Do you work for Magix and or Vegas?
No I do not. I am, however, affiliated with them, which means
I get the software for free and get a kick back if someone buys through my link.
Why do you like VEGAS so much?
It's the right price; it's really powerful; it's ahead of the game sometimes.
How did you learn Vegas?
I've been doing video production since middle school, and in Highschool I started using Movie Studios to edit with. I went to College for Video Production Tech and weren’t happy with the “industry standard” editors I used there. I’ve used VEGAS ever since.

Super Big Thanks to My Patrons that I forgot to list in the end screen like a dope including Sweaty Brow Hiking and Matthew
! You guys rock!
Thank you! I've always wanted to know how to automatically pan audio clips instead of having to chop the same audio clip all the time.
Interesting! While I've never edited for 5.1, I did find this interesting!
Thanks for posting. Learned a few things here. Had to go into Vegas to confirm what you were saying regarding the pan control. Thought it just adjusted the relative volumes of left and right, but as you say, it actually will move one side to the other when panned to the sides. (My test had music on one channel and a voice on the other.) I think when you were demonstrating the surround adjustments, you were adjusting one track while looking at the keyframes of another.
It's actually a jump cut to the correct settings. I did have the problem in the extended take haha
don't have 7.1 audio??
How would I isolate the center channel with a 5.1 audio?
you can set each track to handle one speaker. So you set the track to center
In a video project.... if i mix for surround, can i render it to an mp4 which will contain my 5.1 mix ? for computer delivery so that people playing it on a computer which has a home theater connected will 'hear' the mix ? If no then which file type can i render to so that it will contain the 5.1 audio all in 1 file (without separate audio track files getting rendered etc) like a normal video rendered file.
Go to customize settings in thr codec you want before you render to see if that's an option
@@TechDiveAVCLUB Thanks....
In 500gb capacity.....which one would be best among these 3 (as a 4K edit drive)...
1) WD SN550.
2) SAMSUNG 980.
3) SAMSUNG 970 Evo Plus.
Only to store 1 current project and edit it and then flush it out for the next project kinda.
OBS filter your audio please. Great tutorial otherwise.
But these surround mix would only work on cinema rooms or a viewer who has surround system or surround supported headphones right?
Yes
