As a 53 year old in 2024, this is a brilliant 1980's film. Always I will watch the genius cheezyness of Better Off Dead... and appreciate how it shows the harsh reality of teenage life. lol.
Fun fact: David Odgen Stires seems significantly older, but he's only 24 years older than Cusac. Kim Darby is only 19 years older. The manager of Pig Burger is Chuck Mitchell who played Porky in Porky's.
I totally hear ya. As a later GenX myself (born in 1978), I feel as if I caught between the two generations. While my core values are most definitely GenX, I do exhibit many Millenial characteristics as well. Don’t get me wrong, I am a GenXer. That’s my generation (the best generation I might add).
Totally awesome, guys! Just found you. Probably due to you being the 2nd channel on You Tube to react to this movie. The first was youngsters and they were confused. Have subscribed, will catch up on your earlier content. So nice to watch people around my age reacting to an 80's movie!
Thank you so much for your support! We specifically made this channel to appeal to people our age and give some love to the movies that came out when we grew up. So many gems in the 80s and 90s!
This has been my FAVORITE 80's comedy since it came out and MOST ppl that showed up late miss Charles Dumar is Booger from the Nerds movies AND I was shocked when I made my wife watch it and she pointed out Ricky is real life creep Dan Schneider!!!!!
Another great episode! I love to see Mrs. Page with Mr. Page. What sweet and funny couple they are! I hope to see them more with you Pete. There is only one thing missing...where is Good Byron?
Born 1968. There is no such thing as an "Xennial" lol. If you were born between 1965-1980 then you're GenX. If not, you're a Millennial. Pew Research rejects the idea, an idea that came from a feminist magazine by a butt-hurt Millennial lol. Don't let Boomers make you ashamed of your generation, guys. Older Millennials grew up partly in the 80s too. Such a stereotypical Millennial idea to take the smallest generation ever and try to make it even smaller. 🙄 Hipsters really are the assassins of cool. So don't be a hipster
I love this movie. This reaction was fun but hard to listen to. The stereo mix is way off. My right ear feels assaulted, while my left ear feels let down. ;)
I think you are right. We ran into some issues with our intro and outro sections. They seemed to only be coming out of one channel instead of stereo. We’ll work to make sure it’s better next time!
Audio is a bit rough. 6mins in and I’ve already rewound three times to hear what the guy on the left is saying but the movie is too loud, and/or the movie + 2 other mics talkong louder than 3rd mic. Always keep it at least 60/40 mics/movie.
And dude on the right’s mic cord is going to break sooner than it should. Don’t bend or put pressure on the connection. Those cords and connectors aren’t made for mobility.
Ahhhhhhh….the 80’s. How I miss you, so very much!
Considering the mother's cooking skills... those TV dinners are probably worth their weight in gold.
Nice video and loved seeing you all . Well done and now I have to watch it . 🥳🥳🥳
I'm 53. This is my 3rd all time favorite movie behind: 1. Butterfly Effect and 2. Serpent and the Rainbow.
Its a 1967 SS ....with a 396...just for the record.
Yep..best friend had the chevelle malibu of the same year and people used to confuse them.

I’ve never seen Porky’s. Might have to put that in the queue!
My favorite 80s movie too!
Im 51
NOTE: Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer are by the same writer/director, Savage Steve Holland.
At least the teacher asked him for premission first.
... when Dan Schneider is literally the elephant in the room ...

Xennials, once a great champion....now, a study in mopishness 😅

I would love that math class.... (minus the teacher being a pervert obviously)

Omg! That is Dan Schneider! I hate Ricky even more now lol 😅
Heh! Well I always thought Ricky turned out to be a Serial killer.
You can actually drive from dodger stadium to a ski mountain in an hour or two.
It's actually a '67 RS/SS and they are worth in excess of $80K

What's wrong with wearing socks to bed
You folks seem really fun and about my age.. I just subbed
Thank you so much! ❤
The Sure Thing and Say Anything were his other big 80’s hits.
LOL was that "Mr. Paige" gag a reference to the movie "Pump Up The Volume"?
I love that car!!!!!

Never mind. It's been fixed. Carry on. :)

@@tempsitch5632Sorry about that. We are working to improve the audio issues. Hopefully it will be better in the future. Thank you for your input!
This movie only got like 1 or 2 stars out of 4. Two thumbs down by siskel and ebbert
