Tascam 424, Electro-Harmonix Small Stone and Strymon Volante // New Tape Day

I was originally experimenting with a piece by Max Richter on a long external tape loop but I kept running into issues with tape tension. Ultimately the Tascam shredded the tape so I started over with something simpler.
I recorded four droning chords with the Prophet Rev2 on a short tape loop. The Volante adds some movement and the small stone creates a phasing effect.

Cant work out how the tape counter is turning but the reels are still. Does that Tascam have an internal memory? Great stuff regardless!! 😊

The tape is actually moving but it's quite hard to see since there is not enough tension in the loop.
