Thank you for this great tutorial! I made a small change - I tried, but I couldn't turn that small tunnel inside out, so I unraveled it, then I turned inside out the bigger part, made this small one, and at the end I turned back the bigger part back, and I got the same result. :)
Genius. I've been crocheting for years, and I've never seen an invisible decrease. I love the tube-within-the-holder idea for the cover. If you wrap a few rubber bands around the masking tape-covered crochet hook, it could provide some more traction and keep the hooks from moving around. I've also come to like using magic loops and think it might be a good adaptation to this holder. Another compliment. I like the music, soft piano instrumental that you used with this video. I am a new RUclips creator @The-Best-Stuff-For-Kids and @JustPassingThrough-222, and I am still learning my craft. I also had the idea to crochet a bunch of bendable dolls I could position and a doll house for them to be in for the kid's channel. Subscribed now to your channel, and I enjoy your outlook, your patience, and your clarity.
Thanks for your kind words! Yes I agree about the rubber bands, I tried that later on for improved traction and it holds much better. Glad to meet a new youtuber in the crochet space!
It also reminds me of a tea cozy but for a hook And let me tell you I've had the urge to crochet around something since I noticed this international movement of people crocheting around traffic lights, bicycle stands etc To do it in a tiny scale on a little metal bar is gonna be satifying 😁
Thank you TvT as someone who's used to knife grip while crocheting, my muscle below my pinky hurts from all the repeated rubbing of the metal on my palm as I crochet. My shoulder doesn't hurt, my wrist doesn't hurt but I have to stop because my palm felt like it's gonna get bruised if I continue. I don't really wanna buy rubbers yet cause I'm broke as heck. I will definitely try this!
It would probably fit a pencil already, depending on the size. If you want to make the tube bigger you can have one less decrease to up the stitch count of the inner tube by one, and the inverse for making it smaller. Hope that helps.
Because it's essentially a tube inside another tube so that you can stuff it. Others have said that there is an easier way to do it, if you crochet the larger tube inside out initially and then after decreasing for the smaller tube you can flip the larger tube right side out instead of the smaller one. I hope that made sense.

Awesome, yeah thats a great work around, maybe even works better!

this is lowkey genius tysm for the tutorial!!
Awesome! I hope it helps people
Very clever. For some reason a lot of “make a hook handle” videos are popping up for me. I rather like this one best… so far. Thanks for the idea.
I love your approach
Very meta and very crafty 😊
Fantastic idea! The best grip I've seen. Thanks.
Awesome, glad you like it.
Oooh and I could imagine you could use wool fleece and a felthing needle to harden it up !
That might work! I've never tried felting on crochet before.

Awesome! Yeah I'm always thinking about what can I make at home before I have to buy something else.
Thank you so much! This has been great to use
That's awesome, great to hear!
Hi! I'm a beginner to crocheting. If i want to make it rounder and fit to a pencil, what should i adjust? Thank you🩷

@@Corduroykidd thank you sm!
Can I ask why turning inside out?

😭*cries in pencil grip* there is never a solution for us 😞
They make nice tapered handles now that might work for you? I'm not sure.
