      This video is a joke! This guy is so narrow minded and thinks you will be with a calculator doing a conversion. Not even able to think about his potential audience. The 100 highest are located in Nepal, China, Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.

      @TheStinkysteve Not sure where you came up with that absurd logic, where anybody disliking or criticizing something should embrace in doing it by himself. There are many cars and planes I do not like and would never even think of trying to build one myself. If you want to be on stage, then be prepared for criticism as it is a guaranteed path to improvement, if you do not stink.

    I’ve just returned from the Himalayas in Nepal….I was there to attempt a summit of Island Peak @ 20,000ft, only to fall short @ 16,000ft due to AMS acute mountain sickness. Nepal is an incredible place, from the city of Kathmandu all the way into the Himalayas. IN THE WORDS OF ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER…..ILL BE BACK ⏰🙏⛰

      Two months before your trip I completed the Manaslu circuit. It is a strenuous trek covering over a hundred miles in remote and difficult terrain. You get to see far more varied landscapes than a 'there and back' hike up to a mountain base camp, or the summit as you bravely attempted. The highest point was the Larkya La pass, at 16,752 feet. I felt no discomfort or breathing difficulties whatsoever at that altitude. If you got AMS at that height I would suggest you needed a longer period of acclimatization or you are simply not physically suited to go higher. Know your limits. I would strongly recommend a circuit trek with several days to hike to a pass at a higher level than where you failed... Annapurna and Manaslu both fit that criteria; both are spectacular, though the first is too busy for my tastes. Good luck.

      Whereas in India, a road has already been built at a height of 20 thousand feet, which is built on the highest pass in the world.If you want to conquer a height of 20,000 feet, then come to Ladakh in India. Here, I will take you around in a car at such a height.As we gradually climb higher in Ladakh we will also become AMS compatible.

      Blatantly untrue, what makes you think that if the earth is not a perfect sphere that the atmosphere is. It has been long established that space starts at 100km, which is measured from sea level. This is because the atmosphere fits the surface of the earth.

    • @ForzaMonkey
      @ForzaMonkey 2 года назад

      @@zackm1818 the TROPOSPHERE, or the lowest layer of the atmosphere, ends at 100km from MEAN (average) sea level, and that on its own is an AVERAGE measurement. the highest level of the atmosphere ends at around 621 miles up, or 999.4 km on AVERAGE. We have no way to prove that the atmosphere perfectly fits earth's surface, and we also have no way to prove that it is perfectly spherical either.
      It has been established that space begins at 100km because it is an easy measurement to make, not because it is the end of the atmosphere. You really think that the earth's atmosphere would end at a perfect 100km?

      @@ForzaMonkeyThe troposphere does not even touch space it goes to around 20km. Also I did not infer that it ends at a perfect 100km the change is gradual and there is no clear point where it changes from atmosphere to space, but the average point has been decided by scientists so that's what I will use. I am not saying my response is the definitive answer but it is the best guess based on science.

      Yes all these peaks are on Pakistan China border. That place in Karakoram on Pak China border is known as Concordia. Concordia is the confluence of Baltoro glacier and Goodwin Austin glacier. Very secluded and isolated place and subject to harsh weather such as strong wind storms upto 200Km per hour. Weather is one of the main reason that makes K2 so challenging.

      The only 8000 meter peaks wholly inside a single country are Shishapangma (China), Dhaulagiri I/Manaslu/Annapurna I (all Nepal), and Nanga Parbat (Pakistan). ALL of the remaining nine 8000ers are part of a border and thus in both countries involved.
