    The video is captured at sub zero temperature in Sandakphu, which is the highest peak of West Bengal. It takes absolute luck to get a view like this

    I know that was Kanchenjunga on the right but I think the middle in the left was Everest and the one closer is actually Makalu.

    Amazing weather to see.. Great videography.. One small correction. I think Where you shown the 3 Everest ranges. You said middle one the higest one is Everest. But I think The higest that looks highest is actually Mt. Lhotse. The other one is Everest i think. I may be wrong

    • @samsignorelli
      @samsignorelli Год назад

      You may be right...from that vantage point, Lhotse would be closer to the viewer and this APPEAR taller than Everest.

    • @avijeet
      @avijeet  8 лет назад +1

      Hi Raktim, we went there in May. But we were very lucky to have seen this clear view as it was raining like hell till the day before. The most preferable time would be March to Early April. However in Jan you will definitely have a very clear view but it will be very chilly and full of snow.

    The actual location of Sandakphu or Sandakpur is on the border of Nepal (Ilam District) and India (Darjeeling). 50% of which lies in Nepal and the remaining portion lies in India. From there one can catch the clear view of monster Himalayan peaks of Nepal and few Indian and Bhutan sides like Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kumbhakarna, Kanchanjungha etc. Kanchanjungha comprises of 5 peaks altogether. The main peak, Central peak, and the South peak lies on the border of Nepal and India whereas the West peak of Mt Kanchenjunga and Mt Kangbachen lie in Taplejung District of Nepal. One can say very precisely that one can catch a glimpses of Nepalese Peaks altogether.
