I am very happy with mine. I have other revolvers that are over $1,000 in retail value, and this is my favorite one, don't know why. I put a laser bore site in it and the sites are PERFECT. Money well spent for me.
I recently purchased the RIA M206 .38spl Simply wanted a no, non-sense small revolver to carry in the summer her in Az heat. Park my Glock daily. Love the rustic throwback revolver system even with its unrefined aesthetics. Dig the extra grip and gun pouch! RIA knocked it out the park. Single action is so damn light, and dbl action is so smooth 👊🏼along with 6-rds.
My wife has one, and she’s excellent with the wood grip. I shot it, I have huge hands, and I did pretty well. Plenty good enough for self defense range.
Good luck, hope yours runs better than mine! Bought it at Rural King and took it home. Shot 24 rounds...let me say it again..24 ROUNDS through it. Trigger starting sticking, a couple of light strikes and finally the cylinder release locked up on it. Sent it in, wait a month and a half for it to come back. Havent touched it since.
Everything I understand about the RIA is that it is based on the old Colt Detective Special and other D-frames in the Colt lineup thru the 1980s. It’s outward appearance is not so much of the old Detective Special as what’s inside the frame. The old D-frame action was incredibly smooth. What you paid is still not a bad price for a small revolver that might have some potential. Not sure how RIA heat treats their steel, or if they’re forged or cast, but there is some potential. It would be interesting to see if the hammer can be bobbed and still reliably ignite primers.
@@DamnRightDamien well most of the cost was from shipping and tax from firearms depot cuz it was $247 on their website and then the transfer fee at the gun shop plus the $18 mandatory flat tax per firearm we have to pay for each firearm so if you are saving that much then I need to know where you are sending your guns man
I imagine that’s not $299 flat I’m sure it’s plus tax and shipping unless you do their in store pick up you still have tax you got to pay so not exactly $299

Love mine, just swap out the wood grips for the polymer grips.
I would buy this if i wanted a snub nose. Good price and functional.

Well said sir. Supposedly, Hornady Critical Defense 38 Special 110gr FTX Handgun Ammo has just as good results as any +P

I got mine at Grabagun and paid $255.00 plus tax. $25.00 to FFL. I'm in Texas.
