I just bought the elite from these guys and they were VERY helpful. In my view you don’t need the Pro version unless you’re a physical therapist or professional athlete which most of us are not. Pro is also a bit heavier. There is absolutely no way I’d want to go stronger than 40 which is what the Elite offers. Elite just kicks @ss!
    Love my new Theragun!

One thing no one is pointing out about the pro model is the adjustability of the massage head. If you are alone and need to reach mid back area this adjustability of the head will allow you to reach areas of the back that the other models will not. Being 50 years old I get catches all the time mid back and this is the reason I took the plunge on the pro...hope this helps someone make a better decision

My personal thoughts: I'm a larger high school athlete (280 pounds) and I bought the pro. I've used the elite and prime and while they worked well on my smaller muscles, they simply didn't work on my big muscles, specifically my quads. This is a big issue because as a defensive lineman my quads need to be loose and pain-free. I personally think if you are leaner or just generally on the smaller side, the prime is best as I really couldn't tell much of a difference in power level between the prime and elite, but if you are a large athlete with more mass, then you should definitely spend a little more on the pro. Also, as a side note; if you're debating the theragun vs hypervolt in any way, I would go with the theragun, it has much more percussive strength, while the hypervolt simply has speed that makes it feel like nothing but vibrations.

    • @crazybutter8554
      @crazybutter8554 2 года назад +3

I totally agree with going for the theragun. The hypervolt is just a toy for bigger guys. I just wanted to mention I've got two theraguns, and hammering my legs simultaneously, it seems to do the trick. It really is a huge relief, as nothing else can massage more effectively than these babies.

I bought both the Prime and the Pro to try. Though I found the Pro a bit more elegant it did not provide me with a superior massage. They both have the same five speeds and the 30lbs was more than enough to satisfy my needs. Also, the Prime fits my hand a bit better...the Pro is a bit too thick. I did like the soft sponge attachment that comes with the Pro and I plan on buying that separately....it's great for soft tissue. I will be returning the Pro.

Thanks for this info. Super-useful! I was struggling to figure out which tool does what and what differentiates them. There’s not a lot between the Elite and the Prime but the cordless charger and wedge attachment for ITB work are good options. Now just working out of they’re worth the extra cost + the cost of the charger. Thanks again 🙏🏻

Quick question. All things considered I’m not really worried about the extra bells and whistles of the elite vs the prime. That said I guess it comes down to stall force. How much different is the elite 40 lb vs the prime 30 lb in real world use? I like deep tissue massage but how much different is the 10 lbs going to be noticeable for the average person? Thanks great video

Do the Elite vs Prime both have the same noise level? Seems like you're just deciding with the wireless charging and force meter OLED when getting the Elite vs the Prime. If those don't matter you save the $100 and go w/ the prime, noise and general recovery are my priorities.

Can you do a video that compares the sound back to back with the elite and pro?
I want this for knots, lower back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain. I am not an athlete. I just want the best massager. I get a little confused. Are these for recovery or for massaging? Or both? Lol.
I don’t care about price. I just want to get the best so I’m debating between the pro and elite. If the elite is much quieter, I’ll want that one. Would a regular (non professional) consumer like myself benefit from the pro?

She’s now doing massage therapy and going to a chiropractor but I’d want something that would help her manage the pain and tightness and not have to spend the extra $ on visits, unless necessary. Which one do you recommend?

    • @mosiah9205

Hey, not OP, but thought I’d chime in. Theragun (Therabody) actually recommends that their massage guns *not* be used above C4 and I see why. I got the Mini and whenever I use it around my shoulders, I feel an uncomfortable rumble in my head. Something like how I would imagine shaking baby syndrome might feel like?
Anyway, if her neck pain is low enough on her neck, I’d say the mini would be amazing. I’m extremely happy with mine and I’ll be buying some attachments for it soon.

Hey Sandra, so I went with the Pro because the Elite wasn't available anymore in my country :/
I say it's good, not too hard, but I do like to use the lowest speed, one of the major plus I think is the extra battery, definitely helps if you got multiple people at home
But regardless I would say Elite is probably the better choice for most, I am assuming you are a girl...and for what it seems those who are thin might want a bit less force than heavy fat/muscle people
I'm pretty normal on the slim/average side and can take the 60lb, just not near vulnerable areas like neck (but you can control how deep you press)
Umm yeah...I say Elite is a solid choice probably...the pro is good if you got many people, want adjustable head (which is only good if you are alone), are a heavier build or super active
And the pro does have 2 year warranty and "commercial motor" which I am assuming would last longer hopefully or be more powerful...the removable battery is also kinda a longevity
I say go for Elite, unless ^ is true

The battery will obviously degrade over time, given how expensive the machines are, is it worth going for the Pro model so that the battery can be easily replaced?

I've got the older theragun G3 for 2 years now, which is like the prime. It was also said that the battery would last 120minutes, but it never lasted that long. Now at its highest setting and medium duty, it lasts like 30 minutes, but with heavy duty (pushing hard) it only lasts 20 minutes. It did degrade quite fast to this point but it seems at a stable point now, but it really is annoying that you dont always have enough charge for the massage required... the charging stand would be a huge help with that

@crazybutter same with my 2 week old Elite. I normally use it at 2100 and in about 12 minutes to 15 it goes from full to maybe 60 percent. 2

Yes, but only use the soft attachment - Theragun provides. Included in the box on certain models or you can buy the head separate on their website.

Because I am a content creator too I gave you upvote as I know it is hard to start a channel. But you must know that the transition sound is awfull and not jsut annoying but painfull to hear. You have THOUSANDS of free special effects sounds to choose ... pick up one that is NICE.

I smell something similar after a while after I use my G3. I think it's normal for a new gun and hopefully will dissipate.

You can't review anything without mentioning the price, I love it when these assholes don't tell you how much things cost. Why? Because it lets you know that the reviewer is being compensated. We all know this guy did not buy thousands of dollars of massage units just to review them.

These things are just overpriced to manufacture this thing for the big ones was probably maybe 20 bucks $30 tops if that , I bet you they have a freaking replica one like this that works exactly the same that cost a hundred bucks
