      Do you think Adele would be interested in my song Angel in the Night?

    This is great, one of the rare times were a demonstration doesn't have EDM or Rap but a real song and a song that is actually good. Thanks so much.

    I don't usually like multiband compression that much, but I tried this preset on that Waves Plugin for a master I'm doing. It really helped. Thanks!

      Glad you like it! I'm the same, I haven't always used multiband on mix busses or masters, but LinMB is just great. Most people with a Waves bundle already own it and haven't even realized it's in their plugin collection. Thanks for the comment! :)

      @@audioedges i totally !! That LinMB is a great tone shaping helper!! Also - if you play the loudest part of the song and hit the TRIM button it will adjust the gain so it doesn't clip but is still full volume. Great video - thank you!

    It's funny you mention The Greatest Showman because (I could be 100% wrong) I think he tried to NOT USE any mixbus processing for this show. Because they required a lot of stems, and they used a software to check if the stems pieced up together match with the stereo bounce. And applying processing on the mixbus was getting painful as they (with no surprise) weren't exactly matching. So apparently, from what I recall, this show pushed him to reduce a lot his processing on the mixbus (and even, if I remember correctly, not use any on some of the songs of this show). Fact check what I am saying here tho' :).

    giving up all my sauce . gw mix centric hits all my mixes i stumbled upon it 2 years ago. and it does wonders . i mix perceptively loud so sometimes the gw mixcentric is all i need on the end of mix buss . and it doesnt need an official master. if i use it on the print for mastering it can only be used slightly because the compression it does conflicts to hard with mastering compression

    Thumbs up! I I'M day 1 new to mixing vocals. Which plugin do you think i should learn on using first? EQ Reverb Delay or Compression? Thank You!

    • @audioedges
      @audioedges  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the vid. They all work together, but I’d tackle EQ and compression first. I always process the vocal while dry so I can really hear the processing without reverb or delay swishing around and masking what I hear, haha. I’ll make a beginner vocal processing video super soon! It’s not that hard and you’ll be shocked what a little EQ and compression when used properly can do. The Home Mixing Cheatsheet guide has some good starting points for you!

    Amazing video again, Thank you. I was wondering whether the Linear Phase Mutliband makes sense in my productions (ambient/electronic) but I am already using Gulfoss Master + Soothe, which seems to do the same job?

    • @audioedges
      @audioedges  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks! I’ll often use a bit of Soothe in mastering too and I find LinMB is a very different tool. LinMB works wider bands while Soothe can bite into sharper details. Give it a shot if you have it and see what you think! Would be curious to hear your thoughts :)
