    Been a while Courtney since I've taken a peek. Man I'm excited to see it out on the street to see how she goes. What I love most about the car is, it's actually a street car. You kept it true. Super nice build brotha.

    Courtney, look up vinegar for "plating" u can also do electrolysis at home with basic items and a couple of D batteries. I heat regular vinegar and put knife blades in tge hot vinegar to make them black and protect from rust

    Perfect timing, I just was catching up on your videos!!

  • @VRMN8R

    Dont use and impact to tighten them down, The beating of the socket will "nick" the coating of the nut off and that's where the rust comes from. Run them down and then use a torque wrench to tighten them.
    After you threaded the studs into the flanges, there wont be any "straightening" the studs at all.
    When enlarging holes, its best to use a reamer and not a drill bit although, Ive done the same thing.

    Drag race solutions, billet lug nuts, is what I use, if not the standard steel ones.

  • @whereisamerica7384
    @whereisamerica7384 3 месяца назад +1

    Collector Tethers lug nuts are what most buy now. Or you can heat them(not red just too hot to touch) and use bees wax or chain wax. Paint chips and they rust anyhow. Either Strange, Moser or Quick Performance sells plated lugs. I think Joes, AllStar and AFCO sell them too if you want to stay inexpensive standard lugs

    Look up how to make an anodicing kid. And anodize them.
    The hardest part about another is getting your voltage to get the color you want

      @@ThePaintPaperHustle no worries. I'm new to the Co2 game and was wondering it there's a preferred psi.

    I use PB Blaster on my lug shanks, I find it to last longer than WD-40. Either or will work though.

    Seafoam spray is what you want to use. That WD40 will eventually dry up and rust.

    The wd 40 didn’t really help so I tried triflow spray and it seemed to be working well no tkm tuning 👍👍👍

      Ok I’ll keep that in mind. And no honestly I don’t have time. John can just tune it at the track he said.

    Wait , you mean to tell me people are complaining about rusted lug nuts lol. This is no lie , 30 years ago a bought a late 70’s G body and the lug nuts was rusted so me being a young man WD40 them and about 25 miles later I had two wheels ready to fall off and before you have some smart ass comment , yes I torqued my lug nuts.

    • @ThePaintPaperHustle
      @ThePaintPaperHustle  3 месяца назад +1

      No I decided that I don’t want to take the time off work to go dyno it and will just let John tune it at the track

      lol it’s done man. On to the Plymouth. Just improving something to go faster does nothing for me. It’ll still look the same. Time to build another vision and bring it to life.
