There were women like that (in Western societies) with piercings & tats, but you didn't see them on film & tv as much as now because of the pc culture & censorship back then. Even in everyday life. Today those norms have laxed in the same way there's more swearing, sex & violence in those same aforementioned media

I met her at DragonCon one year. I told her the truth, that she still looks beautiful and that she still looks like she would look good in the spandex. Made the woman blush! She signed a second picture for free.. proving that some women can take a sincere compliment

That is very cool she’s an icon and she has to know what effect she had on an entire generation of young men! On top of that she just seems to be so cool it’s nice when you meet someone like that someone that was a large part of your childhood a hero I guess for lack of a better word and they turn out to be all you thought they would be and more! I never met mrs grey but I have met her co-star mr Gerard and even though I caught him as he was leaving and I could tell he was tired and wanted to go he was so nice and genuine just everything you could hope for in meeting one of your hero’s! I forget exactly how long he spent talking to me telling me stories and such I was on another plane at the moment but it was so cool and I guess because I caught him as he was packing it in I got to have him all to myself no line to keep moving and such just made my year for sure..now with Cons resuming I will make it a point to get to one that both of them are attending I cant imagine meeting her too she is still so pretty and I have never heard anyone say a bad word about her she’s the epitome of a female heroine how awesome it would be to meet her!!

I watched this as a teenager back in the 80s, Erin Grey was the hottest thing I'd ever seen and 40 years later when I see these shots, there's still nothing that compares, what a bird!!

Erin Gray in Buck Rogers was one of my first crushes, along with Jenny Agutter in Logans Run I sent off for a signed photo, got back a black and white photo of her in her flight suit standing next to her ship.Happy memories

I was a limo driver in L.A years ago and had the pleasure of picking her up at LAX. As we waited in baggage claim together I told her about my school boy crush from watching her on Buck Rogers and she gave me that supernova smile. Let me tell you - what a nice person and still sexy as hell. Definitely one of my top limo driver memories.
Even as a young kid I knew there was something different about this stunner. Couldn't quite put my finger on it at the time. Sure can now!

Man, whomever was in charge of wardrobe for Buck Rogers needed to get an Emmy award for the hottest use of satin & spandex in a series or mini-series. The only episode I had trouble with was the Space Vampire one... I remember not being able to sleep for days after that episode first aired. I remember I had a centerfold poster from Starlog magazine of Erin Gray in the GREEN satin jumpsuit on my wall in my room. Still have it somewhere.
It's too bad that A) Gil Gerrard hated the role and B) that they decided to make such audience-abandoning wholesale changes to the scope and tone of the second season. Hawk was a decent character, but the character assassination of Wilma Dearing's role from tough, take no nonsense starfighter pilot to ships' entertainment director aboard The SS Searcher (aka The Space Love Boat) was just unforgivable. Then getting rid of Dr. Theopolus in favor of that 10 foot tall aluminum coffee pot droid, my God.
The second season of Buck was akin to Galactica 1980...they took two great sci-fi formula shows and totally destroyed them.
They even changed Twiki's iconic voice and expected no one to not notice?
@@JENDALL714 I think I read recently that Mel Blanc had become ill and was unable to voice Twiki for the first few episodes of Season 2. Then he was able to come back just before the series was cancelled. The thing I don't get is why couldn't they find a better match for what Mel Blanc had created for Twiki. Why pick some voice actor with a super high pitched voice and abandon the raspy baritone voice. SURELY there was a voice actor in Hollywood that was able to replicate Mr. Blanc's sound at least SOMEWHAT close! LOL

@@JENDALL714 Although admittedly, Mel Blanc's son never got his father's magic exactly spot-on, he definitely would have done better than whoever it was they had fill in for sure!
