when compared to a singular titan like the Game Boy. It's like how the GameCube is considered a failure at time because it sold less than it's predecessor and less than both the PS2 and Xbox... despite how the GameCube sold over 20 million.
3:50 - I knew a fair things about Tiger's Gamecom but I'm surprised to hear it was so cheap. Perhaps they could have upped the price to afford better hardware for actually running the games on it.
6:03 - Handheld system makers were really obsessed with their TV Tuners back then. NEC did at least have one advantage with their TurboExpress and that was their Hu-Cards. It was easier to translate the Hu-Cards of the PC Engine/TurboGrafx over to a handheld compared to when Sega tried to do a similar thing later with the Sega Nomad, and had you inserting the far bulkier Mega Drive cartridges into a portable device.
7:53 - I love this being brought up about the Supervision; the Switch before the Switch. It's an oddly charming handheld which tried some neat little tricks to give it an edge whilst aiming for that cheaper price point. Rather funny that it's solution to it's cheap and poor screen was to simply let you play the handheld on a TV.
10:58 - Yeah, the Gizmondo story is wild with crazier and crazier turns every step of the way. The handheld itself gets overshadowed by all the events surrounding it.
11:52 - I think you may be getting the Cadette Vision and it's successor, the Super Casette Vision a little jumbled up with some of the pricing and release dates but it's great to see it getting a mention.
16:06 - More wierd and lesser known gaming systems getting some spotlight would be awesome. I consider myself decently knowledgeable on these obscurer systems existence but every now and again I still manage to hear about a handheld or console I'd never knew about.
You should have many more subscribers dude. You upload better content than most tech channels
Wasn't the Fairchild Channel F the first console to use interchangeable ROM cartridges?
Great video!
More Channel F please.
I'd like to know more about consoles that are exclusive in Japan as it looks like there are a lot that didn't get a global release
My dude, you've just given me an amazing idea!
* writes it down furiously*
Stay tuned, I'll make it happen.
No Memorex VIS in list?
No, but what about a second part? 👀
