Corduroykidd is a brand for people who want to shop slow fashion or make their own clothes but stand out while doing so-there is no need to compromise when it comes to colour. Release your inner kidd and see what we have to offer.
My name is Ryan. I'm 20 years old and I currently live in Seattle. I've lived in the PNW most of my life and learned to knit when I was six so I've been doing this for quite a long time.
The Loves-Me-Knot Bag valentines day crochet pattern — Corduroykidd
I'm super happy with how this one came out. It's pretty quick too, maybe 2-3 hours in total. I'd say this pattern is intermediate using the full range of crochet stitches and different techniques.

Crochet Creeping Crow Plushie Pattern - Corduroykidd

I love crows. They're actually my favourite animal. I just love how creepy and shifty they are. Plus the fact that they're just always around. There's something magical about them to me. This is an advanced beginner project and is all single crochet. *Here you can find the paid printable copy www.etsy.com/listing/1583615674/creeping-crow-crochet-pattern-black?click_key=8888af7a45606d56fccf379d8...

So cute!! Just discovered your channel and I like your vibe lots :)
Aw, thank you!
Amazing pattern, it turns out so cute and the shaping was on point ❤
gonna add a hood ti this
After having issues with the clarity of the written pattern in the description (you say to knit instead of k1p1 for the decreasing), I went and purchased the Etsy pattern. Needless to say, all of the questions people are asking in the comments are actually just behind a paywall! Don't share a free pattern that is incorrect and then make the corrected version paid. Not cool.
I really resent your implications that I'm somehow scamming people with my free pattern. I always answer people's questions because I like helping new knitters. The paid pdf version is never required but appreciated. You yourself said it was obvious that the whole hat was in k1p1, but then complain about being confused. I wrote knit because it is shorter than saying "continue in the established k1p1 pattern throughout the decrease rows." I assumed it was self explanatory. Everyone's brain works differently. I have people tell me this was the easiest hat pattern they've ever made and then I have others who struggle and have to start over multiple times. You could have nicely asked me to change the wording in the description and I could have done that, but instead you decided to attack my character which is really uncalled for.
It looks so nice!
Thank you. Your sewing technique makes it so much easier. So cute
Awesome, I'm glad!
Thanks so much for this video! Great teacher!
Oooh and I could imagine you could use wool fleece and a felthing needle to harden it up !
That might work! I've never tried felting on crochet before.
So hypothetically... I could crochet a few of those... And hide them around my school as a prank... What's stopping me? I have zero (0) black yarn in my supplies right now
They could be rainbow blackbirds? Collect a full set?
@@Corduroykidd Best idea ever! Thank you :D my school shall be invaded
This video is really unclear… Really frusterating How do you know where to keep decreasing after you start the first round?
You can either count like I did or you can place a marker before each decrease point.
This lil dude looks familiar
oh?
Imo it kinda looks like Walden, the crow from the webtoon Realta
@@ponyosurlafalaise1186 I've never heard of that one, might have to check it out!
Love this! Thank you
Thanks for watching!
this is so cool looking omg 😍💖
And its been around for hundreds of years, how did they come up with this stuff?
Now I'm struggling to make the wings lol The yarn is dark and I can't see the stitches, I'm going nuts
Yeah, working with black is tough, trying going outside in natural light or working right underneath a desk lamp. Lighting is key.

Genius. I've been crocheting for years, and I've never seen an invisible decrease. I love the tube-within-the-holder idea for the cover. If you wrap a few rubber bands around the masking tape-covered crochet hook, it could provide some more traction and keep the hooks from moving around. I've also come to like using magic loops and think it might be a good adaptation to this holder. Another compliment. I like the music, soft piano instrumental that you used with this video. I am a new RUclips creator @The-Best-Stuff-For-Kids and @JustPassingThrough-222, and I am still learning my craft. I also had the idea to crochet a bunch of bendable dolls I could position and a doll house for them to be in for the kid's channel. Subscribed now to your channel, and I enjoy your outlook, your patience, and your clarity.
Thanks for your kind words! Yes I agree about the rubber bands, I tried that later on for improved traction and it holds much better. Glad to meet a new youtuber in the crochet space!
Pls tutorial
@@zosiaanaa3526 it’s not my pattern so I can’t make a tutorial 🙂
@@Corduroykidd excuse may I know the source of the pattern?
@@김춘배-u1g It's the Giant Snail pattern by Crafty Intentions on Etsy.
@@Corduroykidd really thank you
Hii if I want to follow this pattern but with custom measurements, how would I go about doing that? Like how many stitches to cast on?
Gauge is 6.25 stitches to the inch in ribbing and 7.5 rows per inch. The pattern is in done in multiples of 8. Because of the ribbing you'd take your head measurement minus 4 inches and multiply by gauge and then choose the closest multiple of 8.
@@Corduroykidd thank you so much for your helpful response!
I don't understand how you have the patience to finish this in a day. Ive had mine for a fews days, and im just over half way done lol
Because I have unhealthy boundaries haha
My beak doesnt look like yours, im not sure what im doing wrong, but mine is way too wide and not long as yours, like a little ball
@@physicslawss hmm, I don’t know, are you tightening the magic circle well enough? It is a bit of an awkward piece to work on. Are you sure you have the right stitch count for each round?

Very clever. For some reason a lot of “make a hook handle” videos are popping up for me. I rather like this one best… so far. Thanks for the idea.
Hello, is this pattern beginner friendly
Yes and no, maybe not a very first project, but since it works up so quick it's okay if you make mistakes.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! YOU ARE SO TALENTED!! I AN SO PROUD OF YOU, I CANNOT IMAGINE THAT BEING EASY! KEEP IT UP!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
It was a lot of small colour changes, but it was fun :)
It also reminds me of a tea cozy but for a hook And let me tell you I've had the urge to crochet around something since I noticed this international movement of people crocheting around traffic lights, bicycle stands etc To do it in a tiny scale on a little metal bar is gonna be satifying 😁
I love your approach Very meta and very crafty 😊
i love when i see vids of boys crocheting usually i see just girls
Hi, do you think one could make this with DK weight yarn?
Others have done it so I don't see why not. Try 2-3 testing rows and measure it to see how off the numbers are, then you can start over and add more stitches if needed. Maybe try a larger hook as well.
I am new knitter and really want to make a simple watch cap, this is by far the best video I have see for doing that! Thank you so much!
Awesome! Great to hear it.
😭*cries in pencil grip* there is never a solution for us 😞
They make nice tapered handles now that might work for you? I'm not sure.
Saw this I immediately knew I need this for my market making it now this looks awesome
That’s amazing, hope it does well at your market!
Hello, are you going to make a master class on this wonderful monster?
This is not my pattern, so no I won’t be making a tutorial.
@@Corduroykidd Very disappointing
Mad skillz and the song matched so well!! ❤
Thanks 😊
hi, i probably didn't catch it but how many balls of yarn do you need for this beanie? thank u♥
It's about 250 metres depending on the length and size.
im surprised ive never seen that magic ring trick till now, soo helpful, thank you !
Awesome! Glad I could teach you something new. I’m all about efficiency.
I have tried the beak a million times and it is so impossible. I'm frustrated that I spent money on this pattern for it to not come out right (and for it to be free on RUclips)
What part are you stuck on exactly? Also the link for the video was in the description of the etsy listing. I'm always transparent with which of my patterns have free video versions.
Can i use this exact method to knitt the hat, because i dont have the circular knitting neadles and m not that expirienced in knitting
Unfortunately it's not possible to knit ribbing sideways. You can knit a simple beanie sideways, I just don't have a pattern for that. I'm sure you can find one on youtube.
SO cute
Thanks :)
How many skeins did you use, and which type of yarn?
It's bernat pipsqueak and I think I used 5 skeins.
@@Corduroykiddim Sorry to bother u again but, how long did it take in total and how long did sewing take?
@@Nora_edits123 I think I worked on it every day for a week. The sewing probably took a couple hours at the end.
Thank u!
Thank you ❤
Why is this not a popular pattern?? It's so cute and I was able to make my lil crow in 2 hours! I would definitely say this is beginner friendly :)
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
Is it easy to do ?
I mean easy is subjective. I don't think it's too hard for beginners, its really just sc back and forth. The hardest part is keeping all the yarns from tangling so if you try a project pick one with only a couple colours.
Its a banana slug♥️
Hi! I'm a beginner to crocheting. If i want to make it rounder and fit to a pencil, what should i adjust? Thank you🩷
It would probably fit a pencil already, depending on the size. If you want to make the tube bigger you can have one less decrease to up the stitch count of the inner tube by one, and the inverse for making it smaller. Hope that helps.
@@Corduroykidd thank you sm!
Can I ask why turning inside out?
Because it's essentially a tube inside another tube so that you can stuff it. Others have said that there is an easier way to do it, if you crochet the larger tube inside out initially and then after decreasing for the smaller tube you can flip the larger tube right side out instead of the smaller one. I hope that made sense.
my brother will love, thanks kindly
Awesome!
what do u do with your ends?
I just tie them together in the back or the ones I can’t I weave in. It’s a lot of ends if you weave in all of them.
Fantastic idea! The best grip I've seen. Thanks.
Awesome, glad you like it.
genius! repost this so more people can find out about this idea. the ergos i wanted from the store are 87 bucks: you just saved me a ton of money!😊
Awesome! Yeah that was the same for me, ergonomic hooks are so expensive.
