Went and got myself the 4th gen on discount. I recommend the 4th while you can. 4th comes with 2 removable battery, apart from being quieter everything is the same, plus, it even comes with a nice carrying case.
How well does the removable battery last so far? If they ever spoil (beyond the 90 day warranty) can you ever purchase them again? Seems like the only option is to buy a new gun entirely
I just got one and had to return it because the batteries didn’t charge past 84%. New one seems all good. But now the gen5 is on sale for the same price. I think I’d prefer only one battery and usbc. Gen4 dock and brick having to take battery out is kinda annoying. And now I don’t have faith they’ll last.
Why can't we used them while plugged in? It would make it independent from batteries. Without the possibility of plugging it it while in use we can use the device until the battery reaches all the cycles. In that case we would have to buy another battery and no one assure you you will find the same battery in a few years, so probably you will have to buy another device. Thoughts?
I had my doubts about 150 minutes they claim for each battery. So a few days ago I timed it. Each time using it I used my phone timer to start and stop the time as I was using it. So a fully charged battery lasted 77 minutes while I used the gun at the low speed. 77 minutes is half of what they are claiming. Have you timed the battery yet? I suggest timing the battery because you might be in for a big surprise. 2:51
Hey brother, I see the way you use the TheraGun, for recovery. the competitor gun, that I have used for years is for corrective and to inhibit muscles to prepare for a lengthening technique, that offer gliding technology. I see how you use this tool as recovery and want a harder hit. That is awesome. Many ways to use percussion technology.
It’s been 7 months from the release of your video, can you confirm If the device is still working? Dose it still hold on to charge? I am asking because I had a terrible experience with the theragun prime that stopped working after only 3 weeks.
If the Theragun Pro rechargeable battery unit ever spoil, there isn't a replaceable unit on sale, you'll have to purchase the entire massage gun again correct?
WARNING: THIS COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT. Mine broke in 2021 after a year of use. Therabody "fixed" it and returned it to me. It went unused for about a year, and then I started using it again on a daily basis. It quickly broke again in a similar way. When I contacted Therabody, they said it was out of warranty so they could not replace it and they no longer do repairs. A $600 product that I thought would basically last indefinitely didn't even last for two years. BUYER BEWARE.
you shold have discussed the battery, their customer service said they recommend you replace the battery every 3 months, which is rediculous and envromentally not friendly
I bought a Theragun Pro 4 on 12/29/22 it never held a charge more than 2 minutes. I charged the batteries it came with- unit did not work. The batteries that they sent as replacements also do not work. I asked for a replacement, they were slow to respond. I asked for a refund and now they’re pretending they didn’t see that request and are trying to replace my unit. Their customer service is awful. DON’T BUY!!!
I had terrible experience with them too , exact same issue regarding the battery life and it seems to be the case for most people, these are terribly made Chinese garbage
@@12234rachelleexactly. I brought mine from a US physical store and it lasted me 5 years and never had battery issue. But broken from the head area. Now I need to buy a 5th generation theragun and I’ll buy it from a actual store from US.
If you press and hold the button (while off and on) for about 30 secs from memory, it does some sort of reset and starts charging again as normal somehow. Don't know why or what the fault is but I've had it and have heard others doing this so I tried it and it worked. 👍

Hello william. After 8 months your gen4 still working? Because in my country gen4 is on sale, and Im wondering g4 or g5.
@@physiowengyea you can buy more if needed the last quite a well I don’t run into issues

nice info thanks
Damn that disappointing. I curently have the d6 pro today thinking it might be worth upgrading to this..
thanks for the report bro. maybe it is 150 min each battery if you let it run on weakest mode. which mode you used for the test?
@@hans3216 I did
@@Knmusic193 nice bro, thanks for the heads up

Thanks for making this video. Does the 5th Gen battery (with USB-C) fit and work in a 4th gen Pro?
Any answer for this question please?
This is no way a worthy upgrade from the 4th Gen pro;
Only 1 battery
Only 20% quieter
Programmed massages?
So not worth it, especially for the price!
yup, 1 battery is a huge downgrade in my opinion
dont forget not briefcase lol

no
Would like a overview on sound
Can we get a comparison to the grpro if you have one
Can you do review on TimTam pro please
Great review; would you prefer this or the Hyperice ?
This if they were the same price. Tho right now I prefer the Hypervolt 2 Pro with the additional heated head accessory

Does nothing to relieve hypertension and or trigeminal pain headaches
Does your force meter change? I have the v5 and mine doesn’t seem to move even with decent force. Or do you need to use certain attachments?
Makes the new Pro Plus seem like a downgrade having an integrated battery without the adjustable arm for different angles…
you shold have discussed the battery, their customer service said they recommend you replace the battery every 3 months, which is rediculous and envromentally not friendly
I don't know why customer service would tell you this. That is simply not true, the battery should last years.
@@ConnectTheWatts but there have been a hell of a lot of reports of the batterys dieing within like 2 months. and they only have a 90 day warranty.
Is it heavy to hold?
How do charge it.
What do you recommend theragun 5 or the Hyperice pro 2 ?
Wait until next week and ask me again (be on the lookout for a new video on the 12th)
Hi, do you know if the g4 batteries will work in a g5 theragun? ? Thanks
It doesn’t they are different unfortunately
@@EdwinsFitnessTD darn. Too bad that they decided to stop selling spares..
Any idea if the new attachment is backward compatible with the 4th gen pro?
I am pretty sure it is, though I'd probably try and confirm with Therabody to make sure
