I made a female slitheryn Viola Mayhem.

In Richard Jackdaw’s quest, you can find the lake where Harry saves himself & Sirius from the Dementors in Prisoner of Azkaban. When you get close to it your character will remark on the stags found around it, referencing the animal that Harry’s Patronus took the form of.
No way! I noticed immediately that it was that location but didn't notice a stags remark 🤔

A detail I thought was super cool was that In the opening cutscene you cannot see the Thestrals pulling the carriage until George Osric is killed by the dragon. This means that was the first time the protagonist has witnessed death. I lost it when I realised it, so awesome the detail the game has.

Yeah I saw the same thing on my first playthrough.
Yeah was a pretty wow moment, when the character looks & sees the Thestrels my brain suddenly caught up that my character saw their first death.
There's a nice little reference to events in Philosopher's Stone in a quest with Sebastian, he says "Nothing like an angry troll to bring friends together." which is exactly what brought the trio together in the book.
You can hear people receiving Howlers at random moments in the game. I found two so far both by accident but I stuck around to watch the Howler tear itself up.
I saw a couple of ghost chasing each other throughout the castle with one of them trying to beat the other it's really funny, or the other is when your going into the clothing store in hogsmead and see a kid dancing because there's a curse placed on the socks, and the mom gets mad at the son for causing a scene

5:48 Adding onto this, Fastidio (the poltergeist you deal with in this side quest) says “Knight to H3”, which is the same move that Ron makes in Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone where he sacrifices his knight to get Harry & Hermione to move on.
Also fastidio in italian means to bother. Since you're fighting him in extremely bothering conditions (upside down gameplay)
I hate that I can't play it on pc
I did this quest last night and I hated it, I loved Penny but the stuff Fastidio makes us do made me hate it especially the jump scares
I had already learned Avada kedavra by the time the upside down part happened so I one shot that part of the bosses health and went back to normal gameplay
The “follow the spiders” quote is actually in a quest when you have to find a spider cave later in the game. There’s a note on a dead person saying “Follow the spiders” over and over again.
Ron also said :“ why can’t we follow the butterfly’s?“
And there is actually a side quest where you have to follow the butterflys:)

I was walking to the trophy room and just saw a knight getting absolutely folded by another and it was the most a musing thing ever. I stopped and just wanted for a while.

The test I took on the official website says I'm a Slytherin, but in my heart I know I'm a Ravenclaw so that's what I chose.

One I haven't seen anyone mention yet, at the wooden bridge there is always a bigger owl and a smaller one right next to it right at the same spot where Lupin and Harry talk about Lily. It might be a reference to that scene

Apparently, there is a cave where you can encounter a wolf enemy called The Grim.
I stumbled upon that one but if you noticed the other wolf is titled as 'The White Wolf'. I'm not sure about Hogwarts origins on werewolves but if you played Dragon age this might be a reference to the white wolf who first created werewolves. As we know, in Dragon age, the spirit takes the form of a woman with roots spreading around her body but her wolf form is white.
Or it might be a nod to the Witcher 3 in which Geralt is known as the white wolf and in the hearts of stone DLC he is bound to a character known as Gaunter O'Dimm, whose appearance brings misfortune and death much like the grim, only to be freed up on completing his quests. Would also explain why there are Inferi there as many deaths happen in that quest.

There’s two wolf, and The Grim is just called that because the nearby residents thought it was the grim but it wasn’t
@@ashleygarner3632 also Jon Snow in Game of Thrones is called the White Wolf since he's a Stark so he's a wolf, but he's a bastard so he takes the name of Snow. So his banner even has a white wolf instead of the black one. In reality with all the nerdy people who made the game, it could be any of these, but i thought of Geralt and Jon Snow first
The Grin? What's the Grin?
Just found another Easter egg took me a while to notice so thought I'd share. When you you find and solve all the hogwarts secrets you get "Fashionable dress robe" appearance. Which if you compare to Goblet of fire it is Ron's dress robe from that movie.
The kite flyers are cool. Also there is a dude in Hogsmede that cannot get on a broom. There was a student practicing circling objects too. Then there is the student that gets bitten and floats up and his friends were like “just leave him” 😂
Also on Hogsmeade you can find trash bin which try to bite guy who want to throw trash to that bin
another thing, is in the quest for the cruciatus curse, once in Salazar’s Sanitorium-
There’s a letter he wrote about finding means to get rid of the muggle born. Which then leads to the basilik being born.
One of my favorites as a theme park fan can be seen if you do the side quest where you rescue Adelaide Oakes’ uncle. The ruins he is being held prisoner in look just like the queue building and part of the track for Hagrid’s Motorbike roller coaster at Islands of Adventure in Orlando.
There is an interaction in the hospital wing where a student brings a goat thinking it was his own friend who used a shapeshifting spell by mistake, that one made me laugh

I still laugh everytime I see the one with the knight attacking the other so darn funny 😄
In the caretakers hut, there is a poster for the quidditch team Chudley Cannons saying 'We shall conquer' but after 1972, due to the fact that they hadn't won the league in 80 years, they changed their motto to 'Lets just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best'. I thought it was a good easter egg.
So, that'll be the MN Viking's motto in a few years then.
I like the former Headmistress Naimh's task & the introduction of the Deathly Hallows. Plus the fact it's animated like the tale of the Brother's in the movie version.
I don't like the lack of my usual spells, but the way it's done is clever.
In the history of magic classroom you can see the founders with their artifacts in the stained glass window... Godric with the sword, Salazar with the locket, Helga with the cup and Rowena with the diadem
This game is loaded with Easter eggs - very evident the number of passionate fans who worked on this.

cool fact if you have several class missions lines up you can finish the mission and a line of certain kids will go to the next class with you through the halls just a cool feature
When that happened the first time with the suits of armor I stood there for like a good 5 minutes trying to understand what I just witnessed.

If you are flying over the water by the castle you can find the place where Dumbledore was buried if you fly a bit far away.

I had the dragon drink from the lake directly next to the squids tentacles flailing around. It was the first time I saw either one and I saw them right on top of each other.

I love that they added special voice lines for wearing pajamas, but not for rolling up to someone on a Hippogriff (even to the person who literally considers that animal her best friend) or for using Unforgivables.
There are actually a few interactions with Sebastian when you use unforgivables while on an adventure with him. When I first entered the Catacomb where you find the Relic and used Crucio on a Spider, he said 'That spell got my attention!' Haven't checked if other NPCs doe similar things.
Poppy did react when I used crusio with "well I see you don't back down from using the dark arts" while on adventure with her. From prof.Fig and Amit I haven't heard a clear line from, maybe a gasp but not sure.

If you ride your hippogriff next to the centaurs they’ll exclaim “The animal seems to trust them” or something like that
I've pulled up on Poppy on both my Hippogriff and Graphorn.. She always mentions something about them.
There’s a painting with a guy with a bull sitting on him. This is a nod to when professor flitwick told a story about a wizard who said wingatdium leviosar wrong and ended up with a bull sitting on him
During a side quest with Sebastian where we see the flying Thestrals, there's a cave nearby and in it is a body and letter which tells us that the dead person has tried to illegally breed Basilisks and we can spot a cracked egg which seems like a Basilisk hatched. Correct me if I'm wrong tho.
I found in Hogsmeade that the Daily Profet which you can read in a stand reports this! 😂

Found one yesterday when on way back to Nellie with Gobstones. When crossing the central hall place I passed someone who said ‘One of my neighbours are the descendants from Linfred of Stinchcombe. The man who created Skele-Grow potion’ or something around them lines. Linfred is known as the Potterer (Beginning the Potter Family after marrying Iolanthe Peverell and the fact Harry used that potion in second year (thank you many great grandfather!)
I felt so bad for the knight 😂 I tried to use reparo like 6 times. But in the end it wasn’t enough for the poor guy
I tried to stop the other knight by using Basic Casts. It didn't work!

You can activate arachnophobia-mode which changes the spiders and gives the them rollerskates - just like Ron's boggart
I've been playing for 40h and still am at 50%. But I noticed half the things you showed here. Really thank you because you made me want to go back to where I've already been and see them all happen
Lupins werewolf form statue near the map chamber and Ron's failed attempt at transforming his rat into a cup in transfiguration class room
Go a little further down the hall after the ghost party room and you'll find a possibly still used detention room. Which you can find out in, that Hogwarts used "physical punishment" for certain students 😬
I'm utmost impressed with this game and very pleased to see that everybody's liking it.
It's a shame the gaming industry hasn't been all that grand for the past generations. I only hope for a great turn around.
I’ve been waiting for a good Harry Potter open world game for years. I’m so glad we finally have one
I really hope more games start getting the care that this game recieved. That's the biggest thing, so many games just get regurgitated out and ask for $70 for a deluxe edition, $40 for the season pass, and another $100 for cosmetics and cheaty upgrades, but the game itself is unplayable the first 4-6 months anyways, so they just wanted to take your money, give you a broken game, and do it all over again the next year
You missed a little fun fact - the tiny quidditch pitch in Kagawa's office is an ingame replica of a similarly looking one made for the movies that can be checked out in the harry potter warner bross studios in Londond ^^ it didn't make it to the movies and I was so happy to see it in the game
If you go to the astronomy tower you can find some sherry bottles in a blue and white vase. It’s a reference to book 6 where Harry sees Trelawney and she tries to hide them from him

The thestrals appearing is a subtle non-violent way of showing death
There's a house elf that randomly appears around the school, I first noticed him in front of the Transfiguration Courtyard pond. He is
searching for something on the ground frantically, something like a key maybe. When you approach him he vanishes. I saw him once again inside the school only saw him disappear so not sure I saw the same thing.
I think he's cleaning the floors
It's not the same one. And they aren't looking for anything, Elf's are just cleaning the school, and they disappear when you get too close to them. :)
Lots of them work in the school kitchen as well.
one detail ive seen is you can see ominis gaunt a blind slytherin student walking around the school with his wand held out as it blinks most likely telling him where to go. you can even see him pull his wand out after a potions class cutscene to be led out of the room.
And in an earlier build of the game, you can spot Ominis leaning against a pillar, reading a book. It's been patched out during the first day patch, but if you had early access, it was there. I think there are still clips of it on YT.

The houself that opens the Jackdaw quest as a Slytherin is a huge Order of the Phoenix refference
U missed one about the girls bedrooms , if in the slytherin common room on rare occasion the basilisk will slither around the pipe like hall way
That's not the basilisk. That's the giant squid glitching through.
The basilisk is canonically in hibernation at this point.
Two of the coolest ones I found (SPOILERS AHEAD)
When you ride the graphorn, you can hear a theme playing which is extremely similar to Test Drive from How to Train your Dragon:
In Slytherin's scriptorium, he specifically talks about the chamber of secrets and how he put the creature to sleep waiting for someone who shares his views about pure-blood and half-blood wizards
It's actually not cool that they ripped off John Powell's HTTYD score. Took me out of the game completely and made me feel like the score of the game was unfinished.

Just like the entirety of the music if you listen closely to the score : you can hear variations of the main theme (Hedwig's theme) at several points of the game. In my opinion, Rakozy did a very nice work of paying tribute to John William's score while making the score his own.
There's an Adams Family reference down in the restricted section of the library. Right at the bottom of the first stair case, you can see "Thing" and a portrait, of who I assume, is Morticia

Very true. Now tell me which gorgon it is. There are descriptions online to help identify her. 🤝
@@PlayStationGrenade in the page it doesn’t identifier. It just says a “beautiful gorgon”. And due to this being an estranged history of our own, as well as mythology. We cannot correctly identify her. She could be one of Medusa’s sisters (perhaps Euryale) or just one of the Gorgons of Greek legend that has no name.

When you get into town houses you can eat or drink stuff inside, some candies will make your ears blow steam or make you breathe fire, pretty COOL. You can also find a girl in the corridors always being scalded by a howler...
There’s a Room of Requirement conjuration spellcraft of Dobby’s sock from Chamber of Secrets encased in glass.

@@meganwatson2923 It’s called “Encased Relic Stand” and it can be found in the ‘Decorations’ section of your Conjuration Menu.
I had one more easter egg, there's a magical candy named "Elephant on a Bicycle" which give the consumer the animal or object sound effects which might be a reference to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and the film adaptation, example like how Neville are sounded like elephant, Ronald with a roar of lion, Seamus with the monkey's sound, and Harry with a train whistle until they engaging a pillow fight which is really funny
at night sometimes, i can’t remember exactly where but when you go off the a dock in hogwarts there will be ghosts dancing above the water
Victor Rookwood’s descendant is mentioned in Goblet of Fire and was the death eater who killed Fred Weasley in Deathly Hallows during the Battle of Hogwarts

This game is made awesome
On the start screen the items in the display changed based on your progress, like the beasts statues, broom, vivarium miniatures etc.
In the astronomy tower, one of the students is looking for a constilation called "Sirius" and they say it's supposed to look like a massive dog
That is the actual star constellation. It is actually a dog lol I agree it doubles as a reference though.

In the first film, in the girl's bathroom, Harry pulls his wand out of the troll's nose and says "Ughhh! Troll bogeys!"

There's a special kraken cave underneath the school that you can access via Black Lake. There's a little podium there, but I haven't found any way to interact with it yet.
You can only interact with it as a Slytherin. It's apart of the Slytherin house exclusive quest where you meet Richard Jackdaw. The other houses have different quests.
4:10 I love this sort of thing. Like, if you're on pc and mod in friendly fire, there are unique lines you'd never otherwise hear. E.g. casting Glacio on Fig: "Just like Antarctica!"
The mini quidditch set its a unlockable item you can put on your room of requirements
The amount of details in this game truly is an homage to gaming!
I was in school in my fifth grade gt classroom. My teacher and all of the students were a fan of Harry Potter. When she told us Robby had died, we all broke down. Some girls started to cry, some boys were just in shock, including me.
The stories in the daily prophet was really awesome! (Every morning in Hogsmeade center)
I only read one I kept forgetting to go back and read as the game progress 😢
When you progress far enough into the game and get a breeding den for the vivarium, you’ll actually notice that on one of the little shelves attached to the den is the same mandrake toy as you mentioned at the start
In the transfiguration classroom, there is a cup that was partially transfigured from a rat. This was in reference of Ron trying this with his broken wand in Chamber of Secrets.
There’s also a note you can find on someone that just says followthespiders over and over
I know they’re suits of armor, but watching a guy get stomped out of existence defiantly took me off guard the first time I saw it
I love how professor Ronan reacts to your character in they’re pjs
Sometimes, you can see centaurs in the Forbidden Forest! Most of the time they will be fighting poachers or ashwinders, and if you help them defeat the poachers or ashwinders they will say something like “Why must your kind be so violent?” or “If only you all used that power for good”

There is one of those mandrake dolls under the bridge near Marunweem lake, and if you follow the path to the tower tunnel, you’ll find some rocks that you should blow up with bombarda. Behind it is some devils snare, and you’ll find the place where they were breeding basilisks with a note from a person who looked them in the eye as mentioned in the daily prophet.
Theres another one in the goblin tunnel to get to the south part of the map! A skeleton is hugging him

Somewhere near the tapestry room/gallery, I saw a big painting of a werewolf screaming in full moon night. Maybe a nod to professor Lupin.
In the hospital wing there is a report written by one of the staff about the Quidditch accident from the previous year. It is heavily redacted by the Headmaster. Essentially the ban is without basis, the Headmaster is just being a jerk to cancel the game.
When you attend astronomy class someone says "how am I supposed to find Sirius when my hands are to cold to use a telescope thats a dog aint it?"
The wand movement for Avada Kedavra is Harry’s scar, obviously everyone knows that but that’s the coolest Easter egg IMO
The first niffler Easter egg is referred to fantastic beast and where to find them, when Newt is talking with the caretaker of the vivarium and they eating some popcorn
Every time I watch a video like this one feels like people don’t play the video game… like if you miss any of these “missable” secrets, you just bought the game and didn’t played it.

As soon as you enter transfiguration classroom, look to your right. There's a framed picture of famous painting "The vetruvian man" but in Troll's version. Its no big deal but just so amusing 😂 Goes to show how detailed the game is
Know its a year late, but there's a corridor in hogwarts where the paintings will play you music, there's a conductor and every painting has an instrument, cabt remember where it is
It's in the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower/section of the castle...I've seen and heard them numerous times

What quest is this from? I dont remember watching this cutscene before.
That is the Richard Jackdaw Quest, BUT it's in Azkaban, you only get there if your character is a Hufflepuff.
If you play 4 times, each as a different house, you will meet Richard Jackdaw a different way for each house.
Then they all converge back to the same task at the point where you meet Richard at the Forbidden Forest.
I love the howlers, much like what Mrs. Weasley sent Ron when he stole the flying car.
