i just got into ac6 a month ago and this patch is a godsend to my build specifically like i loved being a lightweight duckets user and half of the parts used just look great so i was already using them even tho they werent optimal. FromSoft did this just for me
The buff to my Pilebunker build is much appreciated. It's not terribly meta, but I live for the noise it makes; that's literally the only reason Fromsoft will have to pry it from my cold, dead hands. I'm already formulating some changes to it.
I have to personally thank you. I've been playing since release and I never gave much thought to optimizing my builds untill I saw the added notes you put with every part and you inspired me to try out new parts I would never have thought of trying before. You really opened my mind man😂
This was an incredibly informative video, especially the part about FCS performance. I've been seeing a lot of people on Reddit complain about the Zimmerman not getting nerfed, but I was 100% sure that it was indirectly weakened by the other rebalances surrounding combat range - and the Ocellus nerf seems to prove that right. But I had no idea a 10% decrease in performance meant DOUBLE the lock-on time. I really wish the game made it more clear how those stats affect your performance, because the lock speed table you showed is a godsend for understanding those mechanics, thank you for this video.
Oh thank god, stat info that isn't in a twenty mile long reddit thread or a 3 hour in depth overview. Its been kinda hard to get into pvp semi competitively because I don't want to spend hours studying patch notes and meta builds like a religion, keep it up the good work :)
The laser pistols are my favorite weapon in this game. Beat all missions with them and use them in PvP sometimes. With that being said I only use the charge shot when it triggers by accident I wish they would remove it.
I'm relieved that this patch was geared towards giving lightweights more survivability in the meta, its literally the only thing i was hoping for! I personally dont like the fact that nacht legs got shot... The reason why you'd see lightwieghts using nothing but them is that none of the other options were worth considering, i wish they'd just buff the other legs more, But i am pleased that this does give a more distinct variety between going full CQC or full kite. Edit: Also PLEASE from soft PLEASE I'm begging you to buff my rifle babies! They need love too!😢
the fact that the iridium is still lighter than the ludlow is a crime. It may not be meta, but it's a hell of a back pocket option in 3v3 and PvE for lightweights
Its a little weird to compare the iridium grenade launchers to the therapists imo. But I think takes like that arise from the misconception that every change in the patch was pvp oriented. On the contrary, I feel that most of the changes (particularly those made to energy weapons) are geared towards pve more than pvp.
They both shoot the same way. I think Therapists also have better tracking for some reason, but I could be wrong. How would you say it was PVE oriented? I'm curious to know your thoughts.
@@MobiGeeksOut Wdym? The therapist fires fast moving arcing projectiles, and doesnt stance you when you fire. The iridium is fires a large, slow moving projectile in a straight line and stances you when you fire, just like the Gou Chen or the Dizzy. I think youre confusing the iridium with the napalm and smoke launchers, which do fire the same way as the therapist.
Where is AORTA then? I think it should be updated (having buff on capacity, recharge, supply, and output) so that players can use AORTA too, having lighter weight than Yaba, VP-20C, and MING-TANG
The playstyle of using two iridiums between 200-240 meters is pretty good now with the reaload buffs still a Bad weapons but it's a fun playstyle. At least on wheelchair
I am all for light weights finally carving themselves some space in the meta, and I can deffinitely tell a lot of people are excited for the second coming of BVO. But personally the BVO (Or DuckBlade as people call the new variant) are builds I do not enjoy facing due to how fast they are and how fast they can stagger you for that melee execute. Meaning a build either has to have the maneuverability to avoid their short range or put the fear of god in them with something that matches their kill threath. Just my 2 cents, have your fun y'all
The LW CQC excitement will die down when they learn duckblade is still superior on defense gouged Midweight and the best lw build by a huge margin is rifle kite on natch
Remember buffs or nerfs it is about your play style. I've beating this game 20+ times and I'm currently doing a no death run. All 3 story lines back to back.
@R_Squared89 Coral Oscillator is a good choice if you want a second blade or if you want to use demonblade tech. But Pulse Blade is more versatile and does more damage during punish. If you want to hit the second swing after staggering someone, simply pause a moment before you do the second swing! I was wondering why your Ducketts weren’t hitting as hard, but then I saw the 50M distance lmao. Its ideal range is 90M, but drops off after that until 178M. It should be just as strong even closer than 90M or am I insane?
The buff of the melee relating factors are actually useless. Melee build user is suffering more since light-weight build with two duckett are everywhere. It is really hard to chase them. Even melee user can catch them, light-weight build could stun you easily with dual Duckett. The melee experience in current patch in ranking just sucks😅.

Not sure I'm a fan of this one, every patch just seems to fuck my newest build 😂 My dual etsujin + fassan lightweight got double shat on because the etsujins aren't great anymore and the coral generator I relied on got nerfed as well... I can't even run the new Ducketts on it due to energy problems. You can say I deserve it for running broken stuff if you like but damn it's annoying, especially when there's just a new meta lightweight already here...
The buff vs nerf amount is laughable, honestly. Buffing shit for +2~+20 digit-wise while nerfs are often at least a whopping -100, miyazaki being a troll as always.
The DESSERT legs have always been overrated, and now they've been given a serious nerf, thanks powerbakka......... Edit: And they nerfed LAMMs by 10 KPH? I'm absolutely sick of FromSoft pulling these "we technically nerfed/buffed it, are you happy now???" balance changes, they've been doing these sarcastic buffs/nerfs since DS2, it seems rather immature and also seems to indicate that the devs literally don't understand where the playerbase is coming from sometimes...regarding very obvious issues in PvP. It's very disheartening to see this kind of behavior continuing literally over a decade later, I love the games but come on, this wasn't a real nerf, it was placation. This is a good patch overall, but still feels very underworked/too small and with some questionable decisions being made. Hopefully we get another patch sooner than last time, I was kinda hard-set on not touching the game until the Ransetsu got a major buff or they altered the description/admitted that this is the Broken Straight Sword of AC6. At least at that point, people will be able to understand that this is the intended "hard mode" weapon of AC6, otherwise they have no excuse for ignoring it this badly, if we're being honest.

That 10 speed nerf to LAMM is more impactful than you might think. At full load, that means their hover speed is lower than the standard boost speed of the three lightest legs with the SPD booster, and nearly identical to the KASUARs. That KASUAR buff might be more impactful than people realize as well, especially with the NACHT nerf. The KASUARs actually have more attitude stability now, significantly more AP, and more load limit. You can cram the MIND ALPHA core onto them with some minor tradeoffs, and that plus the melee buffs to the VP-46D arms has some nasty combo potential with a kick+charged HARRIS combo.
@Supercohboy Rumors say another patch is coming! And yeah we think dessert legs were needed because of PowerBaka20. They were not common to see even before but alas, it paid the price anyway. Since many builds got a bit faster, that 10 speed performance to Lamm may matter more than you think!

I just can't help but be doubtful with how effective LAMM legs were in PvP pre-patch, LAMM builds could play only decently and still have the advantage against the vast majority of other builds out there. I want to be wrong though, believe me lol, I'm definitely not on team-Lamm even as a part-time tetra legs user myself.
@MobiGeeksOut vp20s before the patch had only 10EN output less than a santai with approx 2/5 the weight. Both vp20s/c have high Post-SR EN like the YABA, with decent core gen adj. You can stay in the air, AB, get 1 or 2 QBs in while chasing lamms. It still takes a lot of distancing control because skilled lamm kites will have a HMMR ready. But my dual trigger/midweight/biped had little issue against them thanks to YABA/VP20S/C

@@Supercohboy the way I see it is that dessert got nerfed because otherwise people that ran the snail legs would just take those instead and nothing really changed in the end.
@@Excalibaard That's true, but iirc DESSERT were straight up inferior versus Snail legs with the exception of Attitude Stability, and if people swapped to DESSERT at least they'll have traded off the ability to jump more than 5 feet off the ground for the ability to powerbakka lol, that seems like a fair trade but I haven't fought against DESSERT legs powerbakka so I admittedly wouldn't know.
That 10 speed nerf to LAMM is more impactful than you might think. At full load, that means their hover speed is lower than the standard boost speed of the three lightest legs with the SPD booster, and nearly identical to the KASUARs.
That KASUAR buff might be more impactful than people realize as well, especially with the NACHT nerf. The KASUARs actually have more attitude stability now, significantly more AP, and more load limit. You can cram the MIND ALPHA core onto them with some minor tradeoffs, and that plus the melee buffs to the VP-46D arms has some nasty combo potential with a kick+charged HARRIS combo.

And yeah we think dessert legs were needed because of PowerBaka20. They were not common to see even before but alas, it paid the price anyway.
Since many builds got a bit faster, that 10 speed performance to Lamm may matter more than you think!
@@griffinfaulkner3514 Hmm, fair enough, I'll definitely be testing it out if this is our last patch for awhile, or if another patch comes in that doesn't touch LAMMs again but which makes some other cool changes. If LAMMs somehow needed only 10 kph less top speed to reign them in, then alright, I'll happily stand corrected. I just can't help but be doubtful with how effective LAMM legs were in PvP pre-patch, LAMM builds could play only decently and still have the advantage against the vast majority of other builds out there. I want to be wrong though, believe me lol, I'm definitely not on team-Lamm even as a part-time tetra legs user myself.

Idk about meta, but definitely wasn't inoptimal. Vp20s/C are very effective for dealing with lamm kites tho

@MobiGeeksOut vp20s before the patch had only 10EN output less than a santai with approx 2/5 the weight.
Both vp20s/c have high Post-SR EN like the YABA, with decent core gen adj. You can stay in the air, AB, get 1 or 2 QBs in while chasing lamms.
It still takes a lot of distancing control because skilled lamm kites will have a HMMR ready. But my dual trigger/midweight/biped had little issue against them thanks to YABA/VP20S/C
