Kenner made such great JP Toys, it’s the reason these items are now so collectible now. Many of the Kenner prototype items command big $ in the collector world, and as with Star Wars, JP has some gems like the Trikes and such. This episode was cool to see when it came out, I’ve been collecting MIB and loose JP items for many many years and have never come across anything similar to these items in terms of rarity. Very cool to at least see them and appreciate what they are. As with the Rocket Firing Boba Fett from Star Wars, here is another example of an item “almost” released to market and haulted prior to release due to legal concerns...the Tike’s pointed horns. Anyway, thanks for posting this years ago for everyone to enjoy. I liked Toy Hunter and wish it was still being made.
Look at that basement! I would be in heaven. You can tell they have series money. The reason that Trike was never released was because they thought kids would poke themselves with the sharp horns and get hurt.
So much sense now mannn,!
Wow!
Fuk the KIDS we need THIS THE WORLD NEEDS OT
@1:37 Holy FUCKING SHIT!! Do you guys see how many Ultimasaurs they have!? There's like 4 or 5 behind him to the right!
The triceratops was an unreleased figure from the Lost World. It was supposed to come with a tent. Kenner didn't release it because of the sharp horns on its head.
SomaSaysMeep That's the same problem with the chaos effect Ultimasaurus.
Now, they have the Mattel 2.0 version of the Triceratops with that colorations.
The fact those men own so much I don't have/can't afford makes me very happy for them but also jealous
I’ll never understand why the new JW toys have that hard plastic rather than “real feel” rubber skin. It makes so much of a difference in quality and aesthetics and it’s just way cooler to be honest to feel the rubber instead of hard toy plastic. Smh
as a collector of these figures ,i would say the rubber is more expensive, than the cheaper plastic they use on the jw figures...the figure quality has gotten better, but jw toyline still feels a step below the jp toyline...
It's was one of the most praised sculpts by Joe Devito and it was never released.
So that’s where the holy grail is.
they were never produced for sales, they were just made for the prototype stage and never went further than that...to own one being a collector myself is freaking awesome the prototypes are soooo rare!
Crazy they actually exist!!!
i always wondered if they did exist simply because of contradicting reports on various sites..some stated they knew they did and others stated they never existed outside of the prototype sculpt for the photos..
Jurassic Park is one of my all time favorite movies. I had most of the toys from the first movie and some from The Lost World.
He's got 4 prototypes of the fricking Ultimasaurus! Even the Desert Spinosaurus and even Chaos Effect Night Hunters Series stuff! And those two were extremely lucky and rich
no they got most of their collection from flea markets and yard sales in the early 2000s before the boom of ebay and reselling
All those Chaos Effect figures. 😍
the toys are awesome
Does anyone know if those 2 guys ken and derek got some website or blog with pictures of their entire collection?
i love toys
Hi guys... I possibly have a series of JP toys even more rare then the prototypes shown here. I bought a series of figures that were sold the same day as the movie release in 1993. Me and my family bought them at the theatre itself. They do not have movable limbs and do have the JP logo on them but i cant find a single picture of them online to know their value.

T-Bone Those arent too rare i remember seeing those on ebay for not that much but the trike in this video is impossibe to get
T-Bone these are more common than you think, and pale in comparison to prototypes of the Kenner figures, especially unreleased one's. No offense but the figures they showed here hold more value.
Ken is lucky because he has the gulper T. rex
and thrasher one
That's just the bull t rex prototype.
I want that painted trike !!!!! I would do anything for it Jordan got so lucky to find it
In the beginning of the episode, he visited a former Kenner employee who had them.
me encanta O.O
Hit the nail in tge head " can't find it anywhere but when you do its expenisve"
Why the fuck would he open a prototype sealed in a bag? It would be worth so much more if he left it in the bag... SMH 😑
Those were prototypes and they look much better than the ones that came out...
Thats one of the reasons. All of these are unique. 1/1, no way you will find another one lol.
I want that triceratops
6K is a great deal for those...... If anyone else had the opportunity at that time, im sure they would have jumped on that,. Shame though that those are all PC.....
What was the action features of those triceratops (sorry for my english it's not my mother tongue
Dino damage on the back , probably had a ramming action feature like the 93 trike
I got 11 of them for $5
Dilophosaurus Films the Trikes? If so can I buy one from you!?? For real though.
I’ll buy at least one from you for $680
I wish they still make these. Jurassic World Toyline is cheap man, why didn't they do more like JP3 line. So glad Mattel has the licence.
It's the SAME with most companies nowadays that make video games, movies and toys: Cheapskates. Kenner Toys had more dedication and imagination for making such GREAT figures and had to put plenty of money into designing their toy lines. Now these days... it's all about making $$$$$$$$, not making great products with top quality. JP Kenner figures for life! Screw Hasbro...
Maybe Bebi Mattel seems to show that they care unlike those fuckers at Hasbro. Which is funny when you think of it but, Hasbro essentially killed Kenner when they bought them and got rid of that part of Thier company. The only thing they have ownership of is the original molds and prototypes now. Glad Mattel is showing that classic Kenner style love with the real feel mosasaur and making sure their Dinosaurs scale well with eachother and the humans and vehicles.
Amritveer 101 Mattel's toy are awesome, they even rival Kenner!
jp3 line sucked

Why the triceratops of TLW never camed true!!!??? I want one so bad :(

Pardon my ignorance (I'm not a collector but am a huge JP fan), but whats the big deal about the triceratops figures?
unreleased toys
Sathya Subramaniam it was never release because Kenner(the company that produces them) thought the horns can poke the eyes of kids who played with them. it was basically ready to be released but was quickly turned down. if you want to know more, then go to jptoys.com a site, dedicated for the toy collectors of Jurassic park. and if I were you, you should be interested on what you will see ;)
