Don’t know if you remember this but I asked a couple days ago if the user’s weight influences the stall force needed and whether I should go for the Elite or the Prime. Welp I actually bought both and prefer the Prime in every single way! Being a petite woman at 5’3 and 100lbs, I think my size definitely played an important role here. Since I am not seeing any reviews online regarding this, below are my reasonings in case anyone is in the same boat - 1. Although they are of the same weight, the Prime is smaller and feels way easier to maneuver. I have small hands for an adult woman and often have to hold the Elite with both hands, which can be hard for some positions. Also with shorter arms, it’s just easier to hold a a smaller device, especially when getting at the back. 2. The Elite has 10lbs more stall force than the Prime, but I never reach full pressure on either device anyway. Partially because keep pushing 30lbs for minutes nonstop is not breezy work for me, and my muscles get sore/tightened not even half way through, which defeats the purpose of using this device... Also more importantly, my body (especially the upper body) just can’t take that much pressure. Their app can sense the pressure you’re applying and tells if you’re going under or too much. I’m going way below the recommended pressure because if I go any further, I‘d feel my entire skeleton (and probably organs) vibrating and want to throw up... So skinny people be aware - we don’t have that muscle/fat cushion 😂 Other non-petite-size-related reasons to pick the Prime - 1. The Elite has an OLED display but it’s impossible to look at during a lot of the positions. I find myself always looking at the app anyway - maybe it’s just me, but it feels nicer to know exactly where I am in the session instead of waiting for the sudden stop. 2. The Prime is a bit quieter. 3. The Prime’s full matte body looks way better and cleaner. It’s probably the least important thing but the Elite collects fingerprints like crazy...
Best Massage Tech true but I can imagine if you put it on a slippery surface with sweat or lotion it might be problematic. Not the biggest deal but still a poor design choice IMHO
Great review! One piece that's also worth mentioning is the fact that the Theragun Pro doubles the manufacturer's warranty from one to two years! Useful to know when making an investment like this.
Great review. I may have mentioned on another vid of yours but I just purchased the Elite and while its only been 4-5 days, this thing is just superb. I don’t need the stall force of the PRO, nor do I need all the additional attachments or the moving head. This thing is PLENTY powerful and I love very deep massage. Have yet to have it stall out on me. Quality build and always accessible. Bought it initially for a few sore spots, but now just using more for just general relaxation. The only minor struggle I have is starting the thing up each time. Unsure if I’m supposed to hold button down or just hit it once, but seems to have a mind of its own about when it starts up. Haven’t used the app, cuz it just seems a bit goofy and over engineered to me.
Dude....I've watched a lot of reviews on a lot of products... STELLAR job on this one. Absolutely nothing wasteful throughout your presentation. Every detail I would hope to hear about the products. Very thorough but precisely to the point. Two thumbs up man.
These reviews are so good. Always Exactly what I’m looking for. Would love to see videos of self treatment on specific areas (mainly looking for glute, ITB, TFL) sadly the app doesn’t have anything for TFL. Thanks! Keep them comin!
Thank you for the kind words. Not sure I will get around to any self treatment videos that specific, but I come across any useful resources I'll gladly share.
What an amazing review!!!!!! Subbed and liked. I’m debating between the pro and elite. The quietness of the elite draws me towards it. But if the pro isn’t that much louder, but a whole lot better, then I would def want the pro. I will be using this for neck knots, shoulder pain, knee pain, lower back pain, foot pain. I have a rare auto immune disease that has morphed that fascia in so parts of my body (calf’s, arms, feet) so I really want to invest in the best. I’ll just be using this on myself and my wife. I can afford the pro. Do you recommend that for me over the elite? Also. I do not fully understand what and why the stall force is important. I’m no athlete but I will start mountain biking every other day... Thanks for your help!!!
I feel like the pro model is aimed at trainers or other sports medicine professionals who would use it all day on other people. For an individual (even if money is no issue) it seems overkill. Features like an articulating head and multiple batteries don’t benefit the average person using it on themself. If you really want the best and have $600 to spend, consider an elite and a mini for the road.
Hi man, I would like to start off by thanking you for these amazing reviews! I've got a question though, TheraBody states that the Elite one is their the quietest device whereas from your data it shows that the Prime one is quieter? Could you please provide me with some more info on the topic? Sincerely thank you!
mattwegorzewski thanks for the kind words. I’m not sure what else I can provide you with other than the data I’ve gathered. From my tests, the prime is quieter.
Christina Jatras yes I can. However, Kraftgun is going to be releasing a new model so not sure how relevant that video would be. Do you currently own a Kraftgun or are you looking to buy one? I can personally tell you the Kraftgun is quieter than the PRO
@@BestMassageTech i bought the theragun G3pro a couple weeks ago. Then found out about the G4. So i was able to return my G3 for a refund. So wanting to know if I should get the G4pro or kraftgun. So i am basically in a holding pattern at the moment. And theragun says G4pro is much quieter than G3 but doesn't seem to be based on the videos.
Excellent review! This is a bit off topic, but I just have to say that Nike shirt you're wearing in this video is really nice! If you don't mind, what size/style is that? I have a similar body type to yours.
Mark Dobmeier hey I tried to figure out the style but can’t find it online. It’s a Nike Dri Fit size small. I know there’s a lot of options when it comes to their Dri Fit line. This one is a bit more stretchy, more like a compression shirt than a t shirt.
Hi love your videos keep them coming, it’s really hard to make a decision on this. And thankful that you make these videos with such detail. Here’s my question ... is the Theragun Pro 4th gen , the best massage gun out there ? Better than hypervolt ? Sonic ? Vybe etc ? Are there any one that deliver heat at the same time to relax the muscle ... ?
In my opinion, the Theragun PRO is the best one out there. The TimTam Power Massager Pro has the capability of delivering heat through one of it's attachments. The heat is only noticeable on lower speeds though from what I've experienced.
Great reviews. I am on the fence between the Elite and the Pro. The big selling point for me is the removable batteries. If the battery on the Elite is easily replaceable then I will go with that, but if it isn't, and with my experience with Lithium Ion batteries usually lasting 13 months before they no longer hold a good charge, then I will go with the Pro. Can you share if the Elite can be unscrewed to take apart easily or it is snapped/glued together where it will most likely break trying to disassemble it?
Mystic Grower it appears to be the latter. Not sure it would be an easy dis-assembly. Don’t see any screws so assuming glue is involved. Shoot me an email before you buy.
@@BestMassageTech I have the same question. Do you still use the Elite and does the battery hold up? Would not mind a couple of years of use out of it.

Hard to say since you have a hard time reaching those areas. I got the Prime. He shows in other videos how to mount it between your couch cushions and it works great!
It can be difficult to reach certain parts of your back with almost every massage gun. As Tim mentioned, I do have a video showing a few different things to consider, as well as two attachments you can get to assist specifically with your back. The Elite and Prime are about the same size as the G3. The key is ensuring you are holding it in the proper way that allows you to reach your back. I wouldn't recommend the Mini as a primary device.
