  • This is an updated Sword meditation free flow, inspired by Bruce Lee's be water inspiration on "Expressing Yourself with Martial Arts" - its more focused on the mindset & meditation aspect of self training or home training.
sometimes we may not absorb everything we learn from the Dojo, so it is important to self train and reflect what was being taught. It is also important to have a certain mindset each time we practice something
sometimes we want to focus on just the movements,
sometimes its on how we lack certain strengths on certain techniques,
sometimes its on the tempo of each moves we do,
sometimes we think if it is affective for practicality,
sometimes we practice this way - but reality its not as rigid,
sometimes its for historical or cultural reasons not actually techniques
    etc etc etc...
each time we practice we need to separate the mindset to breakdown what we've practice.
Truthfully a type of workout and flow I haven't done in a long while.
after re-editing this video I am inspired to do more serious of these workout/mediation sessions for the channel. It may fit nicely with the Follow Alongs as well.

this is what I love about sworsdmanship the more you repeat , the more insight you get as you said, and it becomes more efficient.

its like a self correcting mechanism and you know it instantly if you did something wrong. a very intuitive art.

I also do an excercise where I am holding something else in my hand, pretend to be attacked and I drop the object or hurl it then draw my sword quickly, or try and grab and draw a sword that is not at my waist say a meter or two away.
