  • Kanchenjunga lying at the Indo-Nepal Border has been worshipped by the people of Sikkim and adjoining areas for time immemorial. And that is the reason why they frown on people who wish to reach the summit of the holy mountain. In this video, we take a look as to why Kanchenjunga's peak has never been touched.

I'm blessed to get a view of Kanchenjunga from my balcony on a regular basis (almost).

Not surprised that Nepal allowed climbers despite people considering the mountain sacred. They always valued money over decency and respect.

Worshipping a peak is hilarious. If I climbed this mountain I would definitely touch the top. Allowing someone else's absurd religious belief to control your actions is silly.

I was in Darjeelin in 2013 and despite being there 5 days, only got to see the peak of Kangchenjunga on a single magical morning. For an hour or so the clouds parted. The triangular shape up top reflected the sunlight that morning and I will never forget it's beacon-like brightness. It was an amazing sight to behold.

I got a glimpse of Kanchenjunga for a few minutes from Darjeeling. I was just amazed by her beauty! I watched her as she again went beneath the clouds. For me, that was the most beautiful scene I have ever seen in my life!

Informative. Good video. I have a suggestion. These days most people have opened demat account. And also, RUclips channels have been subscribed tremendously. Rachana Ranade is one among such youtube channels. I have joined her channel in April, 2020, when 1.5 lakh subscribers. As on date , she has 20 lakh+ subscribers. She is one of the most promising business teaching women in india. Her lectures are simple and easy to understand to layman also. Please make a video on her, if you are interested.

Thanks for this informative video. I was recently in Darjeeling and really felt a deep connection to Kanchenjunga. It's strange, even though I could see the other peaks, including Everest, it was Kanchenjunga that stood out the most to me.
