Youth in Pain - Solutions for Effective, Safe and Equitable Medical Use of Opioids for Pain in Youth

This webinar will provide an overview of Solutions for Kids in Pain’s recent Health Canada-funded initiative mobilizing evidence-based solutions for the medical use of opioids to address acute and chronic pain in youth. Including partners with lived experience, speakers involved in the project will introduce newly developed tools and resources for families and health professionals (available in English and in French) developed in partnership with organizations such as the Canadian Paediatric Society, the Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario, l’Association d’Anémie Falciforme du Québec, ISMP Canada, the Canadian Centre for Substance Use and Addiction, and the Canadian Dental Association, among others. The webinar will share the national project's impact across our activities, and alignment of the new opioid-related resources to the recently published national health standard for Pediatric Pain Management (CAN/HSO: 13200:2023).
