For Oak: The reason he wakes up earlier after killing the omega is that they killed the omega the night before the the fight on the beach. His previous reset was based on alpha blood from the next day, and this time he got omega blood from the night before. Resetting him further back in time.

So i never really understood the ending reset being at a different time, until I realized something. He was always going back to that point after he got demoted. But once he lost the blood, he left for the final mission even earlier than he was fighting before. Because of this, when he absorbs the Omega blood he goes back 24 hours, and it's earlier because of how early they went after the Louvre. He created a new spawn point that was nearly a full day earlier.
That makes sense. But what I still don't get is how the Omega is dead in the past. Or is the Omega alive but its lost its powers because they transfered to him.

Tom got the power from a mimic and took it over from the local Omega, establishing his own save point 2-3 days before he actually obtained the power. Once Tom got the power directly from the omega, he didn't establish his own new save point, he commandeered the omega's save point. At least that's how I read it.
I like this idea but I had a different thought. I always had the idea that it was actually the omega's respawn point he became tied to at the end. The omega restarts to that earlier point, the alpha only resets a little shorter. The omega is the leader of the whole army, alpha is only a soldier. Leader needs to see the whole war, soldiers only need to see their mission, hence the reset times. I believe he only went back there because the omega was trying to reset but instead triggered the power when it was absorbed, hence Tom resets and the omega stays dead.
This film was base on a Japanese LightNovel/Manga(comic book) "All You Need Is Kill" I forgot if the director read this or tom cruise and wanted to make a film about it. This may be the one most popular Live Action Anime movie ever. There are rumors about Edge of tomorrow 2 project this year but I don't know if it will be green lit.
Yeah i think the Director was the one to suggest it and Tom loved the concept of it. But they did change MANY things to adapt it to the point where the only things left of the Light novel are the War with the Mimics and the Respawn cycle, anything else is completly different.(even the Mimics designs are nothing alike, in the Novel, the Mimics are giant black spheres that has Gigantic disporportionate Mouths, almost like Evil Alien Pac-Mans) But never the less, the movie was a Huge success and a very good surprise.
They've been trying to get a sequel made for years. Honestly I will be surprised if it actually happens at this point as I don't think this film was a massive hit.
Not so long ago my mom was telling me "I don't understand why you like to watch people watch something, what's the point in that?" but now she watches with me (victory) and she told me to tell you to watch "A few Good Men" another Tom Cruise excellent movie! Greetings from Venezuela!
Honestly, one of my favorite things about this movie is that it doesn't treat the audience as if we're dumb, and doesn't feel the need to spoon-feed explanations for every little thing that happens. The fact that you're confused is a feature, not a bug.
Cruise couldn’t return to the original start point because that timeline no longer exists, the omega was destroyed, the general didn’t need to send him to the front because there was no longer a front or a battle, resetting him to the earliest point in time possible
You guys are awesome. Very cool that you took the time and the effort to re wind and think it out properly and respectfully showing how good this movie really is.
I can just imagine Oak, decades from now, when he passes away, waking up sitting at that same desk about to watch "Edge of Tomorrow". And when he realizes where and when he is, just shaking his head and uttering two words......'Oh Hell"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite action movies, if not my favorite! Awesome story, fantastic chemistry between Tom and Emily and great humor. Love to see Bill Paxton do basically an older Hudson here too!
When he gets the alien blood in his system, it creates a reset point 24 hours before. So no matter when he dies, even if its a week later, he gets sent back to that same reset point. After the blood transfusion, he lost the reset point. When he destroyed the Omega, he got more alien blood in his system, and it created a reset point 24 hours before which was the helicopter.
I wish they showed the scene where he was getting ready after NOT talking to Rita, and he just had the HARDEST look on his face and straight TOLD the hawian shirt guy he needed extra clips (MAGS brah...), 8 grenades and an extra battery, and the dude just weakly nods. It was just THE best scene. It not only showed Toms determination, but also his complete and total transformation from the dumb@ss/weakling he was before into the total bad@ss no-BS warrior he is by the end. PHENOMINAL acting by everyone in this movie, but Tom especially (with a hat-tip to Rita, cuz she was amazing too).
The REASON WHY Tom goes back to the times he goes back to is because those are the times he was SLEEPING. If you notice in the beginning he’s SLEEPING in the helicopter. He’s also SLEEPING on the ground when the Major wakes him up. The Alpha resets ONE day. The Omega resets TWO.
Wow, that's wild, as someone who doesn't watch many movies I usually discover a channel, and then I binge like 5-10 series that they've done in the past, and then they maybe upload something I've watched 1-2 times per year. I didn't hear much about Oblivion, but it was the only thing playing that looked vaguely interesting at the time, so we went to see it. Ended up loving it. This one I didn't see in theaters, but put it on in the background while doing homework. I did NOT get much homework done, because I got so invested.
This movie was very underrated...and it's still motivates me whenever I feel low....Because it shows every time he dies and wakes up with learning something new... I Don't know I watched it 100's of times...
Oak's struggle during the entirety of this movie between whether this movie takes place in a fictional real world or a video game is one of the more entertaining parts of this reaction lol. Never change big guy and be careful with intertwining the Arcade channel and this one. 🤣
It's amazing. 3 people having fun, smiling, laughing, enjoying the movie - and then you have the Oak, knows everything, and of course better, Pokerface, smiling hurts apparently.
@@HaraldSeiwertthat’s just rude! Oak is a fun guy! He laughs! But he also is the more sensitive of the group and isn’t afraid to cry. All 4 of them compliment each other’s personalities well. It’s okay to no all react the same way as someone else ya know?
I love watching the oak work these things out. Such genuine reactions, and he always wants to understand , you can see him work the details over to get there . And not afraid to admit when he doesn't understand , to get some feedback

I must confess that I never really understood this movie until this video, 100% I was just as confuse as the Oak and Diamond on this one, but now I get it, thanks guys! 😂
Best part of this movie imo is when we’re clearly jumping ahead in resets, fully embracing its Groundhog Day theme He’s aiming ahead of where the mimic is/aiming where it’s going to be, he’s dodging swings with his eyes closed, he’s had personal chats with all of J squad in the background, he knows what to do and when for so many little events But the absolute best is the “please don’t shoot him again”
You guys reaction to the ending was priceless, lol I remember trying to process and how openly they ended it, pretty satisfying once you wrap your head around it.
The ending resets one day earlier than before, to the day Tom wakes up in the helicopter (Day 1), because he absorbs the Omega's blood at the Louvre on the same day he normally wakes up (Day 2), rather than the day of the battle on the beach when he absorbs the Alpha's blood (Day 3). The part thay tripped me up the first 10 times I watched the film (😂) was assuming the visits to the admiral happened later on Day 3 (after they finally figured out how to get past the helicopter situation). But no! Tom and Emily had just stopped going to the battle on the beach on Day 3 once they realized they needed the gizmo from the admiral. So they'd sneak off the base on Day 2 for that. Then once the transfusion took place on Day 2, they had no choice but to take the battle to the Louvre on Day 2. Thus the reset from Day 2 to Day 1 when Tom absorbs the Omega's blood. the transfusion, he no longer
It's one of those great movies that got no attention at the time because it came out during the "Marvel Era", where everyone only watched the super hero movies (myself included). Same happened to Wind River, Hell or High Water, Sicario, etc., great movies that got released in 2016, 2017 and so on, and that only recently are getting the attention and praise that they deserve.
I love this movie and I love that most of you had not seen it. It's funny, through most of the video I felt like The Oak was not feeling it at all, only for him to say how much he was loving it lol. Your after movie discussion is what I really wanted to mention. I liked that it was right away and not after time to "collect your thoughts". The four of you talking about what the hell had actually happened, comparing it to Back To The Future, that conversation was the most authentic after movie discussion I've ever seen. Loved this one!
Really enjoyed you guys after movie commentary, going over all the details, figuring things out. It was a complex movie on the first watch. Its a favorite of mine, so I've seen it several times and a few reactions. It actually gets better once you understand it and you pick up more details each time.
@8:40 Answer says “the first 20 minutes is just him screaming the whole time” That’s pretty much the whole movie, and it’s hilarious every time it happens.
I haven't watched many of your reactions lately, so i forgot how Oak's face sometimes seems like he is pissed, but he is just very concentrated :) Was worried for a bit there :D I was pissed though that Mason didn't properly explain the ending to him. I was screaming to the screen "Oak, you are right to be hung up, because you all missed they went the day before".
Poor Mason didn't understand it either 😂 not even with the rewatch, once I realized that I was cracking with laughs because they tried to understand but didn't really made it😂 they know now because of the comments but I hope a future live comes soon and they talk about this one
im pretty sure that at the end it reset him to the last time the omega reset time before he got the power. so it covered him and then returned him there
Literally every reacter on RUclips who watched this movie says the exact same thing 😁 It is indeed a great movie and what else could you expect when the source material is manga! P.s. Oblivion is even more underrated, when it is also an awesome movie!
the original source material is a novel, adapted to manga, adapted to a movie. just like Bullet Train adaptation, Japanese novel needs more attention just like the manga

I’m a bit late but this is based of a Japanese novel. I didn’t read it but what i read instead is the Manga, it got adapted into Manga (Japan comic) and the Mimics is like thick round oyster with spikes so bullets is useless only melee weapons and pail drive. And exoskeleton won’t do. Their armor is like Samus Matroid armor. The ending is Vita die and Keiji A.K.A. Cage live on. Bringing Vita back and kissing scene is just a Hollywood move. P.S. the reset is 24 hours. The Omega (movie only) 36 hours for plot convenience.
Added note, the time he kill the Alpha, the blood seeps out to Cage, so no reset with the dead Alpha. Cage got reset in its stead. Same goes for the Omega. It died while the reset triggered as it loses it blood to Cage and Cage got reset from what i can see. And now there’s no Omega, imagine Tony Stark send the nuke to the mothership and all the Chiutari drop dead no longer link to their mothership “server”. Same. That’s why after the 36 hours reset they won. The Mimics just died without the Omega. If you need more details read it’s Japanese novel or the Manga. The DeathNote artist who adapted it into the manga. I won’t spoil much but the reset with the Omega didn’t happen. It’s a Hollywood move so Cage can have his happy end. Cage original name is Keiji in the novel btw.
About the last reset, ...one acceptable explanation for me is that, the Omega blood is the one he absorbed in the last reset. He is become the Omega. Which might have different rule than the Alpha he used to have. Maybe there is can only have one Omega? IDK. Other than that, it is what it is.
Not how I saw it. IMO Cage again got covered in Alpha blood at the end (the one that stabbed him as he dropped the grenades), as they were caught in the explosion. I think Cage died with Alpha blood on him while the Omega was still barely alive. He then again reset to 24 hrs prior (explosion "just before dawn in Paris"), to when he was sleeping in the helicopter on his way to London.
As a sci fi and action lover. This is one of the best out there. One of the rare movies ive rewatched many many times and still excited to watch it with you❤

One of the best reaction channels. it's only annoying when you're always trying to guess what's going to happen, if you want to know what's going to happen don't guess watch the movie you'll find out
So here is a fun thing to think about. The enemy resets the day to learn more right? When cage first goes on that beach the enemy are suspiciously well placed. They are able to hit many of the transports and have mimics buried in the sand for ambush. This tells me this isn't the first time that opening battle has played out. In fact it is possible Cage has been on that opening beach probably a hundred times before he got the power. That might even be one of the points in having the alpha there, just to see how fast it got killed. For all we know that Alpha has killed cage multiple times, so probably didn't think about charging him. The enemy got complacent and Cage took their power.
pingidjit said For Oak: The reason he wakes up earlier after killing the omega is that they killed the omega the night before the the fight on the beach. His previous reset was based on alpha blood from the next day, and this time he got omega blood from the night before. Resetting him further back in time. Edit: That actually makes sence maybe the reset is always the same amount of time from the point it happens like 24 hours back in time or something (just to use an example)... And now he was infected by the Omega BEFORE the incident on the beach thus the time moved further backwards
the confusion with the timeline mostly comes from the many skips forward within the same day until Rita's final death. when that's avoided, we get to see many of the hours we skipped, in real time, as different outcomes. THEN the car crash happens, and we get to see the night of that day and early morning of the next.
Loved this! Between this and Loki, you guys are up to your necks in time travel trippiness and it is awesome to watch! Excellent discussion with this one.
Say what you will about his personal life, but objectively speaking it's very difficult not to consider Tom Cruise in the argument of the greatest Hollywood actor of all time.
I can think of at least 25 who have had objectively more impactful, prolific, and meaningful careers off the top of my head. You clearly haven't seen enough movies to make claims like that.
He is certainly one of the greatest action stars of this generation. There are so many actors out there who have more range and have given more meaningful and groundbreaking performances. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. 😂
After the end, because he has the power of the omega if he dies(at any time-1 day or 10 years afterwards)he resets back to the begining of THAT day.He can reset back ONE day. That was the power of the Omega as it was mentioned.Hope i helped with your question as to what happens if he had a Car accident ten years in the future, reset to the begining of the day that the car accident took place.Practicaly he can't die which for me is like a God level power.
The only thing that i regret they din't touch on in the movie, was the Psychological strain of Dying constantly over and over again. They briefly allude to it , when he escapes the compound to go have a Pint in London, cause he's got enough of this and need a break. But i think that this kinda experience would leave someone scared for life.
43:47 The reason he went farther back after killing the omega is still up for debate. The most popular theory is that Tom experienced the Omega's checkpoint. If true, the war was not over, only delayed.
There's another good military film that I suggest you guys check out. It's called Spectral here is the synopsis: Soldiers battle supernatural forces that are threatening to overwhelm New York City.
Such an awesome movie! Basically what happens is the Omega lives outside of time, TC bombs it and it begins to die, TC merges with the blood of the alpha that died next to him and resets the day, then the Omega finishes dying (because the Omega doesn't exist in time). I think? haha
I always assumed that the power was 'diluted' through the Alphas, so it's essentially a less powerful version of it, which is passed on to Cage. I assumed the ending is Cage absorbing the Omega's blood/power then dying, which reset time back further. But since the Omega is dead, it's dead in the past as well, so I guess Cage is now the Omega? It's definitely not really explained and I don't think it ultimately matters. It's an extremely fun movie and I like that outside of setting up the rules for the movie, it doesn't really try and justify it further.
Here’s how it works the Alphas and Omegas can control time. When Tom got killed by the Alpha he reset to the last time the Alpha died. Resetting the day and in a way keeping the Mechs from winning the war same thing happened with Emily’s character. When Tom killed the Omega he was reset to before the war started. Before Emily’s character ingested the blood the Omega was probably resetting the days to figure out how to win the war. I hope this makes since once Tom killed the Omega and ingested its blood he reset and the humans won the war because the mechs lost the ability to reset.
Such a fun reaction, and a great, smart, and patient conversation at the end, so that everyone could figure out what happened (I had to watch the ending twice to figure out why he restarted a day earlier than usual). This one is definitely one of those sci-fi sleepers I'm always recommending to people if they missed it.
About how the ending reset works and why wasn't the Omega alive too when that reset happened, there is a proposed explanation that make sense (as much these things can make sense lol). First element of the explanation: The Omega, or its mind, is somewhat 'beyond time', not really fully withing it, such that it has the power to reset time and to remember, and it does the reset if an Alpha is killed, or if it is wounded it can reset time to save itself. But if it is killed then it's gone for good, because its existence wasn't fully within time so that bringing back time can bring it back. Second element: Cage when he took in the blood of an Alpha became an Alpha, and when he took in the blood of an Omega became an Omega, and he, because he is now an Omega, reset time due to being wounded and dying. The other Omega didn't get the chance to do that and save itself because its first wound was fatal, it was blown up from the inside. Other explanations for the ending I've seen don't really work, there's simple ones, there's some complex ones, but they have a problem explaining why isn't the alien Omega there when the reset happens. This one does the job.
Agreed with the title of video, this os seriously underrated movie. I was introduced to your channel when you watched rrr and became fan for ZNMD reaction. Feels like watching movies with buddies. ❤

I've watched this movie twice and I always thought the story was kinda straight forward. It's a really good time though! The action, the humor, the sound design. More people should watch this. Would be amazing as a Netflix show as well.
"I'm gonna stop trying to figure it out" Omg THANK YOU -- it gets under my skin when people don't want to experience a movie and just want to talk and guess the whole time. I don't need to hear every time your hypothesis changes a little bit 😂
I don't really blame them. That behavior is just made worse by movies that explain everything as they go along, because they're aimed at the lowest common denominator of the audience. Most of us have been trained for years to think that, if there's something that's not super clear, we must have missed something and immediately have to start theorizing about it or asking what happened. It's really hard to just let go and trust the movie to deliver in time. Which, tbh, not a lot do, so that also doesn't help.
Fun question to ask yourselves now: The war is over now, but what happens when Cage dies in some other way? Like a car accident or simply of old age? Does his ability still work and returns him back to that helicopter, possibly undoing the last few decades he spent living a fulfilled life?
I've always imagined an 88 year old Cage on his deathbed, surrounded by children and grandchildren and great grandchildren... "I love all of y-" BAM back on the helicopter 😂
@@michaeljacyna1973 Haha, exactly. Guess you'd be heartbroken about the loss of your family at first. Then it might be good the first few times, because you could just experience almost a whole lifetime in an entirely different way and really take it all in. But eventually, you realize that you're still stuck in a never ending time loop. ... although, Cage does have the knowledge on how to lose his ability. So I guess he still has the option to quit (or it happens naturally whenever he happens to get some major surgery along with blood transfusions).
What a wild ride and concept this was. Very underrated film here. There might be plans for another? If so, will you watch?

My mum didn't get it until a TV show here in australia called gogglebox came out and she finally understood, and now has favourite react channels 😂
@@wwoods66 totally correct! but the ending is more than worth it.
@@alexianigollarza3583 You're goddamn right it is!
And The Firm.
I have rewatched this so many times. It is awesome and I adore badass Emily Blunt. The concept is brilliant.
She 100% has the vibe of an actress who can pull of action roles. I want more! lol
@@sproductionsinc Exactly. It doesn't feel forced. She makes for a very believable bad ass.
One of the best sci-fi adapted comedies and screenplays. Glad to see all you boys haven't seen this before and enjoyed it!
You guys are awesome. Very cool that you took the time and the effort to re wind and think it out properly and respectfully showing how good this movie really is.
After I first saw this I was telling people it’s “Groundhog D-Day”.
clever
You m-m-m-make me reset
I can just imagine Oak, decades from now, when he passes away, waking up sitting at that same desk about to watch "Edge of Tomorrow". And when he realizes where and when he is, just shaking his head and uttering two words......'Oh Hell"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do you think he barely smiles? ;)
Toms transformation from a coward to a unit of a war machine was so satisfying to watch.
I worked in a movie theatre when this came out! I watched it knowing NOTHING and had the time of my life!! I love this film to this day.
I liked the part where Tom rolled under the truck and died. Because I was thinking that won’t work and then it didn’t and it was funny.
OHHH! This totally makes sense - more than any other theory. You win.

Wow, that's wild, as someone who doesn't watch many movies I usually discover a channel, and then I binge like 5-10 series that they've done in the past, and then they maybe upload something I've watched 1-2 times per year. You guys are on a row, there's chernobyl, ratatouille, now you see me, and now this.
This and Oblivion are two of the best modern Sci Fi movies that are notoriously underrated.
200% agree ☝👍
I didn't hear much about Oblivion, but it was the only thing playing that looked vaguely interesting at the time, so we went to see it. Ended up loving it.
This one I didn't see in theaters, but put it on in the background while doing homework. I did NOT get much homework done, because I got so invested.
I absolutely adore them both. I probably watch them monthly.
Not a cruise film but a Matt Damon, elysium is up there with them too modern sci fi movies. Love it.
@@OBELISK3210 Yeah that's a great movie. Story was not as good as District 9 which was Blomkamp's first hit.
The Oak's muttered "Goddamn it..." made me legit LOL 🤣
That was hilarious 😂😂😂
Just like the film’s premise I have happily rewatched this film again and again and love it every time. Glad you reacted to this and enjoyed it.
I love watching the oak work these things out. Such genuine reactions, and he always wants to understand , you can see him work the details over to get there . And not afraid to admit when he doesn't understand , to get some feedback
Wow, finally! Was so much looking forward to you guys reacting to this gem of a movie! Love your reactions! Thank you guys!
one of my favorite movies ever! i'm so happy for the past couple of years people are finally giving the recognition it actually deserves
Tom got the power from a mimic and took it over from the local omega, establishing his own save point 2-3 days before he actually obtained the power. Once he lost it, the power returned to the local omega, and its save point was restored a whole day earlier. Once Tom got the power directly from the omega, he didn't establish his own new save point, he commandeered the omega's save point.
At least that's how I read it.
I must confess that I never really understood this movie until this video, 100% I was just as confuse as the Oak and Diamond on this one, but now I get it, thanks guys! 😂
Oak's brain is MELTING! 😂 Great movie, Classic Cruise energy, I'd recommend Oblivion too that Quinn mentioned at the start for future SciFi polls!
Best part of this movie imo is when we’re clearly jumping ahead in resets, fully embracing its Groundhog Day theme
He’s aiming ahead of where the mimic is/aiming where it’s going to be, he’s dodging swings with his eyes closed, he’s had personal chats with all of J squad in the background, he knows what to do and when for so many little events
But the absolute best is the “please don’t shoot him again”
"I don't know -- we've never gotten this far before."
You guys reaction to the ending was priceless, lol I remember trying to process and how openly they ended it, pretty satisfying once you wrap your head around it.
Nice one, the Oak - first one to spot that Tom is now immortal..!
The immediate reaction was AMAZING 😂 love this channel so much.
I have to imagine the character name "Rita" is a wink at Groundhog Day. Along with "Nance" (Nancy? Nancy Taylor??)
I love your discussion afterwards 😊 - thanks for keeping it. You guys are all great!
Yeah, it's definitely worth at least one rewatch.
@8:40 Answer says “the first 20 minutes is just him screaming the whole time”
That’s pretty much the whole movie, and it’s hilarious every time it happens.
He resets to the last time he wakes up. Since he killed the Omega before the battle the day before, he resets in the helicopter.
Poor Mason didn't understand it either 😂 not even with the rewatch, once I realized that I was cracking with laughs because they tried to understand but didn't really made it😂 they know now because of the comments but I hope a future live comes soon and they talk about this one
im pretty sure that at the end it reset him to the last time the omega reset time before he got the power. so it covered him and then returned him there
Literally every reacter on RUclips who watched this movie says the exact same thing 😁
It is indeed a great movie and what else could you expect when the source material is manga!
P.s. Oblivion is even more underrated, when it is also an awesome movie!
One of those you never hear about and then you watch it... and it's fantastic.
the original source material is a novel, adapted to manga, adapted to a movie.
just like Bullet Train adaptation, Japanese novel needs more attention just like the manga
@@fajarkurniawan9434 the japos, for how weird they could be a lot of the time, are just so incredibly creative. Ain't no way anyone in the world other than them writing something like One Piece or Attack on Titan.
1) God, I love The Oak. 2) Rita's sword is a helicopter rotor blade
Can't believe this movie is almost 10yrs old, needs a sequel! Only did $371.5m on a $178m prod budget which is why it probably didn't happen as it would've needed well over $500m :(
I’m a bit late but this is based of a Japanese novel.
I hope they will try to watch Predestination which came out the same year as Edge of Tomorrow, it will be fun!
Now that's a mind-bending movie, it might just break the Oak! 😮 A fantastic movie though, it'd be worth it.😁
About the last reset,
...one acceptable explanation for me is that, the Omega blood is the one he absorbed in the last reset.
He is become the Omega. Which might have different rule than the Alpha he used to have. Maybe there is can only have one Omega? IDK.
Other than that, it is what it is.
I agree. When Cage dies after killing the Omega, the water is filled with the Omega's blood. This is why he steals the Omega's final reset.
Such a treat. Been waiting for you guys react to this movie.
As a sci fi and action lover. This is one of the best out there. One of the rare movies ive rewatched many many times and still excited to watch it with you❤
Honestly,I don’t listen to the opinions in the end of reactions often, but when I really like the film,I am here for it!And boy, what a great movie this is😄 very interesting theory from Oak about rabbit hole in the life of the main character after the story!
Because of the Omegaverse I have never been able to watch that movie with a straight face. I’m still waiting for the Alpha!Rita/Omega!Cage fanfiction. Thank you, 2009 Supernatural fandom. Truly golden years.
Oh my god thats such a good prompt
Oblivion with Tom Cruise is criminally underrated IMO.
God, the alien designs and the movement in this movie is just. SO cool. Like, that's an enemy you'd HAVE to invoke respawn time travel to fight.
this movie was actually adaptation from japanese manga. it had badass manga title "all you need is kill". too bad they changed the title for movie
Excellent job not giving away anything, Mason! Some channels people can't help but to give hints all the way through because they seen it before. Thank you
Days of Thunder and Far and Away are two of my all time favourote Tom Cruise classics
One of the most underrated sci-fi movies ever. It's my absolute fav movie of all time I've probably watched it over 50 times LMAO. Tom Cruise the GOAT. Emily Blunt was brilliant in it too. I loved Bill Paxton's character too. Can't wait for the 2nd part! Btw I loved your reaction as always, best reactors on RUclips :)
Random movie fact: The guy saying "Bloody hell its the full metal B..." is actually Emily Blunts brother...
so fun to go on this journey with you guys! Love this movie and seeing it again with your comments makes it even better. :)
The Oak thinks he knows every last angle, and with such confidence, I almost believe it. Except he's wrong every single time lol.
Best thing about Tom's latest movie deal is that he is working on part 2 of this masterpiece.
pingidjit said
For Oak: The reason he wakes up earlier after killing the omega is that they killed the omega the night before the the fight on the beach. His previous reset was based on alpha blood from the next day, and this time he got omega blood from the night before. Resetting him further back in time.
For those who don't know This movie is a LIVE ACTION ADAPTATION of Manga "ALL YOU NEED IS KILL"
and movie got Happy ending but manga does not
The original manga for this movie called "All You Need is Kill" is one of my favorite short stories ive read
especially the artist that adapted the original novel to manga is the same mangaka as Death Note. I love his art style
Oaks frustration is so palpable 😂
I remember watching it in the cinema when it came out and being absolutely giddy about it.

@@rogercase9982 I don't think it's too big of a claim to state "he's in the argument", which is exactly what I did.

If you love this i bet you'll love the hell out of Spectral 2016, super underrated movie!!! BTW great you guys reacting to this!!!
Yes! I really enjoyed that movie but not many people know about it
After the end, because he has the power of the omega if he dies(at any time-1 day or 10 years afterwards)he resets back to the begining of THAT day.He can reset back ONE day.
LOL, Oak is so blown away that he can't even filter his language (I'm not complaining, I'm laughing!!!) What a great movie!
Watch "Collateral".
Oh god, that was so good!
YES!!!
If you want to see more alien invasion with Tom Cruise check out Steven Speiberg's War of the Worlds (2005)😊
You should do " Boss Level" same groundhog day plot, has Frank Grillo and Mel Gibson. Action comedy. Really good
43:47 The reason he went farther back after killing the omega is still up for debate. The most popular theory is that Tom experienced the Omega's checkpoint. If true, the war was not over, only delayed.
There's another good military film that I suggest you guys check out.
It's called Spectral here is the synopsis:
Soldiers battle supernatural forces that are threatening to overwhelm New York City.
3:00 he was also in In Bruges! Brilliant movie.
For another timeline movie, please consider Denzel Washington's "Deja Vu" (2006). It's a very overlooked film, but I have always enjoyed it, probably mostly because its Denzel. It also has a fairly loaded cast.
Also, "Source Code" starring Jake Gyllenhall - also a time loop movie.
What a great reaction from you gentlemen. Especially from Oak with the being confused after being so confident that it was a video game. That was great. Also got to point out it's a bit funny that the lighting makes your RUclips plaque behind Answer and Mason look like the Loch Ness Monster (kind of). As always, keep up the great work gentlemen. Thank you for this one.
I'm so not a Tom Cruise fan, and I actually avoid watching anything he does, but on a trip, this movie was playing, and I got to my destination before the movie ended but I hook so I had to re-watch the movie so I could see the end. Good movie

I've watched this movie twice and I always thought the story was kinda straight forward. It's a really good time though! The action, the humor, the sound design. More people should watch this. Would be amazing as a Netflix show as well.
"I'm gonna stop trying to figure it out"
Omg THANK YOU -- it gets under my skin when people don't want to experience a movie and just want to talk and guess the whole time.
"I love all of y-"
BAM back on the helicopter 😂
@@michaeljacyna1973 Haha, exactly. Guess you'd be heartbroken about the loss of your family at first. Then it might be good the first few times, because you could just experience almost a whole lifetime in an entirely different way and really take it all in. But eventually, you realize that you're still stuck in a never ending time loop.
... although, Cage does have the knowledge on how to lose his ability. So I guess he still has the option to quit (or it happens naturally whenever he happens to get some major surgery along with blood transfusions).
This is one of my favourite movies, so happy you reacted to it. I've watched this movie maybe 6 times since it came out, never gets old.
