This is what you find metal detecting art show grounds....

We detected a park that is built into the wide median of a boulevard. They often have art fairs at this park since it is perfectly built for a long line of tent setups on either side of the central sidewalk. But it wasn’t until we were halfway through before we found our first piece of jewelry and it was a 10K gold ring.
From that point forward, we found several earrings and various other pieces that seemed to be art fair detritus. One of the silver earrings was signed Chris Chavez, who is a Native American artist of Kewa Pueblo. We found several pieces of rustic copper jewelry including 3 copper rings and a copper cross. Surprisingly, we found a nautilus fossil with a silver surround for a pendant. This is the 2nd nautilus fossil pendant we’ve found this year.
The only collectible coin was a 1940 nickel. Aside from that, we found over $16 in clad.

The shell is an ammonite. Worth at least 35.00 just for the fossil itself.
