- So yes, I managed to ruin the new perfectly running engine in a matter of minutes. Having another engine in the workshop we tried to make the best out of the 2 engines. Question is, Did we make it to the trackday the next day?

Great video Dan, it's surprising how much damage an alternator belt can do but you got it sorted and made it to the track day, I think the smile on your face pretty much said it all mate you obviously had a blast out there on the track and the little Lupo did you proud mate👏👏🙏👍

You learn 10x more when you make mistakes and things go wrong than you’d ever learn if everything went to plan. You’ll never ever route a belt the wrong way ever again. 👍🏼
Get some Rain X for your windscreen... use it as instructed and you won't need wipers in the rain above about 20mph... far less irritating flapping wiper blades.

DOH, It never rains but pours, same thing happened to a mate only difference the garage did it for him on a new stage 2 engine. that was not even run in. Their excuse it sounded lumpy so they thought they would tune it for him .DUH!!! shame as it was in for a brakes change.

bad luck, you know vw have done cars and engines only with ac-compressor , its not only to put a new belt on and everything is fine.
