I can speak from personal experience Princess MOA has that effect on everyone. Took my Granddaughter to (2) Babymetal shows & she cosplays as MOA head to toe & the Girls especially MOA were so sweet to her & kept interacting w/Her during the show, we post up stage left on the barrier, thats always been Moa's side. Love these girls & how special they make the fans feel. The One isn't a gimmick they love their fans.
I love hearing stories like that! And I love how BABYMETAL is a great way for parents/grandparents can bond with their kids/grandkids. Corey Taylor from Slipknot in an interview basically said that he discovered BABYMETAL through his young son and you know they bonded over their BABYMETAL experience.

I was at the Melbourne Australia show, so some of that horrible singing might have been me. 😂 The security at that show were really nice. They gave us bottles of water during the show.

Distortion was also shown briefly. Metali is when they are telling everyone to kneel down. Su can get the crowd to do whatever she wants: jump, kneel, mosh, circle, you name it. We love Omajination! From their start til now Babymetal has remained humble and grateful for all their fans. They keep a high standard for themselves because of this. Yes, SIT DOWN. Su always tells people to sit down during that part of that song. When I saw them in Munich in 2023, and I didn't sit down immediately, the security guy in front of me even ordered me to sit down. When Queen Su gives an order, you obey. 😉
Nice reaction Regarding the "take your phone out": When you look closely at the venues played in Japan, you seldomly see people with their phones in their hand. Out of respect for the band but also for the other fans, that are behind one. I read it in another comment, that when Su "asked" the venue to take out their phones for the first time during this section, they were confused and a bit slow to react. Now it is known and everybody is prepared and obeying Su.

Houston, Texas was the first show on their USA leg of their 2023 world tour, so it was the first time performing the song "Metali (feat. Tom Morello)" here in the US. During that song they tell the crowd to get low or sit down, then Momometal does something special. After Momometal is done and the music drops, the crowd jumps up and goes crazy! And if I remember from the fan cams, Houston crowd went crazy! The next day they were in Dallas. I don't know if this is true, but I read a comment explaining that the sitting down/get low part has a connection to a Japanese festival tradition where the people get low to let the spirits fly over, or something like that.🤘🦊🤘

Corey Taylor used to do the "sit down" thing in Slipknot shows too. When you can do it at festivals where not everybody is there to see you specifically, but they do it anyway (and I've seen both Corey and Su do this) you gotta know you're absolutely killing it.
Late to the party here but I was at the Melbourne show and I do remember the man with the beard enjoying it. There also was a person on the side, making sure that people from the seated area don't go to the floor, which was enjoying it as well, but no shots of him as he was to the side.

METALI is an insane song, I just love it so much, the MV aesthetic is so cool and live there crowd goes really crazy, plus it might be my favourite BABYMETAL song in terms of lyrics, it just got stuck in my head, the only live I leave the lyrics on because it's just that cool and badass 🦊.
That show in Milwaukee was killer, I was up in the balcony, and I noticed that security guy getting into it. 🤘The shows in Japan are next level compared to the ones in the US. When Su can get packed arenas to get on their knees and bow during Headbanger!!!! that's a sight to see. They usually perform in the Southside Ballroom which can get a bit cramped, but as expected they always put on a great show!
In Japan, cameras - and thus phones - are not generally allowed at concerts. I love that - it's like back in the 70's and 80's, when we just used to enjoy the performance. Also, encores are never asked for (though the last song is always announced as such before it begins) as this would imply that the band haven't already given 100%. 🦊🤘🤘🦊

For many months now i only listen to japanese bands. From Jazz to Funk to Rock to Metal, Japan has it all. Babymetal and Band-Maid are amazing but my favorite band is Nemophila.
