This video would have been so much better without that damnd banner at the bottom throughout the whole video.
NebTheWeb its an Ad for their flight system so goes to figure that they would have a banner. This is not just a sight seeing video but more of a marketing tool for this companies drones.
Totally agree. Acceptable in the beginning and the end, but not as a constant on the screen
Could be smaller at least and lower. It was so annoying that I couldn’t watch the whole video
...or the weird music
Yep
Imagine if it could carry oxygen bottles or medical equipment
or fire wood
wait is it even possible to start a fire on Everest?
Why should they, it will pollute everest even more.
@@xubiousprobs not enough oxygen
These drones are going to transform mountain climbing for the better in the long term. One day I can see them actually being able to carry people from one place to another.
Came for the Everest footage. Stayed for the music.
So you're not phased by the images.
Me too
Same here,
Beautiful song and music

every time i see Everest I think of Georg Mallory and Andrew Irvine climbing up with inadequate clothing, equipment, no ladder at the second step no idea what was in front of them, and sadly perishing up there. Nice video impressive drone, not what I expected at all.
What a wonderful experience being able to share in seeing this flyover !
Kind of a bit sad too when you think of the lives lost climbing that mountain.
Bro I was really hoping he’d get so much closer to the top of the mountain...kinda disappointing tbh
Would have been cool to see it fly 100 ft. Over the peak. Maybe see some climbers.
yea bummer, especially when the title says 'soars over everest' but it didnt
I mean I too was hoping to see the flags and all, people waving at the peak maybe is asking too much...😉
@@driftlesshermit9731 Judging by the amount of snow blown off the peak (that "white smoke"), there must have been very strong winds blowing over the summit - which means the footage was done "off climbing season". So not a chance of seeing any climbers there. I suspect the wind was also the reason why the drone did not get any closer (or maybe it did but the footage was so shaky, it was deemed unusable).
Congratulations on the amazing achievement! Even though the footage wasn't intended to be aesthetically pleasing and shared with thousands, it is in fact very beautiful and a privilege to watch. Thank you for sharing this with us, hope to see more footage from your other drones as well.
Thank you so much. You're a very kind person. Welcome to Moscow!
Stable flight at 30,000 ft in 60 mph winds with clear imagery is quite impressive.
Would’ve been nice to mark the different routes and camps around the mountain, but enjoyed the views nevertheless. Thanks for sharing
I saw Everest in the distance, but i don't see it soaring "over" Everest...
starts at @9:20
yep its bs
They didn't fly over Everest. What clickbait
9:30
"Soaring!" 50 miles from Everest!
I saw this fantastic video (however, a little messy at the end), only a few days after reading the book “The ascent of Everest” by John Hunt, the leader od the British Expedition which, on 29th May, 1953, reached the top of the highest mountain on Earth. The two men who were the first there were Edmund Hillary, a mountaneer from New Zealand, and sherpa Tensing Norgay, a native guide from Nepal. In this video, the first view of Everest ocurr at 5.07. Obviously, the drone approached from the south-west. Therefore, it didn't show the usual route followed for most expeditions, vía the Khumbu Gracier, the famous and dangerous Icefall and the slow ascent along the Western Cwm, as in this video they are behind the Nupse, the long, narrow mountain at the foreground, whose saw-like summit, like a giant iguana, runs upwards to the right (to the East) to meet the top of Lhotse, the mountain to the right. In the center, behind the summit of Nupse -in fact two miles away-, is Mount Everest. To appreciate the scale of the view, Nupse is 7,879 metres high; Lhotse is 8,511 metres and Everest, 8,848 metres. The 3 mountains together form a sort of spiral massif, separated by a giantic geographical bowl called the Western Cwm, its bottom 3.000 to 4.000 metres lower. A closer look of Lhotse and Everest can be seen from 5.17 to 6.00. The depression between the Lhopse and Everest if the famous South Col. Every expedition, from the south (Nepal) or from the north (China), have to go the the South Col, there is no alternative, to the final assault on the top. From there, mountaneers have to climb another 1,000 metres, in a winding uphill distance of a little over 2,500 metres to reach the top. To see this video, was a little bit as reading the book again and understanding it a little better... Thanks, Russians!
Mr. Gupta and others who doubt,
The drone has onboard altimeters. The wind shear over the top of any mountain is dangerous to aircraft. The line of sight was level to the peak. Therefore, it did the dead. Here is the record link at www.rusaviainsider.com/skat-uav-sets-altitude-record/ which was set at 9333 meters (about 1500' over the top of Everest). Today we call Everest's peak at 8848.9 meters (it changes from time to time and over time). I like to give credit where credit is due. Bob Jarrard PS: I am not Russian, a communist - just a plain old Okie who appreciates when folks got the grit to do what others say cannot be done!
Just flew a 20 pound science glider from 75,000 feet last week for NOAA and NASA. Lifted by a weather balloon. This powered flight is quite impressive. The flight duration and propeller thrust at this altitude is a big challenge and they did it well. Congratulations.
thank you very much
A new term has just surfaced 'I droned Everest"
Having walked all the way up these valleys when I was a young man it is wonderful to see them from this perspective. Ama Dablam, Namche, Everest View hotel and so many more.
Alas I could never survive there now. So videos like this are the only way to relive my youth.
Really enjoyed this video. Congratulations on a remarkable achievement.
I too find the banner across the bottom actually took a lot away from the visual experience.
Loved the music. Well done!
Beautifully done! 4:51 - 5:10 gives the viewer a better idea of how high up Mt Everest is from civilization.
This augurs a giant leap forward in snack delivery services to mountaineers.
@@danstrayer111 - Goes without saying.
The music is eerily beautiful. Almost enchanting. No, it is completely enchanting. And the video is breathtaking!
Thanks so much for writing a feedback. We are glad that you liked the video and music.
In initial phase of video it's singing "Shree raam jay raam jay jay raama"....we Hindus sing it while remembering God Rama 🙏🙏
Congratulations ! But the video editing could have be done much better. The huge text below is awfully disturbing and reduces the quality of the shooting.
Ok ok Junius uyuuhh
The propeller is interfering with the picture too.
Rüdiger Hartmann What an awesome video. The lower banner was good to have in the era of ripping off videos on YT. You might want to make a link available for those who really want to see (BY LICENSING) the full screen w/o the banner. People's (your) efforts are not public domain; embrace capitalism and continue with more great flights

they have stated this video wasn’t particularly made for youtube. but for Dubai exhibition. so stop moaning, watch or leave, no one force you.
Incredible feat, respect to all those involved in this project. Simply awe inspiring. My only comment would be if you could have telemetry included on the feed like alt, speed, compass. Would love to see other major peaks being buzzed like K2, Annapurna, Lohtse, but I guess that’s costly.
They've still to do Everest.
Love the snow plume that blows off Everest /Sagarmatha.
Absolutely stunning scene....we are so small but so much drama...imagine living there....no drama just trying to survive.
Nice jello effect you have going on there.
Awesome! Dude, that was amazing. Congratulations and thanks for sharing this.
Thank you, dear friend
Very excellent view and close up of Mount Everest precisely provided by you.
Thanks.
What an AWSOME adventure - thank you for taking me along ! ! !! I'm so impressed with this technology. And to think, it's only been 106 yrs. since the Wright Brothers flew at Kitty Hawk! That really is not so long ago. Thank you, thank you - just incredible ! ! ! 9-)
Thank you, dear friend
Impressive tech work for you at SS. And for MG, it was over the mountain peak elevation and the mountain, which is more than just one point.
They're flying that drone up there where jets fly. Everest is 30,000 ft. alt. and the drone is above that by a few thousand feet.
That's pretty incredible flying.
it was much higher because it was requirement the government of Nepal
@@SKATSYSTEMS Thanks. That couldn't have been the easiest flying either. There must be
severe turbulence all around that mountain. Well done!
Outstanding Achievement... Congrats to all involved!! Applause
They didn't do what they advertised!
Great achievement! Respect to Russia. From a UK engineer. PS. nice music!
Thank you dear Andrew! Welcome to Moscow! facebook.com/skatsystems
Russia always had and has superb engineers. Greetings from Germany 🙋🏼♀️
Wow such a beautiful song in the background , first I thought that it was an indian channel.. Jai shree Ram🙏🙏
For such a small drone, that was fantastic. I was wondering when video telemetry would get erratic. That came in at about 8:00. Still, it was a great video done with minimal equipment. Fantastic! Congratulations & thank you! Great music too! Could you tell us the title of the first one where the chorus sings? Loved it!
Thank you Bill ! Welcome to Moscow! And Hi from Guinness Book - facebook.com/skatsystems
It was clearly higher than Everest at one point, 9:20+, and it is clear from a pilots standpoint, that it was NOT a day to fly directly over Everest. The turbulence in the mountain waver that enveloped Everest on that day quite possibly would made the Russian drone into little pieces. Strong mountain waves are not to be trifled with.
This is the best angle to see Lhotse that I have ever seen. Really cool. I'm awestruck.
This drone looks much better technology then the regular available in the market.
1) This drone is commercially available for fun use ?
2) How much is the cost ?
3) a regular person can fly it ? or needs an engineering team ?
4) also it seems to have very long range.
1-Yes 2-from 100000 3-Yes, regular 4-up to 100 km range a data channel
when i see this i really admire the courage and spirit of George Mallory and Sandy Irvine who was last seen going for the summit ---and i really believe making it to the Top of the world-----------------Bless em RIP x
They did. Probably died in descent
Mallory was believed to have said he was going to place a photo of his wife at the top. When his body was discovered in 1999 they never found a photo of his wife. It's possible he never brought a photo, but it's also possible he did and left it at the summit. Irvine has never been found, nor has their camera which could contain photos of their possible summit. There's a divided opinion on if they ever did summit.
Hard to believe some people are actually able to climb Everest. I have always been fascinated by this mountain and her incredible beauty!! Thanks for the upload!! Can a drone stop and back up in midair like a helicopter? Great job!!
Anyone can climb Everest. Even a double amputee. K2 or Annapurna 1 is a much more difficult of a climb.
I notice even they get camera distortion from vibration at higher magnifications. It's surprising it can withstand the high wind and cold but look at that deep blue sky. Imaging viewing the stars from that place.
Thank you Mike! Welcome to Russia! And Hi from Guinness Book - facebook.com/skatsystems
good question. Yes, Really the wind was very strong. Sometimes gusts has achieved 27 m per s. But this not important and this no problem. If you saw - vibrations start after climb up 8000 metre - all very simple this is very low temperature. This friction beetwen camera cover outside and cover hook supporting the turning device.
Is any of the footage captured by the UAV SKAT available to the public? How much 'mapping' was done or did you just do a flyover? Did you share any of the footage with the Russian Mountaineering Federation? Thank you!
Be positive! Forget about the logo. Great thank you to Skatsystems. Greetings from Mongolia
Welcome to you from the land of the Khan. What a beautiful view.
My journey to Base Camp was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Thanks for sharing.
Did you summit or just go to base camp
@@michaelriley8002 I hiked up to Base Camp, then back to Lukla
@@Travelteez That's cool. I'd go kick it at base camp for awhile but I'm sure I would die anywhere past that point lol. I think I'd be ok through the ice wall I'm ok with the heights and ladders over heights I think that part would be the biggest adrenaline rush actually. I just think the ascent would kill me once oxygen got lower, my breathing is bad I smoke lol.
what size motors esc, or maybe what frequencies for the video etc. great ya did it but love to know how. was it battery only or supported with solar cells?
Electric motor and polimer batteries facebook.com/skatsystems
Great video, where did the team film from?
This would have been perfect if they trolled the people climbing up the mountain with it.
Suggestion. Next flight, scan the area where Mallory and Irvine were lost in 1924, go below where Ankor found Mallory in 1999 and see if you can find the body of Irvine. If it leads to Irvine, it might lead to the Camera and prove or disprove if they made it to the top...
Yeah imagine the Go-Pro footage, exciting.
@@tom7245 yeah the Mallory and Irvine 1924 go-pro...🤔

It was beautiful but I was a little disappointed you didn't flyover Everest. Awesome views!
This is the best aerial video of Everest I have seen.
You should see the Ballooning Over Everest (1991) documentary.
well, it's ok. The logo was placed front and center and obscured all the best views of the video.
Fantastic. AI always enjoy any thing new I can learn about Everest. Great job guys. Thanks.
It was really boring and disappointing to me.

Are you saying this was achieved through technology that was stolen from the West?
Yes!
Thanks for your congratulations!
@@SKATSYSTEMS Я хотел бы видеть саммит намного ближе.
please don't put the logo in the middle of the screen obscuring everything, put it in a top corner.
They are so proud that it is "made in Russia", but how much material or electronics is Russian? Supposing that almost zero.
Where are the materials from ???
USA, Japan, Europe, and less important China, Teddy.
Better yet; just show it at the beginning and bring it up at the end again. It did really hinder the ability to absorb the amazing tapestry. That said, what a cool accomplishment. That craft performed very well.
Don't put it at all
That's undoubtedly the best video of everest

At what altitude was the base camp / launch point located? With even a generous allowance for base-camp to the Everest summit, the base camp must have been an oxygen challenge for some of the party. We note you wisely avoided the treacherous winds of the summit.
At 9:45, the quality of video dramatically improves-- did the first video camera have problems?
Yes, little frozen a cover
@@SKATSYSTEMS Thanks for your response. At what altitude was the base camp located?
Wow, piękna wycieczka i te zbliżenie do góry. Ciekawi mnie temperatura i wysokość nad everestem wyglądalo to niesamowicie. Pozdrawiam

Howard Miller ..First of all this is not any drone,,wrong tittle,,.This is R/C flying wing.LOL
Great video !!
This is UAV R/C flying wing ,not drone.
No, it's a drone! Or do you think that drones are quadrocopters?
Jan Polubinski I don't think you know what a drone is. It's any remote controlled vehicle. mm'kay?

From Spain my best congratulations for yours records and for the pleasure what you video has done to all viewers. Go Russia, go!!!
Amazing job. Hello from the US.
Everest is very intimidating with the cloud forming on 1 side, but the other peak does not have the cloud forming on 1 side. And it is almost as high as the everest peak.
The wind was coming from left to right. This causes lower air pressure on the sheltered (right) side, causing a cloud to form.
what does it mean to carry oxygen bottles or medical equipment on everest?.
15:38. Looks like he needs a few more beers!

Thanks to you my Russian fellas. No one here realizes these images have a major engineering project behind and complain about shit.I for one never saw an airplane, drone or not, with an inverted double fin. Also the height hat plane flyes to, above 10000m I presume, with a small shitty prop is absolutely crazy.Thats what you call efficiency, then there are guys with turbine engined RC planes that dont even reach 1000m .Images are superb and you chose the best possible place to take off from, the motherfucking tengboche monastery.
